Light that cigar. Questline mage got nerfed.

Hi,
I am about to craft a legendary demon, and was thinking of Tickatus. That got me thinking:
1) Usually I am crafting the wrong card, so wanted to know if anybody is playing the dude?
2) On HSreplay he is performing lower than I expected, why?
3) With this big boy on the list, why distruptlock doesn't see a comeback?
Any thoughts?
Thanks for sharing :)

We can't let Un'Goro Crater have all the fun - what could possibly go wrong bringing some more Dinosaurs out to play?
Nirast is looking for us to travel back in time this week, so bring your best prehistoric cards to the table!
As always, I can be reached through Discord or here on the site via PM if you have any issues to report.
Here are the phases of this card design competition

Yeah, so pretty much every game is a 20 minuite drag out value war.
Bandlewood is popular you can run it with Heimer or Swian or Poppy or anything else.
The only thing that matters is that you maintain infinite card advantage until you hit your finisher, or maybe you don't and it doesn't matter.
Targon does this pretty well also, and so does shadow. Not a lot else to say, like even overwhelm decks and aggro decks rely heavily on cycling now.
Using cards like lecturing yordle or the 7 mana shurima card, so how does everyone feel is this fun?
Like now that I understand what the game is I can patience my way through a handful of games a day by running rebel lists but thats about it.
It all feels exceptionally slow...and rather redundant, like what deck are you running? Who cares as long as it's 50 - 80% cycling...woo good times.
Then there's obviously the rally Zed decks which are the only lists fast enough to contend with what people are playing.
I really hope the next expansion includes less cycling and more cheap aoe or box style affected, or something like cyndervines from magic that punishes opponents from playing too greedy.

So I didn't do one of these for Stormwind because I wasn't really in the mood at the time, but apparently someone else picked up the slack on that so we're good. This miniset doesn't really seem to have any super complicated achievements because I've already completed them all with very little overall effort (although that might vary depending on your collection). Anyways, here goes as usual:
Even Playing Field
Tedious but manageable. JUst fill one half of your deck with card draw and the other with minions with 1-3 attack and upwards of 4 health (Silverback Patriarch meta pog). It'S gonna take a while and it is boring as fuck, but with only 20 hits total it's doable. Something tells me they used to have more and cut them down during playtesting after the Sigil fiasco.
?Por Que No Los Dos?
Same grind as the previous one, although you can speed it up with Moonlit Guidance to create extra copies. Bouncing the Jerrys also works.
Carrion My Wayward Son
Apparently bugged as of now, but should be easy to complete. Not sure how the game tracks triggering different Deathrattles over multiple games, but basically all you need to do is switch out your Deathrattle cards after each game. If you manage to build a deck without beasts you can easily tutor for the Parrot as well.
I Prefer Leftovers
Requires a bit of setup. You can use the Quest to get +3 spell damage and then fill the rest out with Talented Arcanist, Imprisoned Phoenix or Aegwynn. Alternatively, double Phoenix set up into a single spell damage minion also gets you there. Use Terrorguard Escapee to guarantee a 1/1 to shoot.
Robin Hood
Shield of Honor and Blessing of Might make it easy. Make sure you have your 1-damage ping of choice ready to activate Shield.
Should Have Seen This Coming
Possibly the most difficult one. The best way is to build a Shadow Priest deck with a lot of copy cards (such as Thoughtsteal and Mind Vision) and hope you find some burn or a sturdy minion. Everything else is just classic aggro gameplay. This is best to do in Wild because you get access to Mind Blast, which is cheap burst damage that allows you to get lethal out of nowhere and kill your opponent before they conced. Voidtouched Attendant also helps with damage breakpoints. Seance is very useful card for this one because you can actually choose a useful minion to copy.
Alternatively you can also try a more control based approach with a Mind Blast finish where you try to gaslight your opponent into thinking you don't have as much reach.
They're More Like Guidelines...
Very annoying if you don't own the two legendaries that allow you to cheese it: Lorewalker Cho and Valeera the Hollow.
First one means playing CHo, stealthing him with the stealth Gadget from Find the Imposter and possibly adding Divine Shield from Guardian Augmerchant and then hoping your opponent takes up the shenanigans.
The other is a bit more elaborate. You want to find both your Parrrley and transform into Valeera the Hollow. From there you play double Educated Elekk and play 3 Parrrleys, which then nets you a total of 6 shuffled into your deck once the Elekks die. From there you draw the remaining ones with Stowaway (or whatever else you want) and then hopefully survive long enought to play 5 more. Best done in Wild if you run into some sort of slow Priest deck. I was fortunate enough to meet a DMH Warrior who clearly didn't mind getting his entire deck swindled from him.
Thanks for the Loaner, Thrall
Best done in Wild. There are currently 4 6-mana weapons in the game. 2 of those are Epic, the other 2 are Legendary. This means that by equipping Doomhammer or Boggspine Knuckles and playing Suckerhook the next turn you have a 50% chance of instantly completing the achievement. Try until you succeed. It's easy.
Who Ordered Imps?
You need to trade 3 times, have an empty board and most importantly not run out of cards before you fully upgraded because you can't trade into an empty deck. Don't run more than 1 copy of Wicked Shipment, it'll only make it harder.
Hammer DOWN!
Trivial thanks to the multitude of weapon tutors in Warrior. The Quest is one, Corsair Cache is another two and if you really need it you can also get Forge of Souls.
Magician's Assistant
Best done with Rogue. You have access to Brain Freeze, Shadowstep, Potion of Illusion, and various poisons for 4 spell schools already. Wand Thief will likely get you a Fire spell (and an Arcane one too if you don't own Potion). Additionally you can use Shadowjeweler Hanar to get yourself a Holy Secret (or a Fire one too)
Sneed's New Shredder
(formerly Chuck's). JUst throw him into any of the other decks (except DH). It takes a while but it'S not so bad. If you want to target farm it, throw it in a Druid deck with Ramp and Moonlit Guidance for extra copies. Bouncing works too.
That's it, that'S all I got. See you next expansion.

