From my flinging experience I am pretty sure that the ooze resets more than once a day, like maybe after a couple of hours. The problem is that it looks like it counts from the last time either you threw to your recipient or your recipient threw to you. So sometimes when it has been hours and I got 10 ectoplasm from throwing to most users, seemingly randomly I would get only 5. My assumption is that the recipients I got 5 from threw ooze at me recently.
I just tested throwing ooze for a second time today a few hours after the first time, and about 80% of the time I got 10 ectoplasm, the other times 5.
I will say this: doing the whole clicking thing can be really fun if you know how to cheer yourself on. Then it's also super fast. So that's a cool thing.
But if I'm not feeling it, there's no use in doing it because then I'll be slow as a snail, and nothing will get done that way. So I'm not pushing myself.
When I DO go and do some clicking, I usually thaught of that tasty Mythril Amulet and and Rings that each have +18 Max Energy and +18% Energy Recovery :D :D it's a yeti, I know. But maybe I can get relatively close to this ideal! Time will tell. I'm not even sure both of these stats can occur in 1 and the same item, but I don't see why they wouldn't:)
I'm nowhere near to taking off, don't worry. I got like 4 this way so far, but I wasted 1 on a Mythril Sword. Only after crafting I noticed that my Frozen Runeblade has such high damage that any Mythril Sword will have a hard time topping it. Oh well.. many learnings are to be had in SQ, that's for sure. Mine was to not just assume that an item will be better just because it's 15 levels higher and uses a very costly Ooze Core :'D
I understand the connection to Spooky Season; aka Halloween, but it would be nice if Steam repeated other Fests more frequently like they do the survival-horror one. You're lucky to see an individual game be discounted by a corresponding Fest once everyone two- maybe three years? Not including the actual main sales, I mean. But horror gets an event every October :/

Iv been trying to get some ectoplasm so i can get ooze cores to be able to craft more stuff. I am offering extras just for the core and that doesnt seem to be enticing for others, so selling mats ppl still want for ectoplasm seems to be the only way to get more cores :o
