Poor Flux, who will get barely no sleep and has to deal with "i have zero bandwith"-online-station.net at the very beginning!

I’ve noticed this for myself as a player, and I’m curious if anyone else feels the same way. The super-villain Syndrome once said, “With everyone super, no one will be.” It seems to me like that has almost happened here in LoR.

What I mean by this is we are currently sitting in a pretty balance meta. You can use a huge variety of decks now to laser through the rankings. 

My problem is, with no predominant decks that are the “Top Dog” to take down, there isn’t as much satisfaction in a victory. My decks don’t feel special, because nearly any deck is good right now. 

It’s a weird paradox. It sucks fighting a boss who you know you will lose too. But it also sucks when there isn’t really any boss at all. 

These are just my musing’s. I’d be curious to hear if you have noticed the same thing.

Very seldom have we seen a situation where a champion can essentially be jammed into a variety of lists and have them be statistically competitive if not amazing.

Right now on mobalytics you'll see 4 different lists of similar viability

- shadow demacia

- shadow Ionia

- shadow freijord

- momo shadow

All of which perform essentially the same, suggesting that A Viego is so strong that he doesn't need much deck support B he is so strong his support cards don't matter.

Just 3 drop plus hydra, plus glimpse, and away we go.

I really like the idea that legends is a game where cards have to be built around.

But given the fact that Viego is both a she who wanders, and a better kindred, suggests that maybe we add more support for him while narrowing down exactly what kind of card he's supposed to be.

Is he a finisher  is he a controller, or is he simple a bomb that does everything? Cuz thats what he is right now.

Not to mention the token generation makes him function similar to Elise or heckarim.

So 3 champions in one body, and the only champion who's spell functions as a better vengeance.

It has been a while since the last Arena Impact thread here on out of cards. The last one dates back to the Ashes of Outland card reveal and it had only two people rating cards and it didn't get a lot of response. To be frank, I believe the thread went by mostly unnoticed to me as well. Still, I always enjoy reading such threads and I feel a bit sad that there wasn't such a thread for recent expansions. To hopefully prevent this from happening this time around I decided to raise some attention, hence this thread.

Arena is my main mode, been on the leaderboard once, and I'm willing to rate cards for Arena completely voluntary. Would people be interested in an Arena Impact thread for United in Stormwind? Would anyone else be willing to rate cards for Arena format specifically? I'm willing to do this on my own if I have to, but of course, it's a lot more fun if more people are involved. Personally, I don't care if you're staff here on OoC nor if you're an experienced Arena player or not, but I'm no staff member either so if any staff member can comment on this that would be nice.

Also, if you're not willing to put in the time to rate cards for the Arena format specifically, but would like to see such a thread a comment would be much appreciated as well.

Tl;dr: My goal here is to gather some Arena enthusiasts, both rating and reading, in order to have some fun while rating cards and shine some light on Arena. The format could use some attention.

So Tempo decks are essentially ruling the meta right  now

1. Azir Irelia 58 percent winrate

2. Zed Sivir 57.5

3. Pirate aggro 58.7

4. leblanc sivir and shen jarvan 56.5

5. discard aggro 56.8

6. Zed Temo 56.3

7. Draven Fizz 57.1

The reality is that there isn't a single slower deck that breaks the 55% winrate barrier, meaning that none of them can be considered A/S tier if we are simple going off statistics

Poor turbo thralls has dropped from a S tier deck to barely a 50% winrate, I think that this is definitely indicative that tempo>control right now

Ideally we would see a healthy balance between these two forces, where opponents who hit the board hard without thinking can get punished 

But as it stands right now this simple isn't the case if we go by the numbers

Do we need to start seeing across the board buffs to removal options?

If combat tricks can give a card 3/1 for 1 mana or 3/0 0/3 for two, what about removal buffs?

