MARVEL SNAP's Hot Location this weekend is Project Pegasus!

Due to the instant ramp of Project Pegasus, you'll probably want to run a number of higher Cost cards to play on the turn Project Pegasus reveals and that extra 5 Power pops. Whether you choose to run something really heavy like The Infinaut (who can drop with a turn 1 Project Pegasus) or play out multiple cards at once, you should have a plan for when the hot location shows up in your games. If you suspect your opponents will have filled their decks with big boys, you could try running Morph to cheaply copy one of them.

However you choose to plan for the Hot Location, you'd better get used to it; being a Hot Location means that Project Pegasus will have a 60% chance to appear for 24 hours, from 8 PM PT Saturday night to 8 PM PT Sunday night (3 AM UTC Sunday to 3 AM UTC Monday).

Hot Decks for Project Pegasus

We're not just going to give you some vague pointers about what cards you could run at Project Pegasus; how about some actual decks? We've got decks for players still pushing through Pool 1 or players rising up through Pool 2.

Project Dinosaur (Pool 1)

This Pool 1 deck wants to build a bigger Devil Dinosaur with cards that replace themselves with other cards, then dropping Odin to feed the Dino even more cards. Because of the hot location, the Dino can come down pretty early, but if there's no Dino in hand... we have a Hulk.

Locking Down (Pool 1)

This Pool 1 deck is more controlling with their extra Energy, packing a Professor X to lock its opponent out of a location. With powerful Ongoings from Iron Man and Blue Marvel, we're also running Onslaught, who wouldn't be a terrible early play with the Energy from Project Pegasus.

Big Boys (Pool 2)

The Infinaut was made for this moment, and we're going to let them enjoy it. This deck goes so big that it's running Jubilee to bring more big boys to the table, but it's also running Shang-Chi (who, coincidentally, was also made for this moment) to get rid of all those pesky large stats your opponent might have put on the board. Opponent have a Shang-Chi? Well, that's what Armor is for.

Medium Boys (Pool 2)

If you're not sold on the idea of Jubilee, this Pool 2 deck instead goes for something a little spicier: Hobgoblin, which is the perfect present to get your opponent with all that extra Energy. This deck has a few tricks up its sleeves, and can always get a late boost by flipping a location with a well-timed Doctor Strange.

What are Hot Locations in MARVEL SNAP?

There are two different types of location events in MARVEL SNAP.

  • Sunday's Hot Location that have a 60% chance to appear for the next 24 hours.
  • Wednesday's Featured Location that have a 40% chance to appear for the next 48 hours.

Unlike the Featured Location (which is always a new Location), Sunday's Hot Location will pull from the pool of existing Locations. Its increased appearance rate will shake up the meta for a day - for example, Odin was the finisher of choice for many players when Kamar-Taj was the Hot Location.
