A few updates have gone out over the weekend and today, here's the latest patch notes for Out of Games.

Arcade

• Now introducing the Out of Games Arcade, a place to play games on Out of Games!

• Currently, our Wordle-style games are available here for play, but more cool games are coming in the future.

  • Note that these are still on our activities page, but we will be promoting them through the Arcade more.

General

• Notifications

  • Changed how we deliver notifications on the website to be more optimized.

  • You can now customize your notification preferences in your account management.

  • Email notifications are available, turn them on if you so desire!

  • Browser notifications are now available.

    • If you are using iOS and using a browser, this will not work. Thanks Apple! Instead, you have to install Out of Games as a "Progressive Web App". We've added a mention of this on the notifications panel for users on iOS.

    • To add Out of Games to your Home Screen, you need to "Add to Home Screen" which can be found in the "Share" menu of your favourite browser.

• Comments

  • You can now like comments! Again, technically.

    • Previously we allowed upvoting and dowvoting comments.

    • When we did the site redesign, we removed voting on comments entirely.

    • Now it is back as a positive-first like feature instead. I don't know if we will always keep it as likes, some people sometimes do deserve to be downvoted, but for now we test positivity over negativity for commenting.

  • We once again show the number of comments left on news articles on the homepage article cards.

• Editor

  • Tables are easier to insert and adjust, with new editor-specific styles.

    • You can now use the @ symbol to mention a user and give them a notification. Sup @Nirast @sinti @Demonxz95 @FrostyFeet @Noxious

• RPG

  • Banned users should no longer appear on leaderboards.

• Backend

  • Several updates to the big parts of code that run the website to gain some performance enhancements.

• Dle Games

  • Added link icons beside the names of picked objects so you can go visit them in the database.

  • Fixed the guess number being ordered incorrectly.

  • Updated the display that gives you the game results when it is over.

Hearthstone

• Hearthdle

  • WILD: Fixed an issue where core set cards were included that were from older sets.

    • We only want to show you the oldest version of a card for the wild format. It doesn't make sense to show you Chillmaw twice! Thanks to Nirast for making me realize we did need to keep the Legacy set.