I have level 30 and apparently we had same equipment, but their starting statistics were a few points better than mine.
How they achieved that ?
Tks

I know it was mentioned few times before, mercenaries have only race in tags and because of that we aren't sure which character is horde/alliance/neutral.
But to mess it up more, in last patch they added "Pirate" tag, which obviously isn't a race, right? Wrong! I have Mr. Smite and went to run with Lady Anacondra, I picked up +3/10 buff for elves and taurens and it didn't work for Mr. Smite (and humans buff probably doesn't work with Edwin). So Smite and Edwin belongs to mysterious Pirate race and they only look like common races. Blizzard please...

I really wanted to share this card. It's obviously inspired by Demon Companion, but with an increase to the stats instead. For this cost, it did feel right to let the player discover the Companion to play around the board, rather than just summoning a random one. I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts.

The removal option. I wanted the Huffer alternative to have Rush rather than Charge. The card is intended to be allround, and I didn't want there to be a go-to option.

The buffing option. It felt necessary to scale up the Attack buff. It could be used in a token deck just for this option, but still wouldn't be bad in other decks if you already have a few minions on the board.

The value/stalling option. Pretty straightforward.

Wanted to add this as a bonus. Originally made these cards in an attempt to revisit spell Hunter for a custom expansion that I will never finish, because finding art takes forever and I don't even have a theme nor keyword for it yet.

Is anyone else finding their Filter section becoming stuck on? I'm having to save the deck, close it, turn the filter off and then re-open the deck to continue editing it.

I suck at deck building. Especially since I only have access to a PC and can only play on mobile devices it's really hard to get sth. together on the small display. I'm looking for an idea for an Diablo deck. I have only the 3 dmg hero power and fire stomp. My plan was to auto complete a deck, but I don't find the option to do this. Should I build around the WL Questline? I don't have any idea ...
As I just plan to play to complete the Legendary quest i could throw in any cards, but I like to have at least some kind of synergy.

