Gran Turismo 7 Limited Edition PlayStation 5 Controller Available for Pre-Order October 22

To add onto the long list of limited edition PlayStation 5 controllers, Gran Turismo 7 has joined the cosmetic craze in celebration of the first part of the Spec IV update launching tomorrow, bringing six new cars and a new track, Sportsland Sugo, to the game (and the first time in the franchise).

The controller's design celebrates 30 years of Gran Turismo (even though we're still a full year away from the 30-year anniversary of the original release of the first game), with a design that is intentionally reminiscent of the Ford GT LM Race Car Spec II, which was prominently featured in the opening movie of Gran Turismo 4, viewed as the signature game of the game, and has since continued to appear in every mainline game since.

To the right is the quote, "the drive of your life", which was the official tagline of that game. To the left is the number 30 representing 30 years of the franchise, and also calling back to the number 4 featured on the car, and a celebration of 100 million copies of each game sold cumulatively, which it achieved on June 25th 2025.

Pre-orders for the controller start on October 22, and the controller official launches globally on December 10.

Quote From David Robinson

Inspired by the craftsmanship and engineering at the heart of Gran Turismo, this limited edition DualSense wireless controller pays tribute to 30 years of The Real Driving Simulator. Racing stripes and motorsport-inspired graphics are paired with a textured, carbon-fibre-style front plate, bringing elements of automotive design and performance to the controller. Kazunori Yamauchi reflects on the inspiration behind the controller:

“Thirty years ago, Gran Turismo began with a vision to share the beauty and joy of the automobile. This commemorative controller celebrates the journey we have shared together, and I am deeply grateful to everyone whose passion continues to inspire us.”– Kazunori Yamauchi, CEO of Polyphony Digital Inc.

That is an incredible looking controller. I don't need it. I don't need it. I don't need it. I don't need it.

I'm not a car or racing guy, but that controller is sleek. Really looks like a race car.

This is definitely one of the coolest PS5 controllers they've ever made.

I actually really want this one.
