Just too good, Khadgar and Conjurer's Calling synergy.
By The Holy Light!
it's all fun and games until she summons herself twice.
Yeah this looks almomst absurdly strong. Granted, one of your spawns will die to pings, but since it's a secret you can more often than not rely on your opponent just guessing wrong.
Not even sure if this can be considered fair at all. I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up being nerfed at some point.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
This seems pretty acceptable as a 1-card board dump. The 'illusion' effect is tricky to evaluate, but it will probably be fairly easy to guess as the opponent.
Not sure if this becomes a common pick for odd rogue, but it definitely can be used there as a finisher.
Not sure about this in mage. It's not great in secret mage and no slower mage decks want a card like this.
This post is discussing the wild format.
This can be a game winning or at the very least board winning card.

EU Legend: S52 (ZooHeal Lock); S76 (Highlander Hunter);
Just checked some the 5-cots minions in Standard. There are a lot of them and I checked just the first page. So you can get an Al'ar out of it, but also a Chromatic Egg or a Desert Obelisk. Many of them have Battlecries.
Random effect, one minion dies to anything, the other is paired with a 2/1.
Basically just a slightly better Former Champ in my opinion. Yes, the effect is still summoning two 5 drops at 5, but since its still an rng effect to get a taunt or a rush minion, and both classes can't heal, its still a major risk playing this card since its basically a 5 drop do nothing most of the time.
Faceless Corruptor's just more consistent in rogue, and in mage, well, I'm not sure. Its rare for mage to be able to play any minion on an empty board, so this in my opinion is not really that good on either class.
Oooff, another bad card for evolve mechanics, and there's only 8 good deathrattle cards (that have been revealed) that might be spawned.
I'm not liking this legendary. Difficult to find a place for it in any archetype unless it just fits in all? Doubt it
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
Can't wait to get this from The Fist of Ra-den
I think this will be powerful the same way secrets in wild are powerful, not so much for what it can do on it's own for board presence, but because of the uncertainty it can create in your opponent. Depending on the situation, they may have to make a risky gamble that doesn't pay off for them, or even hold back a move to buy time for a more certain spending of resources.
Official Lorekeeper and Spinner of Tavern Tales
Doesn’t look that great to me, but it could be decent. After all, you’d have to spend some resource popping the summoned minion, and 5 mana minions are right about the spot where minions can start to get kind of threatening to leave on the board
Who needs consistency when you could have fun?
I would have prefer lower stats on the summons and a "good effect" on the minion that doesn't die to any damage. Regardless, I like fun cards and this seems fun.
Also, this with shadowstep looks naughty.
In Rogue there's a clear synergy with Bamboozle, but it's hard to imagine anything about that play would be secret - if your opponent sees you have a secret up, they'll assume Bamboozle, and depending on what 5-drops you get, may very easily determine which is the one that dies instantly (e.g. you're probably not going to make Earth Elemental the vulnerable one). So, it may be too easy to play around this even with support.
In Mage the case for this seems harder to make. There's no synergy with Spells Only Mages, where minion generation is particularly valuable, and currently there are no secrets like Duplicate and Splitting Image which would better support this the way Bamboozle does in Rogue.
All that said, I don't think this is a bad card. Obviously it's very vulnerable to any cheap AOE, but if result is that your opponent spends a card and you're left with a random 5-drop (albeit injured), that's a decent trade. And if your opponent doesn't have any AOE, they may be stuck attacking into what is admittedly a lot of tempo for the price, potentially making bad trades as they go to test for "instant death." And in cases where you get a particularly good deathrattle (e.g. Convincing Infiltrator, Waxadred, Totem Goliath, or Scrap Golem, etc.), the "instant death" downside may be easily mitigated.
Looks decent ... good synergy for Bamboozle. Mage could work with Conjurer's Calling. Still nice to get 5 Drops even if one of them can die easily.
Challenge me ... when you're ready to duel a god!
I really don't know about this card. On one hand, it just makes random stuff. On the other hand, it can make a lot of stats. Somebody mentioned pairing this with Khadgar or Conjurer's Calling to get a bunch of extra stats, aside from that though I don't see where you would use this card.
Carrion, my wayward grub.
So this is where jandice come. Spicy and flavorful effect, but on reality i feel that this is not that powerful, maybe wrong. But its good to have bad stats on a 5 mana slot for evolve and devolve shenanigans.
I count it as another pointless, meme legendary, that you would never craft. It looks to me like it wouldn't naturally fit in any archetype of either class, even highlander, since it is just a weak, inconsistent boardfill. If you have to think of specific scenarios and conditions where this would really shine, it's most likely not good enough.
