Upgraded a Trebuchet to level 2 and it now does 240 per shot (for 600 supplies), so obviously not as efficient but less to maintain.

I noticed that the Trebuchets say "Level 1: 180 per shot", which makes me think that increasing level increases damage per ball, and hopefully not the ball burn rate. If that is the case it might be worth trying for …
