Not this again...

Disruption is good when the meta is heavy on combo decks or decks whose win condition is in one card like control warrior. The problem is when you can generate more disruption and combo pieces. Example given, control priest.

I know this because I've played the hell out of it. The amount of controlled card generation in this deck is insane. So you can easily end up with 6+ dirty rats, astalors, get every option from ETC, etc. (pun intended). If devs just eased up on this it would be fine honestly. In the meta where combo, otk or big hitter cards don't exist, disruption simply sucks.

Controlled card generation that is also present in other classes like death knight that currently has low amount of cards becomes a big problem when the meta is value heavy and therefore forces disruption cards.

I'm loving a trend of having packs come with the skin for gold. It made me buy a skin for gold for the first time. And it's also the first time we're able to get class packs for gold iirc

Well I hope Hearthstone is next because I really don't want to install any shitty Microsoft clients to run it once Microsoft takes over. It will also be interesting to see how well Hearthstone is standing by looking at the activity data. It could either promote the game if the numbers are decent or shoot its own leg if the numbers are underwhelming.

And gifting bundles could become a lot easier 

I think it's obvious that it was a mistake to make Tony a thing. Jailor was already an unfun card to play against but any control deck could answer it and faster decks could still finish up their game because immune negates taunts. We saw deck swapping mechanic already but it required a much tougher setup to make it happen permanently. Tony has too big of a disruption effect for the current state of the game. So they can either rework Tony or completely nuke Anubarak to disable the combo. But again, without Tony this win condition wouldn't even be possible to think about 

Or this is just an attempt to not disappoint wow fanbase and keep the hype of the event. Surely they're not going to say: "you're right, wow is just our side project at this point".

I'm sorry but I think the percentage of players like you is very small and blizzard cares more about the average player who logically hates being dead by turn 5 unstoppable combo. Wild is full of other combo high skill cap decks and in standard there's a real challenge for you, play nature shaman. It's still a good deck in the right hands, but I'm sure you're good enough to handle it.

Skins purchasable with gold coming with 5 class packs is actually a great deal. You're essentially buying the hero portrait for 500 gold. And if you're new to class packs there are good chances you're getting a legendary.

Tip: wait for the new expansion launch to open the class packs if you're having a decent collection.

Firing producers is no coincidence. The latest trailer was so underwhelming and it looks like that will become a trend. 

Them saying they're redundant positions gives off nothing but bad signs for the game. If anything it feels like they need more people as the game is riddled with bugs that take a while to solve. And the monetization seems more and more greedy with offers like 50$ for 3 cosmetic cards. Honestly, I'm more concerned about the Microsoft acquisition now. A big company like that will dismiss Hearthstone very quickly if they see it doesn't create much profit and that the studio is just another expense.

There's also leak for plans on their blizzard games. One includes ad plan for their mobile games which are cod mobile, candy crush and hearthstone. In other words get ready for some 30 second ads on the mobile version.

Yogg will most likely be a shop skin

Wild gets a new otk every expansion. It doesn't mean it's going to be good. Actually it's one of the worst combos you can get with eonar and guff, there are much better options already. And yeah good luck getting to 20 mana in wild

Yogg seems surprisingly tame in terms of randomness. Pretty strong but 5 health means you're always getting one ability. Still worth it tho

Yogg isn't in standard either yet here he is in anomalies. If you didn't know, Whizbang still gives you standard only decks. He just pulls them from deck recipes that are already in the game and they are always standard only

I'm predicting that one of Cho'gall's anomalies will replace both decks with one of Whizbang's decks.

Wild heroic brawl is the biggest gold trap since competitive wild is just riddled with turn 3-4 combos that win games almost instantly. Even if you're a good player with tier 1 deck you have little chance to make this profitable.

They should make skins for 3 games a regular thing. That way you're essentially paying 1k gold for a skin just like in the shop and you get some extra packs

I was never a fan of fireside gatherings and pre release events. They kill all the hype. I used to be hyped at expansion launch when everyone at the same time opened their packs and try new decks. Now there's barely any since everyone already opened packs and you already have an idea of what decks are bad. Hopefully this brings back a taste of those old times. I hope they ditch pre release deck building by streamers as well.

What happened to the Hearthstone section of this site? It seems like it's a forgotten game and your main focus is just generic gaming news found on every possible gaming portal. A lot of the Hearthstone news are really late and some aren't even published, no notifications about twitch drops, but amazon prime extras with affiliate links are always on time. 

You guys built all of this on Hearthstone all the way back from hearthpwn days and now you can't even respect it enough just to post some timely regular news.
