Pokemon with guns as we called it when Palworld was first announced has been going strong since its release last year and with that strength comes another major update. Teased just a few days ago, the "late March" update brings in a much-requested feature, crossplay! No matter where you're playing Palworld, now you can enjoy the game with all of your friends on PC, Mac, PlayStation, and Xbox.
Crossplay isn't the only major addition to the game though in this week's update. We also have the addition of a brand new guild storage system "Dimensional Pal Storage" which allows you do share Pals with your guild members. The new storage option features 10 times the capacity of a regular Palbox, so gone are the problems of not having enough storage for all your Pals and it being a pain to give a Pal to someone else easily. I see this being an especially important perk in a tight-knit game with friends, now everyone can just put their pals in the new box and everyone can benefit without anyone worrying about them being "stolen".
The Dimensional Pal Storage unlocks at level 21 and requires you to spend 2 Ancient Technology Points in order to unlock it. This has 320 pages of pals, with 30 pals per page, for a total of 9600 pals stored.
We've also got a new Antique Dresser which allows you to change the armor you're wearing from a cosmetic point of view. If you really liked the older gear, or you just really want to wear a Pal-inspired hat all the time, now you can without giving up the attributes of higher-end gear. This is great because now we won't all look the same in the end-game, which was a small problem but honestly, it's 2025, every game should have cosmetic armor options to override the default armor. Thanks Pocket Pair! The dresser also allows you to change the design of your character. Head, Body, and Glider can all be changed.
The Antique Dresser requires level 22 and 1 Ancient Technology point to unlock.
A Drafting Table now allows you to combine lower-tier blueprints to upgrade them into higher-tiers. We've also got a, maybe the most important update of them all, new feature which allows you to build structures even if they are currently overlapping with a Pal. They weren't nice enough to move, well now they're being forced to! Unlike the previous additions, the Drafting Table requires hitting level 45, so its a much later-game addition.
The full update notes for Palworld 0.5.0 can be found below, which also includes a note about the new Global Palbox system which allows Pals to transfer across worlds. Check out all the new details below and see you all in-game!
