How To Build Consistent Meta Counters

By now I think everyone is pretty sick of me rolling over the LOR community.with my S tier aggro deck in eternal.

So the question remains how do you build a consistent ladder counter.

Well nifty has you covered because I spent most of my time in LOR being anti-meta before I became the new.meta.

 Step 1 counter the deck you want consistently, this one is obvious

Step 2 be able to actually win against every other deck, because unless the play rate is literally 20% you will still face other players the majority of the time

Step 3 don't jank, it might seek funny to play duplicate crystal with kittans to counter aggro but what happens when you wiff?

Follow these 3 steps and you will defeat meta Nifty just as easily as Nifty used to defeat the meta.

And also I'm sorry like Swim I never wanted my decks to be as good as they are.

They are just good...and they've only gotten better with time

  • I feel like maybe we need to make this even simpler. Like how to build a champion in eternal. It would take me too long to go through all of them but let's do a few case studies:

    1. Viktor - so Viktor is  a lot more than a high roll body which is how everyone plays him. Come on baby life steal plus elusive no whammy no whammy.

    People tend to forget that viktor has a massive number of synergy points and useful wincons.

    You could try to atrocity viktor, you could try to run his support pkg, you could try to forcibly give him a keywords, you could a million things other than, play viktor...do nothing...cross fingers

    Akshan - often considered one of the best designed champions in lor he's essentially been relegated to a glave strike stick. But he's also a landmark card, or a draw engine or a million things other than a 2 mana quick attackers for weapon equip

    Asol - my bread and butter often considered one of the worst Champs in the game but has a unique combo level up that pairs well with ramp.

    Poppy - has an entire tribe built around her for God sakes in yordles

    Tahm kench - while yes you can run otk landmark in a heal shell and I do do that, Mogwai popularized Aram Tahm.

    Tf - goes in absolutely everything

    Like the point is I see soo many people fall in the trap of, hard mulligan for 1 drop, ping ping ping, then win game?

    Like no unless you are literally aggro don't mull for a 1 drop, hell don't even run 1 drops, mull for answers and then wincons.

    Learn to build, learn to leverage the strengths of champions, and then learn to counter, in that order.

    Then maybe you can get good at the game.

  • Yeah you have no idea how to do it do you?

    If you can't just jam board in your control deck you can't win?

    But what happens when the aggro decks become so powerful they outstrip board presence?

    It's called spells, one avalanche, one face smash, one anything that isn't just 1 drop ping ping ping.

    You see it isnt that eternal isn't a competitive format, it's highly competitive.

    It's just that your style of competitive play has no place in eternal.

    Learn, grow, evolve.

  • I built the most aggressive deck in LOR history and you want to lurk into me?

    Get wrecked play something you built yourself

    Why do you think I run six pings? 

    It's called interaction even in aggro my decks can do something about 5 iq plays

    And you know what funny this **** isn't even optimized yet, once historic ladder comes out and pro players steal my deck without crediting me they will swap like 2 ratios and be like S tier thanks for all the credit.

    But no this time historic aggro is pretty Nifty

  • You still don't get it do you?

    You cant just stun and attack with Zed, you have no burn therefore you have no wincon

    Any half smart player will just face tank and roll you.

    Plz if you don't know how to play or build I will teach you

  • Nope I told you, you can't just run p and z garbage with ping spam.

    I swap once and youre done.

    You have to build an actual deck

    You know with cards and a strategy that is flexible into other matchups

    Wincons etc
