I was looking at all of the corrupt cards because i was considering making a Y'Shaarj, the Defiler gonk druid deck, mostly as a meme because it would give you Moontouched Amulet but when i looked at all the corrupt cards(for all classes not just druid) i realized that there weren't a whole lot of them. And what was there wasn't super powerful either. And that's got my noggin joggin. They already said they would release more cards with their DMF "mini expansions" and i think that will include better corrupt cards. because other than memeing with Tickatus why would you play Y'Shaarj, the Defiler right now? Fleethoof Pearltusk isn't worth it on it's own. And mechanics like corrupt only stay for one expansion. i am envisioning some pretty good corrupt cards will NEED to come out or this legendary is bricked. and i don't think they'll brick an old god that easily.

First of all, my topic is about duel but there is no category yet so I picked the closest one.

I'm having trouble against people playing with the treasure called "from the swamp" . Most of the time I'm overflowded with a bunch of zombies, even in the case I'm trying my best to clean.

The worst duel I have done so far was against a mage. Wyrm + Zombie are way to strong to beat .

Any advice about how to deal with them? Should I try to go face/tempo depending of what type of deck I'm playing?

I saw a post somewhere that you can already finish some of the achievements for Darkmoon Faire, even it´s not launched yet and you don´t have specific Legendaries or cards. I can confirm you can manage to complete some of them, if you meet the requirements, but I believe you can only complete them in Ranked mode.

For example, I´ve "accidentally" completed  Paladin´s "Lothraxion´s Ballon Shop" just by playing Steward of Darkshire and summoning some dudes with HP or Muster for Battle, Lost in the Jungle... you get the idea. Or you can try it reversed, summon Dudes and use Coghammer or Purifier's Maul on them, I think it should work either way.

Others mention easy completion of Hunter´s "Ride together, Die together" by simply triggering Toxic Reinforcements, or copying the second deathrattle minion on board.

I´m sure there are more, I didn´t have much time to check them out, but if you found out some others, that can be completed now, please share them, so we can gain some sweet XP :)

EDIT: We´ve found another one: Shaman´s "Two Punch Man" is doable with Doomhammer and 2x Rockbiter Weapons, or with any super huge DH attack.

Another to achieve: You can complete the two neutral achievements "Yogg take the wheel" and "Wheel of Misfortune" by playing Casual Duels with mage when you are offered a loot with the new Yogg and manage to play him (The second one needs to be done 3 times with three different outcomes, but it´s not that hard to pull off).

I saw few people discussing this below some main page News, and it didn´t get much attention, so I was thinking to make a thread about it.

What Free Legendary did you get from the Rewards track? Are you happy with the result or it´s the exact one you didn´t want?

Or if you want to, you can even share the free EPIC you get for lvl 5.

My free legendary was Zai, the Incredible - I´d prefer other Legendary over this as I don´t play much DH, but might try now.

That's quite a steep requirement wow.. they seriously put a BIG paywall for those treasures.. those I have seen have been not that great but still 20 epic different cards from the expansion? I have 11 :/ that's 3600 dust to get the remaining 9..

Hey wait a second now... Didn't I get the Tavern Pass when I bought the $80 bundle...? Is Bliz trying to fool me paying 20 bucks to unlock the golden Sylas and Jaina hero or am I missing something? 

So i just ran through book of jaina and book of rexxar again because for some reason the quest thing thinks I didnt beat it(got class packs again and all) which is very odd, but not as odd as on the last boss in book of jaina. It let me play two mirror entities at once and they even both procced on the same minion when the boss played one. Is this a normal interaction? Is book jaina allowed to use 2 of the same secrets? It wouldn't let me earlier in the campaign.

Are games with a hero in the brawl no longer valid for daily quests (like play 3 games with hunter)?

Ok, figure we can try and get the MtG forums going a bit with a fun discussion for anyone who plays here.  In standard right now, what do you think the next set of bans will be?   Since 4x of Drown in the Loch and 4x Bonecrusher Giant are run in 15 out of the top 20 decks I see those as pretty obvious candidates for the ban bat.  Anyone else have any thoughts?  