And what exactly about this legendary's effect is of Rogue theme? Secret part (which, randomly only Druid had until now)? Summoning looks so opposite of what a rogue should do.
EDIT: AngryShuckie explained it's because of illusions she creates in WoW, now I like it a bit better. This is why I don't like discussion being separated, but I know why it's done.
For me, this is just a third bad legendary for Rogue this expansion, while dh continues op cards streak. In Wild, rogue is almost non-existent, any kind of control remains meme, and they don't print aggro cards for the class anymore. Very disapppointed. :(
For mage: This has some really good synergy with Conjurer's Calling and Khadgar.
For Rogue: Clearly has a lot of synergy with Bamboozle, as it will pretty much give you a "free" 8 drop.
For both classes: There are some deathrattle minions 5 mana, like Al'ar, Abomination and Recurring Villain that you can get from this. In wild you can highroll into Rotten Applebaum, [Hearthstone Card (Anubiseth Sentinel) Not Found], Feugen, [Hearthstone Card (Stallag) Not Found], Sludge Belcher and Skelemancer. So that's pretty good as well. (Note and you can of course highroll into Zilliax as well) This card is very RNG dependant.
Also the "negative effect" isn't as bad as you make your opponent use clears/removal to find out which minion dies after taking damage, and you can always pick the worst minion to get this effect. Also around the mid-late game (turn 5+) your opponent will generally have big clears that woud deal with a big board anyway, so if a minion would take damage around this part of the game, it would have most likely died anyway.
Mage will use Jandice Barov mainly in highlander decks, maybe some new version of Conjurer's Calling mage, and because it's super random it will certainly, without a doubt be used in WILD Casino/random mage.
Rogue will Jandice Barov in secret rogue to abuse the Bamboozle synergy, and in tempo rogue because Jandice Barov can give quite a tempo swing.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
Another fine addition to my Casino Mage deck. Otherwise, I'm pretty optimistic about this card. Worst case scenario you're getting a random 5-drop with with +2/+1. The pick secretly aspect will almost never be relevant, but the amount of stats spread across many bodies is likely good enough to make it see play. It won't be deck-defining or meta-breaking, but it will be a strong inclusion in a number of tempo-based decks.
Hey guys I love you and out of cards web. So many positive comments in here. Not like at hearthpwn or hearthstone top decks, there are only weepers :(. It is pity that I did not find out of cards earlier. Thumbs up for all
The effect is flashy, although it seems a bit... strange? You're essentially not running a 5-drop in your deck, and instead getting a random one with a 2/1 body added, and the possibility of fooling your opponent (although like Fatespinner, the choice will be obvious in a majority of cases).
It does theoretically have synergy with Conjurer's Calling or Bamboozle, although I feel like if you wanted a 5-drop in your deck, you'd just put that card in your deck instead.
I like the effect! Cool, creative and really fitting flavorwise for both rogue/mage. Randomness = inconsistency, but definitely playable.
What a strange and interesting Legendary for Rogue and Mage.
Clearly the main focus on this minion is that she summons 2 5 mana minions on your side of the field, even though you have to pick one that dies in one hit. At this time the 5 drop minions are not TERRIBLY strong stat wise or effect wise, the best ones you could get from Jandice would be either have good stats for cost (Venture Co Mercenary), Taunt (Scrap Golem), a strong effect at the end of your turn (Ras FrostWhisper), Rush (Doctor Krastinov) or deathrattle (Convincing Infiltrator). However since the minions she summons are random you'll most likely end up with Fen Creeper and Chromatic Egg
However both Mage and Rogue have ways to benefit from these generated minions -
Mage in RoS saw Khadgar and Conjurer's Calling with a lot of constructed play until Mountain Giants was placed in the HOF last year. Both cards can help either double the minions that Jandice creates or allows you to essentially "re-roll" on a particularly terrible 5 drop into hopefully something better.
Rogue in AoO received the secret Bamboozle, which makes a minion that is being attacked change into one that costs (2) more, so these would become a 7 mana minion. As we've seen in AoS however there has been a fair number of spell based removal that can ignore the secret if played, but many classes are still using minions for removal, so we'll have to see.
Disappointing! After 2 dual class reveals, I get the feeling that the design team is having a tough time with Rogue/Mage. Both cards seem very 'safe'. Wand Thief is not going to be meta-breaking. The randomness of Jandice Barov is going to keep this card at bay as well, and the design team knows this. While the effect is unique, I would hardly call it legendary.
