Hi,

I created an account yesterday with the same name. It desapears. Can't log to it. So I clicked on recovery email but it never comes into my mailbox. So i decide to create a new account with the same name (apparently free). So, are accounts desapearing? Have I been deleting? If this is a bug I thing there is some emergency, desapearing members not cool :D

Two things:

1) I think replies are not enough obvious, when I see comments and replies, I didn't even notices there were replies. The space is maybe not big enough or maybe we need some color change I don't know, but it's not obvious enough I thing.

2) This black color background. I'm light sensitive (headache, retinal migraine, etc) I have trouble to read since the combinaison of this dark black and flashy white are "hurting me". I don't have big health trouble, just it's unconfortable and I can't read too long withtout having the text "printed" on my eyes (need some secondes to desapear). I think you may take example on discord black theme, it doesnt hurt me at all and it's grey and white like here ! As a big company I guess they studied that case :P (sorry for beeing weak and having trouble with that^^)

So, like a lot of people, questions are asked (mostly on pwn...). I don't know if you are allowed (for now?) to answer, if not feel free to delete this thread and i'll know, but questions are coming so I ask them:

- Why a new website?

- Why not a word of it on pwn ? If you are like, all fired from pwn and arent allowed to do advertising you are taking risks and it's weird, and if you are allowed to do so, it's weird that you don't do it (or maybe your servers cant hold too much for now)

- Is pwn going to live in addition to this one? (so much archievement over years)

- It feels like you are abandonning pwn, is something bad happening?

I think letting people in the blur is not cool since we dont know what we need to do and as an old member I also enjoy the fact that I have a lot of archievement, beginning from zero once again, I don't know, thats sad :(

Seems when I comment on the new cards it's disappearing.  I've tried twice now.

I've been going to the Fan Creation forum on HearthPwn just about daily for years now. It's easily the best part of the website in my opinion, and pretty much the only reason I stay on, as well as card reveal season.

One of the most disappointing things about HearthPwn was that there wasn't very much emphasis put on the fan creation community. News articles regarding the fan community or their competitions never received much attention. Not everyone is interested in creating cards, I get it, but I think it's still possible to do something about it. I have some proposals.

Over here, Sylicas made his/her own column called "Archivist's Lore", where he/she brings up some cards and talks about how they relate (or don't) to WoW lore. It's a really nice read. One proposal I had was to have something like this called "Fan Community Spotlight" or something like that, name is subject to change. In this column, we look at a custom class or card set that someone has made, interview that person and talk about the process of creating the set. Anybody could choose to run it if they want to, doesn't have to be me. Doesn't have to be run on any sort of basis either.

Over here, I also made a guide on creating a Basic set for a custom class, which I copied over from HearthPwn where I also posted it there.

When making a custom class, the Basic Set is arguably the hardest set to get right. We all want to get to our flashy cards as soon as possible, but the Basic Set is the most important set. It defines the groundwork for the class. The quality of your Basic Set will greatly impact the rest of your class. The other hard part about it is that they can't be very obscure, because they're intended to be... Basic. They're cards that are intended to be very simple, yet very essential for the class.

Each class's Basic set should include:

Single Target Damage

• Demon Hunter: Shadowhoof Slayer, Chaos Strike, Glaivebound Adept, Inner Demon
• Druid: Moonfire, Claw, Starfire
• Hunter: Arcane Shot, Kill Command
• Mage: Frostbolt, Fireball
• Paladin: Hammer of Wrath
• Priest: Holy Smite
• Rogue: Backstab, Shiv
• Shaman: Frost Shock, Fire Elemental
• Warlock: Mortal Coil, Soulfire, Drain Life, Shadow Bolt
• Warrior: Heroic Strike

AoE

• Demon Hunter: Coordinated Strike (situational) Soul Cleave, Chaos Nova
• Druid: Savage Roar (friendly), Swipe
• Hunter: Multi-Shot
• Mage: Arcane Missiles, Arcane Explosion, Frost Nova, Flamestrike
• Paladin: Consecration
• Priest: Holy Nova
• Rogue: Fan of Knives
• Shaman: Totemic Might (friendly), Bloodlust (friendly)
• Warlock: Hellfire, Dread Infernal
• Warrior: Whirlwind, Cleave

Every class should have access to at least one non-friendly AoE with Shaman being the odd one out, presumably because they have Lightning Storm in the Classic set. Even Rogue, whom is supposedly the epitome of weak when it comes to AoE, still has Fan of Knives in their Basic set (and formerly, Vanish as well).