6 mana vengence, 7 mana reckoning, 4 mana grasp, a P and Z card that does 4 dmg like soul spear

If we look at any of these deck lists none of them are attempting to control out the opponent that's a problem

Let's see one more balance adjustment with a focus on removal options in August

Anybody know if we will be able to get the Stormwind Tavern pass with gold?

Am I the only one who dislikes that T5 released these so early into the meta and has not bothered to update them, despite the fact most of them have been nerfed and do not see any competitive play? How many of them could you realistically keep a positive wr with anyways? It just seems kind of dishonest that these are being described as meta when only the paladin, priest, and warrior decks are.

Already we have some pretty definitive data here.

Anything that curves out is doing exceptionally well right now, and anything that doesn't isn't.

So 55% and up

Decks closer to 50%

It turns out that when all the slower decks do is go for one turn lethal they kind of get blown out by anything that builds up its board.

I would say the solution is to run removal but sivir, ruin runner complicate that climbing equation.

Not enough to stop Ezreal Draven, and Swain Tf from being the strongest control decks in the meta...must be all that removal they run.

My usual favorite has been The Thunder King since saying, "You serve well " followed by "Kneel before me!" has an awesome sexual undertone I hope my opponents pick up on during the many times I shout it in a game.

Lately it's been Annhylde. Her "Rise to meet your fate" threat is so perfect to spam the rest of the game when you have them at low life. The way she says it is just priceless.

I was hearing some complaints, when the latest nerfs were announced, that Shaman need to be hit. I rolled my eyes, thinking the class had just spent a year or so in the toilet, and as soon as they have any success, people need to cry for nerfs. I hadn't really played it much lately, since my previous control shaman deck that I found fun got rotated out of existence. 

Then I received the Fire Festival quest to play ten (10!!!) games as a shaman, so I figured, ok, the elemental thing seems ok, i'll throw a bunch in a deck with some spells and see how it goes. So I did that, without consulting the sites - my deck has no weapons, but I managed to squeeze in Instructor Fireheart, Al'Akir the Windlord, and Bru'kan, because I like legendaries. I also put in that elemental that summons a minion off of your highest cost spell, but only put in one high cost spell (Tidal Wave), which I usually draw before the elemental, haha. Janky, for sure.

Played my 10 games. Went 10-0. Maybe people were right. . . 

Legends of Runeterra is a unique game in the sense that many champions offer infinite card advantage.

We have champions that generate removal, champions that generate draw, champions who double your spells, champions who generate token, champions who outright win the game.

So if thats the case why do sooo many players sit and do nothing marveling at their 10 card hand as they loose the game.

Its because they haven't realized one simple truth...card advantage is for control decks.

When each piece of removal equals a dead resource on your opponents end card advantage absolutely matters.

But if you're midrange, combo, or aggro it frankly doesn't. You should instead move actively towards your game plan.

If you're thresh Nasus, absolutely kill your own creatures I'd you can't kill your opponents.

If you're Lee Sin, cast spells they don't have to do anything I'd you're 3 cards ahead anyway just cast them.

The sooner you realize that flipping that champ or sequencing the cards correctly is how you win games...the sooner you'll stop card haording.

And the faster you can start winning games, and it won't take you 30 minuites to do it.

Greetings, everyone! I'm back with some new content. Today, I'm presenting you my version of Boss Batle Royale, which is one of my all time favorite Tavern Brawl series, to the point I made a guide on the first edition back on Hearthpwn (lost in ether though). It actually includes heroes from TEN different PvE content, each of different class. Unlike previous iterations, I've decided to create the decks myself to explore potential possibilities and to avoid having some decks being near unplayable - looking at you, Kriziki the Winged!

List of Bosses

I had said previously that rise of the underworld was absolutely a top notch expansion for brewers but I have to say that these card releases during this event might be just as good if not better 

----lets run through a few of the standouts---

Champions:

Akshan is a very flexible card, he can be aggressive and combo oriented, he can be a card advantage tool for control decks, and he's just great landmark support.

