MARVEL SNAP's new community event, Hero Hype, is ongoing and players are pumping up the jam to get closer and closer to earning rewards. You get one Record for each Cube you win, but you double that take by including one of the week's featured cards; in this case, that's Sandman and Spider-Man.

If you're looking for decks to play that can boost your event contribution for this week, then we've got some options to help you do just that.

Decks for Sandman

Sandman Card ImageOngoing: Players can only play 1 card a turn.

Sandman is a useful disruptor against decks that run Sera or Death, denying them the ability to spend the last turn playing multiple cards across the board to swing the game. Since he's available in Series 2, Sandman is a good budget option if you want to boost the Hype but you haven't climbed very high on the Collection Ladder.

Our first deck is made up entirely of cards you will have if you've completed Series 2 (474 Collection Level). It's a Zoo deck that buffs its cards with Ka-Zar, Blue Marvel, and Spectrum, and Sandman keeps the opponent from doing too much on the final few turns.

As long as a card has an Ongoing effect (like Sandman does) it'll be worth a look in Ongoing Destroyer, the deck that plays a lot of Ongoing cards to a location, then uses Destroyer to win another location; but if you don't draw Destroyer, Spectrum works, too.

This Hela deck uses Sandman a little unfairly: thanks to Hela, we get to summon multiple bodies on the final turn (as long as we've discarded our big cards Magneto and The Infinaut) while our opponent is stuck playing just the one card.

Decks for Spider-Man

Spider-Man Card ImageOn Reveal: Your opponent can’t play cards at this location next turn.

Disruption is the name of the game this week, as Spider-Man is just as good at limiting your opponent's options by webbing up a lane and forcing them to play into the other two. As it turns out, there's a lot of different decks that can use a guy like that.

The 3 Power of Spider-Man (ignore the picture) means he works well in a Cerebro deck that almost exclusively runs cards that have 3 Power. It's a disruptive tour-de-force, denying locations with Spider-Man and Juggernaut, shutting down Reveals with Cosmo, and picking off our opponent's stuff with Killmonger and Shang-Chi.

This deny-heavy Silver Surfer deck controls where its opponent can and can't play with just about every one of its cards, then buffs all its annoying 3-Drops with the Surfer to swing the game firmly in its favor.

No deck is more punishing for the unprepared than Galactus, who can easily win the game if his opponent doesn't have the right counterplays. Spider-Man is very good at keeping the opponent out of the wrong places, and can deny a final turn play to the remaining location if Galactus found a way to cheat himself out before turn 5.
