Just necroing this thread to see if anyone has any cards, particularly legendaries, stagnating in their collection that have been thrust into the limelight by the DoD meta.
For me, the biggest turnaround for me has been in my use of this guy:
He's always been a great card, but I think this is the first time control warlock has been a competitive decks since before witchwood was released. Currently having a blast using him in the vs control galacrond warlock list.
Does anyone else have any cards that haven't previously seen play but are shining in the new meta?
in my collection since the first day of witchwood and, apart from sticking him in the occasional meme deck, have barely used him. I always found his dragon tag confusing and pointless, but I wonder if there might be an opportunity to cash in on this synergy in Descent of Dragons. Having said that, I'm a truly terrible deck builder.
Does anyone have any thoughts about this? I'm assuming it would need to be a control deck, which isn't really hunter's forte, but I was thinking along the lines of an early game rush package with the sidequest, before moving on to some late game, dragon flavoured value bombs.
Given that a lot of dragons are pretty expensive, I wonder if there's a greedy build out there that could run this with some low cost spells to survive the early game, making this and Witchwood Piper the cheapest minions in your deck. Tutoring this out fairly consistently could be rather spicy
The mechanic reminds me very much of Kalimos, Primal Lord, with the opportunity to discover 1 of 4 op effects.
Also a bit like Zephrys the Great and its relationship with the class highlander cards - if you want to play your sexy new Galakrond cards optimally, you need to spend 1600 dust on this.
Edit: not quite. Glimmer asks you to guess card from deck, not hand. I wonder if this makes Envoy worse as, if you have a rough idea of the deck your opponent is playing, the odds of guessing a card from potentially 20ish in your deck are better than guessing from 5ish in hand.
No he/she means he can't play because it's already populated with previous 4 card brawl deck. Same here on my NA account but luckily hadn't started previous brawl on EU/Asia.
Having same issue on eu. 2:0 with a pogo deck. 'Play game' button is frozen out so I can't continue the run. Quest reward chest is open, but I haven't had a pack yet. When I try to retire the deck, the popup window asks me if I'm sure, but when i hit 'yes', valeera just stares at me like I'm an idiot.
Between this, the android crashes, inability to reroll quests, inability to squelch, a piss poor standard meta and me having no real interest in battlegrounds, this game is rapidly feeling like more hassle than it's worth...
You guys get your leg quests already? Brawl is open, but no sign of any new quests here on EU :(
Hey all.

Love this SMOrclander deck. Nice mixture of face smashing and playing some fun cards, plus noone expects brann or zephrys.
Great work!
Thanks mate, will check em out :)
Hi all.
Looking forward to dusting off my Whizbang the Wonderful for the opening of the last expansion he'll see before he rotates into wild.
Does anyone have a link to a list of the whizbang decks for the new expansion? Quite like to see what I'll be playing tomorrow :)
Aha, glad to hear it. Thought it was possible someone could have missed the event and decided to craft themselves a golden copy of the card.
I feel much better now :)
There must be at least one guy that crafted a golden sn1p-sn4p that's feeling kinda sad right now...
Will miss bartendotron. Will not miss getting cheesed by lightfang enforcers, although I still reckon they'll be pretty powerful
Just keep going Chris. Pretend everything's fine...
I'm pretty sure it would. Think that's how volcano worked with spell damage
Or even Kobold Geomancer in a budget deck
Hi all,
I've had this guy:
in my collection since the first day of witchwood and, apart from sticking him in the occasional meme deck, have barely used him. I always found his dragon tag confusing and pointless, but I wonder if there might be an opportunity to cash in on this synergy in Descent of Dragons. Would love to hear your thoughts,
M

Aha! Thank you - I forgot about that one :)
Hey y'all
I just got awarded a free dragons pack when I opened the game today - a nice added bonus after yesterday's compensatory gold and uldum packs.
Did everyone get a free dragons pack today? Was it announced in advance? I don't remember reading anything about it.
Nice. Togwaggle's Scheme also says hi.
I can imagine the same despair coursing through my veins as I currently do when a rogue schemes n'zoth back into her deck.
The mechanic reminds me very much of Kalimos, Primal Lord, with the opportunity to discover 1 of 4 op effects.

So is Envoy of Lazul basically a Curious Glimmerroot reprint?
Edit: not quite. Glimmer asks you to guess card from deck, not hand. I wonder if this makes Envoy worse as, if you have a rough idea of the deck your opponent is playing, the odds of guessing a card from potentially 20ish in your deck are better than guessing from 5ish in hand.

Yup, same. I think there was talk of compensation when blizzard posted about it on reddit a few days ago.
Bit annoyed though. I only got to 2:0 and was hoping to do some farming in advance of the next expansion :(
