During the State of Play was the announcement of Gran Turismo 7 Spec IV, adding two new tracks, twelve cars, and a myriad of other features and improvements. In the same vein as the Spec III announcement from last year, it is one of the biggest changes to the game in its history, providing the following list of updates:
Two new circuits
Sportsland Sugo
Autumn Ring
Twelve new cars, though at the moment, we only know six of them.
BMW M5
Honda Mugen Motel Civic Si '87 Race Car
Citroen 2CV
Honda Stepwgn Spada
Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo
Driver Level cap has been increased to 90 (not official announced, but visible in the announcement).
Online Drift Trial races
"Shuffle" race mode.
Car free look mode in dealership.
Car concierge feature.
Some sort of pseudo-license feature with the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra?
New "Family" mode to be more accessible to young kids.
New Power Pack difficulty level.
It was announced in the trailer that more would be announced at the third round of the Gran Turismo Would Series in Singapore on October 3.

Quote From Polyphony Digital Next year marks the 30th anniversary of the original Gran Turismo, and to celebrate the milestone, Gran Turismo 7 will receive a free major update called “Spec IV.” The update will be released in two parts, with the first arriving in October and the second in December 2026.
The updates will add a variety of new content and features, including two new circuits, 12 distinctive cars, a new “Family” mode designed for families to enjoy together and more.

Two new circuits will be added. The first is Sportsland SUGO, one of Japan’s foremost technical circuits, known for its dramatic elevation changes.
