A new Neutral Legendary Weapon has been revealed by Hearthstone in a promotional email. Sup, Scry?
Quote From Blizzard If knowledge is power, then the students of Scholomance Academy are very, very powerful. For proof of the reality-bending and mind-mending application of the students' studies, look no further than the Sphere of Sapience. With this new neutral Legendary weapon, you can reach into the future and turn the finnicky fingers of fate into favor.

Cool card but it is so painfully slow that I can only see it being played in slow control decks that don't run any other weapons. This card is very comparable to Opt from MTG but this card is considerably worse due to Opt being a cantrip and an instant. It's nice that this weapon doesn't lose durability if you keep the card on top, but that does not fix the issue of this card taking ages to get maximum value.
The reason why scry is such a good mechanic in MTG is that it is just stapled onto other cards as well as being put into decks that are specifically looking for specific cards. MTG having 60 card decks hurt the consistency of decks, resulting in cantrips like Opt, being ran in pretty much any deck that can run blue. Hearthstone on the other hand only has 30 cards which makes the games significantly more consistent and as a result, isn't as reliant on cantrips.
I don't think this card is bad per se but I also don't think it is worth a card slot in decks. I'd be happy to be wrong about this card since it seems a lot of people like the card but I'm not seeing it. Oh on an aside it's hilarious in wild with Twig but that seems like a pipe dream since there is still no neutral weapon tutors yet.
This card goes in every single standard deck and will get nerfed week 1.
If you have this turn 1 and your opponent doesn’t, there’s a significantly higher chance you will win.
Acidic Swamp Ooze will be the second most played card
I will meme it with Hoard Pillager.
Hearthstone... getting Scry...
What is 2020 XD
4 opts in one weapon? Yes, please!
Definitely insane for each and every class that doesn't use weapons. A little less good for ones that do, but still playable unless you rely ultra-heavily on weapons like Warrior and arguably Hunter and Demon Hunter (you can always use just a part of it and equip a weapon over it if you absolutely have to.
So you're telling me that Twig of the World Tree wild druid has a potential easy 10 mana on turn 5 now (turn 3 with two innervates)
I might start playing wild afterall if I'm allowed to have that kind of meme.
Turn 1 with Lightning Blooms if you're lucky enough to get all four cards in your opening hand. You'll see this in a Trolden video eventually, mark my words.
So essentially this card allows you to circumvent draw rng in a way, at the cost of moving that momentarily useless card to the bottom of your deck, for another chance at a better card from draws.
Its really strong in a way, but functionally what is this card going to achieve? At least its 1 mana which means you can do this easily without sacrificing too much tempo, but if this is scary in any way your opponent can easily just ooze it to deny you its dubiously 'great' effect.
And its a weapon, which means you'll be holding this on and not playing another weapon. It has 4 durability though, in case any class needed to build their own weapon, if this is a thing at all.
It has an amusing effect of denying bombs triggering, assuming it works the way I think it does, so there's that, but is that really what you put this card in your deck to do?
So much going against it however, and I will be shocked if it sees tournament-worthy play at all.
This card reminds me a lot of Scry from Magic the Gathering. Very interested in trying this out in a few decks - looks like it just might be insane.
Is this before or after the draw?
Considering you draw before you start your turn
Regis said it in the video, it activates before your draw, you get a "discover" option to either keep the card you would draw or pick a "mystery choice" ie shuffle the one you would draw at the bottom and draw a new one.
before I would think
Tempted to craft this as golden on day 1.
Same. I always look for one golden legendary craft each set, and this is a VERY strong contender.
And no wonder Blizzard "coincidentally" changed the weapons card background this expansion.
It's a very interesting card to help with bad draws but also an interesting downside and yeah, also a pleasant surprise to have a neutral weapon for the first time. Not too bad of an art for a legendary weapon in my opinion.
Try not to shuffle anything into your deck after using this one, since it reshuffles your deck hence likely removes the cards from the bottom.
It doesn't say reshuffle the card in your deck, but put the card on the bottom of the deck
I think it was tested, that after you shuffle something into your deck, your deck is reshuffled.
