The quest requires you to play the overload card as opposed to cast so I think its safe to assume that Perpetual Flame would only trigger it once.
I feel cheated, while Mage & Paladin must play 9 cards in total, Priest & Shaman only has to play 8 cards.
Plus, the reward for Shaman one is so powerful that Mage one feels underrated.
There's only 13 overload cards in standard right now. Obviously you cant just fit all of them into your deck. Maybe on play testing team5 discovered that you just cant finish this one realistically without discovering a few more overload cards throughout the game so they slightly reduce its requirements at the end when its less likely to matter.
Multiply that by 2 cards and you have enough overload cards with nothing separate them like the mage one. (Arcane, Fire, Frost). And you think it's easier for mage to find all three school in one sweep? Nah. My point still stand.
The mage conditions is poorer by far, Im not disputing that. But have a look at the list of overload cards in standard. Its not really easy fitting them all in your deck because they don't all play to the same gameplan. Realistically we're looking at perhaps 6 out of 13 so that makes it 12.
Just speculation of course. I wouldn't know whats in team5's head when they decided to make the conditions 8 cards instead of the 9 for everyone else.
That looks pretty interesting and also relatively easy to complete. And after Bru'kan you could burst your opponent with Damage Spells.
