Riot Games Unveils Convergence Fest, Uniting TFT Vegas Open and Riftbound Championship in Las Vegas This December

Riot Games has announced Convergence Fest, a brand-new multi-day live event that pulls two of its competitive communities together under one roof for the very first time. According to Riot's announcement, the festival combines the Teamfight Tactics (TFT) Vegas Open and the Riftbound North American Regional Championship, and it lands in Las Vegas on December 11-13, 2026.

Riot is calling this its largest combined live event to date, and honestly, we can see why. Rather than running these two scenes separately, the studio is throwing open the doors to let fans of both games wander freely between casual and competitive programming all weekend long.

What is Convergence Fest?

At its core, Convergence Fest is about bringing the TFT and Riftbound communities together in Las Vegas for a full weekend of competition, community, and celebration. The two headline tournaments run simultaneously across the weekend, so there's no forcing yourself to pick a side.

  • TFT Vegas Open: A major Teamfight Tactics open-bracket esports tournament that marks the format's return to the United States after three years away, bringing top competitive TFT players to Las Vegas for live, in-person play.

  • Riftbound North American Regional Championship: The top tier of Riftbound Organized Play in North America, where players who placed in the top 64 at Regional Qualifiers compete for the Regional Championship title and a path toward the Riftbound World Championship.

Riot notes that additional details on tournament format and participation will be announced soon, so keep an eye out if you're planning to compete.

What else is happening at the event?

The three-day schedule is packed with plenty to do beyond the main-stage action. Riot has lined up a mix of programming for both games:

  • Artist Alley

  • Side events

  • A prize wall

  • Game shows

  • Developer panels

  • Showmatches

  • Cosplay

  • Meet-and-greets

  • Event-exclusive merchandise

Attendees can move freely between the casual and competitive programming across both games throughout the weekend, which is exactly the kind of flexibility we love to see at a festival like this.

What do tickets get you?

Riot has laid out a few ticket tiers and add-ons for anyone looking to attend in person:

  • Attendee Pass (3-Day): Includes a commemorative Convergence Fest Riftbound card, plus all official and co-streamer in-game drops for Teamfight Tactics.

  • General Admission+ Bundle: All Attendee Pass perks, plus one hour of early entry, a dedicated merch line, a custom festival crossbody bag, a Special Edition Teemo Hat, a Convergence Fest water bottle, and a Convergence Fest holiday ornament.

  • Post Finals Celebration: A party at the Convergence Fest closing celebration, hosted by DJ Sona.

When can you buy tickets?

Fan First registration is open now at convergencefest.riotgames.com. From there, ticket sales begin in August through rolling purchase windows, with general sales opening later in September.

A quick refresher on the games

Riftbound: The League of Legends Trading Card Game is Riot's physical trading card game, bringing the lore and iconic champions of Runeterra into a strategic, competitive format. It's designed for TCG players of all familiarity levels, blending approachable mechanics with deck-building complexity, and it's supported by a global Organized Play ecosystem that runs from weekly local store events all the way up to Regional Qualifiers and championship-level competition.

Teamfight Tactics, meanwhile, is the free-for-all PC and mobile strategy game where eight players combine League of Legends champions and items in different formations to outlast the seven others in a match. Since launching in 2019, TFT has grown into a leading name in the auto battler and PC strategy genres, with a franchise that includes TFT, TFT Mobile, Golden Spatula (Southeast Asia), and Fight For The Golden Spatula (China).