Card Draw

• Demon Hunter: Chaos Strike
• Druid: Starfire, technically Wild Growth also counts because of Excess Mana.
• Hunter: Tracking, Starving Buzzard
• Mage: Arcane Intellect
• Paladin: Hammer of Wrath
• Priest: N/A
• Rogue: Shiv, Fan of Knives, Sprint
• Shaman: N/A
• Warlock: Mortal Coil
• Warrior: Shield Block

Both Shaman and Priest are notably odd men out here. Shaman can be assumed to be out because of the existence of Mana Tide Totem in the Classic set. Priest is out because of the rotation of Northshire Cleric out of the Basic set and the change to Power Word: Shield.

Removal/Neutralization

• Demon Hunter: N/A
• Druid: N/A
• Hunter: Hunter's Mark
• Mage: Frostbolt, Frost Nova, Polymorph
• Paladin: Humility
• Priest: Shadow Word: Death, Shadow Word: Pain, technically Mind Control also counts.
• Rogue: Sap, Assassinate
• Shaman: Frost Shock, Hex
• Warlock: Sacrificial Pact, Corruption
• Warrior: Execute

Druid this time is the exception to all of the other classes. We can assume this is because removal is supposed to be a weakness for Druid and they make up in other aspects. Demon Hunter similarly has no direct hard removal, but does have a lot of access to damage and specializes in attacking (whether it be from your hero or your minions).

Once you get past that, you can also add cards that specifically fit to your class's themes. For example:

• Beasts for Hunter (Timber Wolf, Animal Companion, Kill Command, Houndmaster, Starving Buzzard, Tundra Rhino)
• Healing/Health Buffs for Priest ([Hearthstone Card (Power Word Shield) Not Found], Radiance, Power Infusion)*
• Ramp for Druid (Innervate, Wild Growth)
• Totems for Shaman (Totemic Might, Flametongue Totem)
• Discard for Warlock (Soulfire, Felstalker)
• Weapons for any weapon class (Fiery War Axe, Truesilver Champion, Assassin's Blade)

Northshire Cleric would also count for this category, but his since left the Basic set.

A class's Basic set usually only has 1 or 2 minions.

The class with the most is Hunter and Demon Hunter with 4. If you have more than 4 minions in your Basic set, you should cut a few of them. Rogue formerly used to be the only class with none, but has since had Plaguebringer added. For reference, here is the number of minions in each class's Basic set:

• Demon Hunter: 4 (Shadowhoof Slayer, Sightless Watcher, Satyr Overseer, Glaivebound Adept)
• Druid: 1 (Ironbark Protector)
• Hunter: 4 (Timber Wolf, Houndmaster, Starving Buzzard, Tundra Rhino)
• Mage: 1 (Water Elemental)
• Paladin: 1 (Guardian of Kings)
• Priest: 1 (Psychic Conjurer)
• Rogue: 1 (Plaguebringer)*
• Shaman: 3 (Flametongue Totem, Windspeaker, Fire Elemental)
• Warlock: 3 (Voidwalker, [Hearthstone Card (Succubus) Not Found], Dread Infernal)
• Warrior: 2 (Warsong Commander, Kor'kron Elite)

*Formerly 0

Top tip: It's also a really good idea for cards to follow more than 1 aspect, increasing utility and space. For example:

• Fan of Knives (AoE and Card Draw)
• Chaos Strike (Single Target Damage and Card Draw)
• Frost Nova (AoE and Neutralization)
• Pretty much all tribed minions count as well (such as Tundra Rhino, Water Elemental, and Dread Infernal)

This doesn't mean you should try to make every card like this, but it's nice to have should it happen. Some classes (Shaman and Druid) in particular may not follow some of these categories, in part because they have easy to access cards in the Classic set (Mana Tide Totem, Lightning Storm) or are intended to be weak in a particular aspect. You could possibly justify skipping one of these should that come up.

As a fanatic card creator, I've been making quite a bit of cards through the times. This is a place where i will be uploading new cards, alongside some that have been well received over the times.

