We've got a new featured location in MARVEL SNAP and it's Asteroid M!
Asteroid M is a completely new location being added to MARVEL SNAP as part of the March Season: Days of Future Past. After you play a 3- or 4-Cost card to another location, it moves to Asteroid M.
Asteroid M could be really cool for decks that run 3- and 4-Cost cards that like being moved, Vulture, for instance. You could also cheese the system by playing a Hulk Buster onto Multiple Man - the Buster will merge with the Man, then the man-machine hybrid will move to Asteroid M.
However you choose to plan for the featured location, you'd better get used to it; being a featured location means that Asteroid M will have a 50% chance to appear for 24 hours, from 8 PM PT Tuesday night to 8 PM PT Wednesday night (2 AM UTC Wednesday to 2 AM UTC Thursday).
What Are Featured Locations in MARVEL SNAP?
There are two different types of location events in MARVEL SNAP, both of which have a 50% chance of appearing for the next 24 hours.
- Sunday's Hot Location that always pulls from existing locations.
- Wednesday's Featured Location that usually shows off new locations, but will pull from the pool of existing locations from time to time.
This helps pave way for new deckbuilding strategies as you may want to be playing something else should the bonus better benefit cards you aren't playing with. We've seen this previously with the featured location, Monster Island, whose boosted appearances meant many players ran Shang-Chi to destroy the 9 Power Monster.
Hot Decks for Asteroid M
If you're looking for ideas of what decks you can play to the Featured Location, we've got you covered: with recommended decks for players just starting out in Series 1, players still moving up through Series 2, and players who are starting to fill their collections with cards from Series 3, 4, and 5.
Series 1 Kraven Zoo
This budget deck runs a couple of Movement synergy cards (most notably Kraven) to benefit from the free Movement of Asteroid M. You can play Ka-Zar to a location with Angela to give her a boost, then watch him move to the Asteroid and buff Kraven as well.
Series 2 Movement
We're going all-in on Movement, baby! In Series 2, players gain access to probably the most important card for this location: Vulture. With Asteroid M in play, you can pay 3 Energy for an 8 Power body. Hulk Buster attaching to Multiple Man or anything else is another free source of Movement.
Series 3 Surfer Move
With our transition to Series 3, we get Miles Morales, who's going to become a reliably cheap source of 5 Power, what with all this moving going on. This Silver Surfer deck is very likely going to fill up the featured location before too long, so make sure you don't neglect the other two.
Series 3 Spider Move
This movement list adds in Human Torch to combine with Hulk Buster as another way to get a lot of Power on a card when it moves to Asteroid M. If you play your cards right (which you should do, this being a card game and all), you can make a very big Human Torch and friends.
Series 3 Vulture Miles
We're still sold on the power of both Vulture and Miles Morales with Asteroid M, so we foudn one more deck that uses them to their full potential. This Sera control deck is built to annoy the opponent while staying under the 9 Power threshold that would bring out the opponent's Shang-Chi.

Hulk Buster only moves if whatever it attached to is 3-4 energy itself... so you can cheese it only with Vulture pretty much
Hulk Buster won't move cards that don't cost 3 or 4 to Asteroid M, unfortunately.