Shadow dude is a bit meh by comparison, I like the idea of mind control being better implemented into the game (follower stealing) but I don't like that he's also a better Nasus at the same time. (A little too easy mode) but not op because of how slow he is.

---Removal----

We were just talking about how there's no good removal in shadow isles, and we just got two really strong pieces. It turns out spending 4 mana for slow speed champion removal is actually kiiiinda good, it also adds value to all your healing 

Similarly 5 mana drain two from two units is kind of a high value static shock I love it.

---followers---

Shurima gets a 5 mana 5/5 finally and getting free treasures is pretty strong if you have the support to keep it alive

6 mana for a better cat submarine in Ionia is beyond strong. Because you can choose slow, fast, or burst you can actually reliably tutor out answers...like I dont know 4 mana champion removal.

I like Ibex a lot for more support pieces poor lulu needs some love.

Getting free attacks in noxious is pretty interesting, having a way to turbo level MF in a pirate aggro shell ads nuanced possibilities to a hunga bunga deck

Ice wolf mother is probably my low key favorite, even without running "a lot" of frostbite I found the wolf cub getting to like a 12/12 in Long games and it offers a finisher for frostbite decks that makes more sense thematically

Fury dude is the last one to mention, it's a little akward because if you get a really big Shivana you need to give her overwhelm to win, so that's absolver or sunlight blade, and I'm not an all in on one card kind of player.

Overall just a really solid event that pairs well with both the new champions/cards we got last go around plus the large number of balance changes.

I'm willing to admit that this outstanding work by Riot and honestly if they want to adopt the it ain't broke dont fix it mentality for the rest of the summer they've earned it honestly.

How do I access the reveal schedule for Stormwind via mobile? I had to open it on desktop to geht the direct link (https://outof.cards/hearthstone/expansions/united-in-stormwind/card-reveal-schedule). But it's not linked anywhere on the site. The schedule widget isn't shown when on mobile, because the screen is to small and changing to "Desktop Site" in mobile browser doesn't help.

• News articles which mentioned the schedule, to see if it's linke there
• Tried to open Menu -> Expansions -> Stormwind, but this is not implemented yet 

It would be nice to have a link outside the widget somewhere. Opening the link in the widget via desktop and sending it to your mobile is not very convenient. At least you have to do it only once and can bookmark it afterwards.

Additionaly making the schedule widget somehow also available on mobile devices would be nice, too.

I know what you are thinking right now "Doesn't that happen every Expansion?" and the answer is actually no. The mode has been in "Season 1: Wizzard Duels" since its release. Your memories might mix something up with the "rating reset" coundtown which let to the "Season 1 mid-Season" update in January.

I havn't found any evidence on a Saison update for the Barrens expansion on the Internet. Only that there was a nameless big content update

Season 1 came with 10 heroes with 1 HP and starting Treasure each aswell as a bunch of passive and active Treasures for the runs. I expect something similar with the potential "Mercenary Duels" in Season 2.

Funfact: Since it said "Next Season in 1 > Month" two Months ago I looked up this screen every time after they patch the game and today it was finally worth it.

Since some of you are very easily discouraged, I have cooked up a functioning Control Priest list that can hold the line against aggro decks and still play the long game. Use it. Learn it. And don't complain when you lose to Hunter because you failed to manage your ressources accordingly.

Deck ID Not Found

It's not gonna be a tier 1 deck (as it shouldn't be anyways) but I'd be very surprised if you couldn't take this to Legend in the current meta (which I can't prove unfortunately because I'm already there).

Just play super safe into both Shaman and Demon Hunter and always except them to have the best cards in every situation because if you don't they will blindside you and you die.

Title says it all. I am honestly baffled how this was allowed to slip through. Not even Choices, Choices + Swarm 67 or Agression 122 are as strong, they look like Innkeeper's decks comapred to this Quel'delar monstrosity.
