Riot Games is taking us all the way back: League Classic, a new mode that lets you relive the early days of League of Legends, has arrived. Choose your champion, from an older roster, find your team, and fight to take down the enemy Nexus, all with the game's original champions, items, and metas.
If you've ever wanted to experience the 5v5 MOBA that defined the genre as close to as it was in its iconic early era, this is your chance and personally, I can say that it feels really good.
What is League Classic?
It's a wonderful trip down memory lane. League Classic recreates the early days of League of Legends, letting us back into the original Summoner's Rift with the champions, items, and metas that defined League's formative years. That also includes the original Runes and Masteries and thankfully, they aren't as difficult to acquire, though you will need to play a handful of games before its all unlocked.

Also, don't forget Gold per 5 Items!

And as many wards as y'all can afford. As a player of League who mained support for years, wards were one of the easiest ways to set yourself apart from other players.
This gem from 2012... yup that's me. #1 Soraka (self proclaimed).
How do I get ready to jump in?
Before you head back to the Rift, you may need to update your account details, so it's worth getting your Riot Account sorted ahead of launch. Can't remember your username or password? Riot's Sign-In Help page to get everything fixed up.
Riot has also had account and player-experience systems in the spotlight lately. If you missed it, check out our coverage on how Riot's parental controls have been tripping up some League players.