Oh well this ain't mtg that's for sure...thing like mana banking the excessive cost of removal, and rallies pretty much negate any strategy that doesn't win in 5 turns.
Really is mind numbing...
Its like 3/4 of your deck does not matter at all, you're just pushing soooo hard for the one straight line of linear play
Wake me up for the next balance patch, expansion, or when Swim starts giving a damn again...zzzzzzz

I quit Hearthstone a few months ago, after years, because it was basically making me unhappy to play it. I just returned, got the new mini-set, figuring I'd see if anything has changed. It's just worse than it ever was, at least to me.
I'm not angry, just sad. I remember when the game was interactive, people actually played minions and figured out strategies as the game went along. Now, it's just people performing repetitive tasks until they win. It finally occurred to me that I'm wasting my life sitting here watching unhappy people hyperactively perform OCD rituals, as if there's some sort of meaning in that.
Perform some sort of repetitive task until you win the game, or puke cards and go face. It amazes me how people can find the game fulfilling. I gain no pleasure from mindless puking a bunch of little cards. I mean, what the point in winning a silly little game if you have to get a lobotomy to do it. Or just perform the same sequence over and over, thinking that there's somehow value in performing an OCD ritual that gets you wins in a silly game.
I already have OCD. It's not like I need to indulge it further by just performing rituals and calling it a game. And it makes me sad to just sit there and watch someone just repeat the same sequence over and over, getting all hyper over repeating the same meaningless task again and again.
Where's the fun? Where's the interaction? People just seems so stressed and unhappy, and just behave so poorly and childishly. I really get the feeling that so many people are unhappy and are just doing the same thing over and over without even knowing why or asking themselves if the game is a fun addition to their lives like it should be, or if it's just a stressful obsession.
I won't even go into the fact that Blizzard is a master of exploiting their customers' weaknesses in order to exploit the prevalence of OCD-related tendencies and get them dopamine-addicted. I just see so little evidence that people are happy, with most people being poor losers, and, even more amazingly, extremely poor winners.
It just doesn't seem as if it's a game anymore, as opposed to just an obsession that brings out the worst in people. I suppose exploiting OCD and inducing dopamine addiction is good for business, but the game just makes me sad at this point.
I watch people hyperactively cycle through their decks in casual and think great, I just wasted some time watching your perform an OCD ritual for no reason, and you just wasted some of your precious time on earth just performing the same sequence of meaningless actions for the hundredth time. What fun.
People wonder why such an extraordinary percentage of young people are unhappy and feel their lives are meaningless. People thrive on interaction, and it's bad enough, and unhealthy enough, that people are isolated on their phones and computers. Hearthstone wasn't necessarily genuinely social even when gameplay was interactive, but, now, it's really just a parody of isolation, just perform your repetitive task and toss a passive-aggressive emote at your opponent when you win because you don't even recognize him or her as being human.
I really only mean to comment on how mind-numbingly boring gameplay has become, but it's hard not to wonder why people just keep on playing and don't really seem to care that they're becoming automatons. That's the problem with dopamine addiction and OCD, you get a charge like you accomplished something, but, actually, deep down, you know you've accomplished nothing.
Not that gaming is ever really a meaningful accomplishment in the overall scheme of things, but there's no harm in challenging yourself and having some fun. I just don't see mindlessly performing repetitive tasks and puking cards as either.
Just a thought, and, of course, your mileage may vary. But, if you feel depressed, quit petulantly every time you lose, am always getting angry over the game, need to be passive-aggressive and abusive to your opponent in order to feel something, etc., it's something to consider.
It's amazing how less-stressed and happier I was not playing the game for a few months. The compulsion is still there, but it's gotten to the point, after taking time off, that it's just too obvious how unhappy the game makes me. Not that dopamine and OCD doesn't induce you to ignore the fact that you're unhappy, but it's better to face the truth.
I hope I'm wrong and all of you people are happy and having genuine fun. I know some people will inevitably say that some people don't care that they're not being interactive or that their deck is designed to minimize the difference between good and bad players and keep people spending money, that winning is what they enjoy. It's amazing how much that sounds like an addict talking. Don't care how I get my fix as long as I get it.
Maybe people should look at games like this the same way that they look at other addictions, don't indulge if you need it as opposed to want it. Or just go ahead and repeat the same repetitive sequence for the thousandth time, as if you'll look back from your deathbed and think that was time well-spent.
Life is short. Be happy. Goodbye Hearthstone.