Very unique card, I can see it being put in Highlander Mage but not as a stand-out card
This just doesn't look that good to me. Sure, you might get a pile of stats sometimes, but those 5-drops are RANDOM, and one of them dies easy? I don't know.
"Be excellent to each other." -Bill and Ted
My first impression is this a good evolve target for shaman.
Boggspine Knuckles the turn before. Then drop this the following turn.
If the spawned targets aren't good, then swing. Otherwise hold off.
Another option is to Mutate the "illusion" minion to remove the downside.
Also has some synergy with Corrupt the Waters. 5 5-mana minions for the cost of 2 cards seems potent.
EDIT: Eh, misread. Thought the other half was Shaman.
I have a hard time seeing this is rogue. Only positive I see so far is you can Shadowstep the "illusion" minion to get more value.
Too random for a small reward. There's some great synergy in Khadgar and CC, but I doubt it will work (fun deck at the very least).
Considering the most recent effort from Team 5 to stop infinite generating combo/cycle, I do hope that they thought about and prevented the possibility of summoning herself, like Dragonqueen Alex was prior to nerf
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
Super cool card and i love the fact that this enable so many mind trick. For 5 mana this is a 7/6 on average plus an enemy interaction. I hope to see more card like this; clapt to develpers
Good... just good
Math isn't very good in this one. Lots of bad 5 drops, also many with Battlecries (won't trigger, as usual), and one of them dies to ping, usually you will put it on the weaker one. Attaching everything to 2/1 body won't help that much, unless you can keep making copies of it in hand with some Rogue shenaningans.
Trash for laddering, but may be fun!
Lemushki - The one and only since the 2006 rebranding.
Fun, interesting and has an amazing flavor to it.
Why not make this a legendary spell? Having a 5 Mana 2-1 minion just send pointless.
RNG is always good for my opponet, not me!
"My winged children fill the skies."
"A hundred kings will rise again!"
"Who knows what secrets we'll uncover?"
"The stars align!"
"The stars align!"
unless you get AOE'd the 1 damage is not always really easy to do.. I think it's a great tempo card and a skill testing for both sides.
Like Chaos Gazer would say: "choice is an illusion"
How good is average 5 cost?
-=alfi=-
This is a good card. But sometimes, it will summon copies of itself. Only a matter of time.
I hope I don't get this card from packs. :/
Most 5-cost minions are (almost) full stated, and the vast majority has battlecries, only a few have deathrattles. So this mostly summons 10/6 in stats- great for both classes! There's also Spirit of the Shark in wild.
Middle of the road on this one, will need to see how the meta pans out but it could just be too weak.
Free 5 cost units, it probably won't be hard to guess which one dies from any dmg but if you can pull rush/charge minions from it then you are set
All hail the banshee queen.
I'm all for something that nerfs Shaman's Evolve mechanic.
On its own I find it hard to evaluate. I mean, it is 5 mana for three bodies, that can't be terrible.
I don't think this card is going to be great, but the "free" 10-mana in stats is probably going to disagree with me.
This is definitely a card I look forward to testing with Khadgar in some kind of summoning mage, but I don't know where else this fits in besides Highlander lists.
One of the worst legendaries in the set imo. The 5 drop pool isn't great, and the fact one can be removed with a ping just makes it worse.
One of the coolest golden legendaries of this set, for sure. :D
Thanks to denial, I'm immortal.
Jandice Barov lends herself well to a tempo strategy. If you've been putting some pressure on your opponent in the early turns (1-4), then Jandice becomes a problem for them due to the shear amount of stats across 3 bodies. Sure, one of them easily dies, but you have some control over that, either choosing the weaker body or maybe a deathrattle minion. Overall, it's not going to be very often that your opponent can deal with all of the stats on turn 5, making Jandice a great play to continue pressure in a tempo deck. I see this more as a Rogue card than a Mage card as Rogue has a more defined tempo strategy going into Scholomance than Mage.
For glory, honor, and gold!
Has highroll potential if you manage to get 2 deathrattles, even if one dies with a hit
This card gets 5 stars from me for the call back to the WoW boss encounter, and it earns that 5 stars for having a unique effect that could be very good if you get the right minions.
I feel like more than likely you'll get one good minion and one shit minion, and you'll likely make the obvious choice to make the shit minion the fragile one.
Quick! Someone give me something clever to write here.
2 high yield Deathrattles, one big, one small. Apply to more killable minion.
I've seen her in some early access videos and been unimpressed.
Amazing flavour, and potential for some Deathrattle craziness!
Mage doesn't want this, Rogue doesn't want this... maybe if you could Discover the minions summoned too, but as is you're too likely to get trash options.
