On September 19, Nintendo finally filed a lawsuit against Pocketpair, the developer behind Palworld, a game dubbed by its community 'Pokemon with guns'.
Many speculated in the past months that because Nintendo did not file a lawsuit for such a long time, there were no grounds for it. Maybe they took this long because they couldn't find anything which would hold in court? Or maybe there was nothing to contest originally, but later updates introduced a tangible claim? Only time will tell once the proceedings are done.

This lawsuit seeks an injunction against infringement and compensation for damages on the grounds that Palworld, a game developed and released by the Defendant, infringes multiple patent rights.