As someone who love Dimir I'll be sad to see that Drown in the Loch go but with so many ways to fill an opponents graveyard early in the game it's too damned powerful.  Counter that big spell or spot remove any creature.  

The Bonecrusher Giant is stat wise overstated before you have the 2 damage adventure.  He hurts your face to remove and he's tough to trade out on curve.  If you run red you run 4x of him, no matter what deck.  Any time a card stops being optional it's headed for a ban.

Why can they not learn? Tirion was decided too op he was deleted when adding just +1 +1 to BAD units. Now you can pick and choose and give +2 +1 to the best of the best (albeit just up to 5 of them). Jaraxus gives +1 +1 but most demons are bad targets so getting first place is difficult.

An effective change would be making it affect up to four units I think.

i had a weird interaction in a recent game that i don't understand.

Unscarred Reaver on the board. Brightsteel Protector gets played and grants the Unscarred Reaver Barrier.

Enemy attacks with Reckless Trifarian and Unscarred Reaver blocks the attack, knowing that the Barrier will keep the unit alive.

Attack resolves and Unscarred Reaver triggers it's effect, gaining +3 attack.

Barrier reads "Negates the next damage the unit would take.", which i interpret as "the unit does not take any damage at all during an attack without any other effects triggered or spells used."

Unscarred Reaver reads "When I survive damage, grant me +3|+0.", which i interpret as "my effect triggers if i lose hp without dying."

Since Barrier has been active, Unscarred Reaver didn't took any dmg. Why did her effect trigger?

So around 60 cards (half of the set) was revealed yesterday. I have the impression that strong cards of the dump get easily overlooked by the community because there are so many cards at once... 

What is/are your favorite card(s) from the final reveal stream + card dump?

For me it is Foxy Fraud which will be staple in every Tempo Rogue deck from now on.

I thought it's worth highlighting this information because I and probably many others overlooked it in the patchnotes. You can't build your starting Duels deck with MDF cards, but you can find MDF buckets.

"Duels: Season One also begins on November 17, but tomorrow’s patch grants Duels: Early Access to everyone, introduces Whispers of the Old Gods to the pool of eligible sets, and adds Madness at the Darkmoon Faire cards to loot buckets! Once Duels: Season One begins, you’ll be able to add Madness at the Darkmoon Faire cards to your starter deck as well!"

As I understand Hunter had three main tools - 1Direct Face Damage,  2Small beast with good upside( as opposed to Druids' big beasts) and 3secrets. 

Direct damage works in any class, secrets are not that good and Hunters gets outclassed by mage in that field but Beasts are very unique to the class.

Playing Rexxar the Beastmaster that once said "only beast are above deceit", I expected beasts for Hunters to be what Demons are for Warlocks and it was the case in the past - Crackling Razormaw Houndmaster Kathrena Winterwisp

Unfortunately the class lacks decent beasts- Krolusk Barkstripper Phase Stalker Augmented Porcupine, things that matters on board.

Support for beast cards are also just coming back with things like Fresh Scent Master's Call Scavenger's Ingenuity Scrap Shot. 

Do you think the Beasts synergies will at any point reach a viable (enough to not die by 7) spot? That's pretty much the only thing that would get me back to the game other than the class miraculously getting Spell Hunter support.

Disclaimer: I left HS a while ago. I loved playing hunter with a bit of Shudder/meme rogue decks for fun but token decks got stronger and stronger until they released an entire class with strong token cards. I couldn't afford Highlander hunter yet and would have no fun grinding for it; had no intention of joining Aggro Club so I just moved to other games(Mythguard,  Wild Rift). I do watch HS streams sometimes though. 

Just some ideas I came up with. Some are kind of memey. C'Thun Rogue and Quest Pally seem the most fun to me so much value.

Hey, it's time for theorycrafting with the new set! and Deckbuilder (Hearthstone) doesn't seem to be working. Instead of normal collectible cards, it's showing hero powers and hero portraits from PvE content.

How would Carnival Clown work with shudderwock? No way the corrupt effect transfers over right?