As for my first post i will show you the two cards i'm the most proud that i've made. Feel free to ask any questions, or post any feedback in this thread :D

Ok, maybe not a very useful thread, but I really want to express my happiness! Finally, after more than a year (at least in my case) I am super excited about the expansion to come and Hearthstone in general again. Not only do I really like the concept of the expansion and the fact that it will be a theme for the entire year, but the game as a whole is heading in a great direction in my opinion. I feel like the game creators have started caring again about the game itself, as well as the community. Of course we will have to wait and see what the Year of the Dragon will bring, but you have to admit that it's all looking very promising (:

This website, still being in it's infancy, it doesn't seem to have that many deck guides. I'm a little short on time right now, but if people tell me what meta decks they want covered in a guide, I'll go ahead and make those said guides.

What's the deal with this site? It seems like a new hearthpwn, but there's no news anywhere on hearthpwn about it.

The card search should run the option "neutral" in the class filter imho.

It was a bit of a busy end of the week with the new expansion being announced so I wasn't able to get up patch notes for the site. Here's everything important you need to know from Wednesday to Sunday.

Bugs Fixed

• Fixed an issue where it was possible to cause the homepage to error if you published an article that had an empty tag. Thanks for accidentally finding that one, Sylicas, and for only letting the staff see the article!
• Removed client-only rarities from our rarity drop downs.
• Usernames on the site may now only be alphanumeric.
• You can now edit your comments as many times as you like without needing to refresh the page because of shitty JavaScript.

New Features

• Hearthstone Card Reveals
  • Guides with unrevealed cards now display placeholder images.
  • Additional backend changes have been made to prepare for the expansion and make it easier for us to cover.

I saw this Priest deck on twitch recently that allows the player to go infinite.

Cards Required:

• 2 x Twilight's Call
• 1 x Zola the Gorgon

• 2 x Psychic Scream
• 1 x Shadowreaper Anduin (Death Knight)

The key to this deck is to control your opponent until you begin fatiguing.  You need to keep both Spirit of the Deads in your hand along with Zola throughout the entirety of the match.  On your turn before you begin to fatigue you need to make sure you are in Shadowreaper Anduin form.

The combo is 2 x Spirit of the Dead, Zola the Gorgon, and Amara, Warden of Hope (Quest Completion).

Play both Spirits, Zola one of them and then ping your Zola to get 2 copies in your deck, you can now always play Spirit, Zola it, kill Zola, and avoid Fatigue forever.  Weave in Amara, Warden of Hope as required, very useful to have that extra Seance handy too.

Good chance of getting Amara spirited as well.

Iv seen many ppl complain about PVE content not being free anymore. If you stop and think about what you are getting in return for your investment, it is actually pretty decent.

• There will be PVE content consisting of 5 chapters. You get the first chapter for free.
• Each chapter (after the first one) will cost 700 gold.
• Each chapter (including first one) will reward you with 3 RoS packs for its completion.
• Completing all 5 chapters reward you with a card back and a golden Classic pack.
• Owning all 5 chapters will reward you with a golden Zayl, Shadow Cloak.

So lets sum this up:

• You pay 2800 gold total (or $20) and you get 15 RoS packs, 1 golden Classic pack and a golden copy of Zayl, Shadow Cloak.

So compared to previous, free PVE content, where the reward was a card back only, for basically 1300 gold (or literally $0 lul, since 15 packs in shop cost $20), you get a golden Classic pack and a golden Zayl, Shadow Cloak. Obviously the gold price is not as favourable as real money, but i think in the end it is ok, since we have the option to use gold in a first place.

That sounds like a pretty damn deal to me!

Very true. Golden Classic packs have its own, separate pity timer from the regular, non-golden Classic packs, do keep that in mind while opening.

Rise of Shadows is Hearthstone's eleventh expansion and is set to release on April 9, 2019.

New Keyword: Twinspell - You get a second copy of the spell (without the Twinspell keyword).
Schemes - Spells that get more powerful the longer you hold them in your hand.
Lackeys - These are 1/1 tokens created by other cards that have a variety of Battlecry abilities, such as dealing damage, giving other minions Attack/Health bonuses, or summoning new minions. More will be introduced throughout the year.
Old Mechanics: Look for some old mechanics that haven't been used in awhile to make a resurgence throughout the year.  We'll definitely be seeing the "Forbidden" mechanic from Whispers of the Old Gods where you are required to spend all of your mana to play the card (Forbidden: Ancient, Flame, Shaping, Ritual, and Healing).
Arena: The cardpool availability will change to include the following sets: Basic, Classic, Naxxramas, Whispers of the Old Gods, Goblins VS Gnomes, The Witchwood, and Rise of Shadows.
Pre-Order: $50 and $80 options will be available for pre-order and both come with the new card back "The Jewel of Lazul" shown below.
