The answer is pretty straight forward actually. The interactions are a relic of an early design concept they had, where the board would actually impact gameplay by attacking minions and such. They scrapped the concept pretty quickly, but the idea of adding life and interactivity to the board stuck around, giving players stuff to do and discover as they wait around for their opponent to play.
They cover this stuff in the Art of Hearthstone book.
I had that exact same game once, my opponent had that combo and I had a bunch of jades. he ended up winning because he didn't kill my jades so they never got above 12/12 or so. they would have been at about 28/28 if he had killed them.
I was taking 3 damage at a time, he was taking like 50, he sill won though. that deck is near impossible for slower decks.
Yeah it's super busted. Feels like Linecracker shouldn't get the overkill effect, since he's not the one attacking.
But hey, I still won :P My Jade dudes were at least 5-6 steps ahead, so I hung on to the board and slammed his face in so many times, while he was chipping away 3 damage at a time with Malfurion the Pestilent. It was such a long game I was scared it would be called a draw.
Anyways GG to my opponent, it was a pretty intense marathon!
This deck looks super fun. I get burned out so quickly when playing aggro decks, so murlocs really don't do it for me. I'll give this deck a try later today.
This is top of my mobile game wishlist to kill the commute boredom.
Love the game but don't wanna bother playing PC. Got too much other stuff to play.
Anybody get into the open beta yet?
Really? Card art is super sharp, and the visual effects, especially the ultra win sequences (dunno if those are legendaries?) are stunning.
Access still pending :/
Lookin' to replace the Hearthstone itch. I'm done with Blizzard all in all.
Glad to see OOC is showing interest in LoR, it's giving me a good reason to stick around :)

This new incentive for Ranked wins is AMAZING (and long overdue
Great guide! Though it should begin with a disclaimer stating that the features described require a premium subscription:/

Haven't been playing Wild for a while. Tried out the "Greener Choice" deck (which is great BTW), and this happened:
My opponent played Linecracker, 2x BEEEES!!! into it, then 2x Earthen Scales. 2591 armor yay!

Yeah whatever. Clicked to see an impressive play, but nah, just a pointless jab at a missplay.
I only just noticed how amazing the art of this card is <3
Hard to tell what to craft without knowing what you already got. Did you try quest pally? It's pretty fun!
Sure but all those niche to bad cards cards be dusted too.
All I see is 1600 free dust from Luna's Pocket Galaxy's flip flop. Me likes :)
Activate the Obelisk (free), Untapped Potential (pack) and Supreme Archaeology (pack)
Azure Drake says hi!
The old Secretkeeper had such a twisted and deformed pose, I never liked her.
The new one looks dope!
Plus it’s July, not its. ;
That description is making me hungry............
