What is Warcraft Rumble's Squad Trait? Available Minis & Synergies

Updated 2 years, 4 months ago by

Need help figuring out your Cycle units from your Siege units, and everything in-between? Then look no further! With this series of Warcraft Rumble guides, we'll provide an overview of the various minis that have the desired trait, as well any potential synergies such a trait may be looking to take advantage of.

In this guide, we'll be talking about the Squad trait.

What is Squad?

Minis with Squad consist of multiple smaller individuals that are summoned all at once. They might be bunched together, but they have separate Health totals and still move and attack independently.

Synergies & Strategies with Squad

Squad minis are great for overwhelming enemies who cannot defend themselves with Area of Effect abilities or fast attack speeds. The Squad will move in and attack their target as a group, applying damage at two, three, maybe even four or more times the rate of the enemy mini who has to swing at them one at a time. This is especially effective at applying status effects, such as Poison. The Spiderlings Beast mini, or their fellow Beast troop, the Harpies (with a Talent), are good examples of this in action. Poison stacks with each application, so why not have two or three smaller units all applying Poison at the same time? At time of writing, the Harpies are one of the most powerful minis for this very reason, absolutely shredding Tanks and bosses if given the chance.

Unfortunately, Squad minis will be decimated by Area of Effect attacks like the Huntress, or Hogger swinging his ham. With multiple things to hit all at the same time, and given their smaller overall Health totals, this is problematic for their survival. Harpies may inflict high damage, but all three can die to a single blast of the Pyromancer.
