Lady Deathwhisper is also one of the diamond cards for the next expansion.

The entire Path of Arthas is included in the March of the Lich King Pre-Purchase Mega Bundle. Once the expansion goes live, the Path of Arthas will also be available for standalone purchase in either normal (2000 Gold or 1500 Runestones) or Golden offerings (money or 7000 Runestones). The Golden version includes Golden copies of all the cards in the Path of Arthas and a bonus Diamond copy of the Lady Deathwhisper Diamond Legendary card.** Path of Arthas cards can’t be opened from packs, they can only be purchased as part of the pre-purchase Mega Bundle, purchased as a standalone purchase, or crafted.
** Lady Deathwhisper Diamond Legendary card will also be available for purchase as a standalone product.
So potentially a 6 mana pyroblast on an empty board and a value card.
Pretty underwhelming legendary honestly.
Lady Deathwhisper is just good since nearly all the frost spells are good. But it does feature a problem in that you need to save up on certain spells until you draw this card to gain value. Depending on how well frost DK can generate or draw spells, this can be either very powerful or just a tech against control decks.
Marrow Manipulator is just a casual Pyroblast to the face because frost DK is basically racing to see how much more overpowered they can get. The only problem being the corpse requirement, but when the pay off is good people will find a way to meet it. Its like Avenging Wrath for comparison, but not only better you also somehow get an additional 5/5 stats - might as well roll over now, Uther. First Remorseless Winter and now this? Can we see a power creeping of Tirion Fordring at some point?
Marrow maniupulator needs 5corpes though And a empty board if wanna do full 10dmg to face, and from what weve seen (so ,far) frost doesnt have that many ways to generate corpes.
And its a 3frost rune card, so cant run unholy stuff to easly get the corpes for it.
Ive seen poor cards being played before just to satisfy requirements for better cards. If you said to me that I need 5 things to die just so I can play a better avenging wrath with a 5/5 body I'd absolutely do it.
I dont see frost generating a ton of corpses, but that's not to say they can't do it. Rime Sculptor is 5 mana and adds three corpses which is the perfect follow up to Marrow Manipulator on 6. Thassarian at 4 adds another two more. Body Bagger at 1 adds two. And is there really a lot of cards that use up corpses from a hypothetical frost DK deck so far? Not really many if Im honest. So there is a world where you might be able to consistently activate marrow manipulator on 6.
I think there's potential for some pretty crazy swing turns featuring the new Flamewaker knock-off. Because your opponent will want to remove Deathchiller with extreme prejudice, you're incentivized to stock up some frost spells for your burst turns. If that's already your gameplan, Deathwhisper amplifies it.
Not sure where this is covered, but can anyone explain the "spend up to X corpses" mechanic? Specifically, does it just spend them all if you have them, or do you get to choose how many you spend?
You spend as many as possible, you don’t get to choose anything
It will spend as many as it can: you have no say in the matter, outside of manipulating your Corpse total via other cards.
These seem like decent to good cards, but i'm not certain if it will be worth running full frost-DK. Really depends on the 1 rune cost Unholy/Blood rune cards. But if those 1 cost blood/unholy rune cards will anywhere near as good as the 1 cost frost cards, then it will be quite difficult to choose between the full frost package or 2x frost + 1 unholy or blood rune.
Personally I’m not sure what 2+ frost rune’s win condition looks like without the 3 rune stuff right now so I think it’d take something ridiculous to give this up
And finally the big payoffs for pure frost, and they both look pretty impressive
Lady deathwisper -
A war master voone for frost spells something that unlike dragons are cards you can easily leverage a large number of. Looks to be an incredibly powerful way of generating alot of resources and just incentivizing pure frost in general
Marrow manipulator -
A powerful way to leverage corpses in a deck that appeared to have been lacking compelling ways to do so, might not make the cut though unless there is a really nice means of generating corpses introduced though as you probably care more about having the corpses for defrost, even so since there isn’t anything else you care about there might be just enough minions for it to work out.
