Here is my take on Yrel as a Paladin Hero. I think it is a good idea to introduce cards that use divine shield as a weapon. Looking for some feedback and hoping to win.

Why is the cost so high? 7 mana seems more fair since Priest can res a whole board for 9 mana

Well we can all expect weapon demon hunter to be stronger than ever next expansion when everything rotates out.

Also Galakrond and 7 mana soul shard minion are 7 mana not to mention 9 mana alexstraza

This expansion seems like it has more deck building creativity than ever (for standard)

The 7 drops in standard are half good and half bad so you have a 50/50 chance for something really good. I think this Priest card will get more support revealed for it that will make it even better though.

Oh I can't give a factual evaluation of a card? Nobody in standard will actually play this after theory testing.

Yeah this is very situational because any spell above 4-5 mana will still be good usually. You will probably give them a better spell a lot of the time if its a high cost one.
