Very strong if you can build around it, but I'm not sure how possible that is.
There are not a great many 5 mana beasts that this will be a great target for, especially when you cannot run other beasts.
This post is discussing the wild format.
Meh ... i think this is not only to slow but also to inconsistent. Most beasts you run in hunter right now have rush already - some beasts like the Prime after Deathrattle you do not want to pull out of the deck because of it's battlecry.
Could work if there will be some sort of new beast Hunter but i guess it is still to slow!
For Druid ... could work because of the Ramp but only if some sort of Beast Druid will emerge in the meta!
So far not a good card.
Challenge me ... when you're ready to duel a god!
I can't see this working..
I don't think Hunter can build a midrange deck without including some smaller beasts
Druid could, but it would have to be something like Embiggen, which ruins the synergy with this.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
Too slow.
As I was beginning to read the card I was think 5 or more, 5 or more, but then it was 5 or less. Maybe druid can cheat it out early for tempo, but hunter has Brann on t7 which is a finisher.

Blizzard is desperately trying to give Jungle Giants some support. This just screams to me that this card wants to be in that deck, because it will pull you out some pretty cheap, 5-Attack Beasts to progress your Quest fast, and then to summon larger ones post-Barnabus the Stomper. In Standard, though? It's gonna be painful to make this work. Maybe with Survival of the Fittest?
Wild can make better use of this. Standard will leave this in dust.
2/5 in Standard, 3/5 in Wild

Just like Shan'do Wildclaw, we needed to see what kind of Beasts Hunter/Druid would get and I'm assuming that the last spot is a 5 Mana Beast. Otherwise, this card isn't going to be worth being built around.
At 5 Mana, you can get Stranglethorn Tiger which is the best hit, there's also Tundra Rhino and Starving Buzzard but those aren't great hits tbh.
At 4, there's really only Escaped Manasaber, you can consider other ones such as Bad Luck Albatross and Burrowing Scorpid but those aren't really worth running in the deck at all. Or maybe it is idk.
At 3, there's Emperor Cobra, King Mukla, Dread Raven (lol) and Zixor, Apex Predator, there are also others but they're probably not worth the Mana cost.
At 2, there's really only one card which is the [Hearthstone Card (Evasive Chimera) Not Found] for poisonous.
There's nothing at 1 Mana that's noteworthy. Except maybe Shimmerfly but it's a 1/1 and that's not worth 7 Mana.
So basically, currently as I see it this card is just at best like a 7 Mana 2 5/5s with Rush or just kill two with Poisonous. The cards I mentioned have some stealth synergy so maybe that's a thing. But this card is bad, like really bad. It's not consistent enough to be built around and not to mention really slow. It's just a worse version of To My Side! or I guess a better comparison would be Power of Creation. If they had made it so that you can get 6 or maybe even 7 Mana Beasts, this card would be good. The next Hunter/Druid card will make or break this entire archetype in Standard.
Take my words with a grain of salt. I'm unranked and only play casuals lmao.
stupid card in standard ... too costly and too many deck restrictions to be useful
I am 69 years old and still reach Legend
Doesn’t really look that good, given that you’d need to cut cheaper beasts to have any consistency with it
Who needs consistency when you could have fun?
Works well with the deck buffs for beasts introduced.. You will need at least 7/7 combined stats for it to be even worth it.. I guess if your beasts are at least 3/3s and max 5/5s you will get it. M
This requires a build around to be effective, now i'm not sure what 5-mana beasts are best to be cheated out, maybe we will get something at mega reveal
So here we have a OTK Hunter enabler. Helps you get out Tundra Rhino for charge. Also strong in some kind of big spell Hunter.
Kael'thas Sunstrider + cheap spells to cheat out Guardian Animals, which summons Tundra Rhino. I don't know what the next step would be, but it can be quit strong. (In wild maybe the "summon all 3 animal companions" card)
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
No-Tribe 1 and 2 mana minions, and some good beast? But we didn't get any yet. But together with [Hearthstone Card (Shando Wildclaw) Not Found] this can win you the board back.
We have to wait out for all the cards to be revealed before calling this shit. But I'm somewhat reminded of Stampeding Roar, a much better card which also did not see any play. And that was a time where big beast were literally everywhere.
Such a powerful effect, but so hard to use with the current minion pool (in standard).
"Be excellent to each other." -Bill and Ted
Just in terms of value, Guardian Animals costs 7 mana and gets two 5-drops with rush (because I'm assuming your deck will be built to maximize this card). So, taken that way it's pretty good. The problem, of course, is that there really aren't a ton of great Beasts to put in your deck at that mana cost (and the ones that cost less are even worse for this effect). But we haven't seen the whole set, yet, and there are already some obvious ways to mitigate that problem.
Druid has it easiest with Survival of the Fittest and Embiggen, which will make every card you get from this is great. Embiggen Druid already ran Strength in Numbers to cheat one minion by paying for one or two minions, so this seems like an obvious archetype to take advantage of this effect. (Downside - the mana changing effect of Embiggen could make this card complicated.)
The case is a lot harder for Hunter, where Shan'do Wildclaw is the only thing shoring up the cards you hit with this, but Hunter also has much better cards to pull with this even with only a minor buff (e.g. Augmented Porcupine and Zixor, Apex Predator - maybe even Scavenging Hyena if you have a board you're going to trade away on the same turn), and Hunter typically lacks card draw, so this kind of deck thinning could be desirable.
Recruit is always good, this however is quite expensive with the restriction. I guess you could build a deck with a couple of 4-5 mana beasts to get maximal value from this.
This is going to be good at some point, not sure if now. This is a strong payoff card for big beasts though. Tundra Rhino plus something with big attack is near Dinotamer Brann level
We still haven't seen hardly any hunter cards and will probably see them in the big reveal later. If we get a sick five drop this is going to be a deck IMO. It's going to have to be pretty good to cut the diving gryphon/zixor package, but MAYBE you don't cut it and just play this anyway. We'll see.
Also gives a reason to play Shan'do Wildclaw.
Druid will be able to use this way better than Hunter. Hunter has too many small beasts that they don't want to pull, and they also want to close out games before turn 7, or on turn 7 with Dinotamer Brann. Druid on the other hand has some decent medium beasts, and also more ramp which allows them to play this on turn 5/6.
Carrion, my wayward grub.
Better make sure you only put big beasts in your deck for this. If you do, it could be a nice amount of value overall.

Interesting...
I think this card has potential. If you only run Beasts that cost (5) or more (unsure of the viability), then this is guaranteed to pull out two 5-drops, which is not to be laughed at. In Druid, especially, there are ways to reduce the cost of this card as well, albeit not as easily as in some other classes.
For Hunters, unfortunately, this seems a little slow. Like Druid, you could run a Big Beast package, but there are so many useful low-cost beasts in Hunter that it would hamper the class's ability to control the early game.
Started playing HS in May, 2015. The bad news: I missed the excitement of 'Naxx out?' and GvG. The good news: I never met an Undertaker.
I don't see a place for this in any deck, even wild. I don't want to sound bad but I hope I don't open this.
At the time of this reveal there weren't a lot of 5 mana or lower minions you'll want to spend 7 mana on to summon from your deck.
Now that the full sets been revealed reviewing this card is much easier since Hunter and Druid received some nice 5 drop beasts for their standard repertoire.
In druid you'll want this to pull out Teacher's Pet (a 4/5 taunt with deathrattle: summon a 3 cost minion) and Twilight Runner (a 5/4 with stealth that draws you 2 cards whenever this attacks). You can use Embiggen before paying this spell in order to make the minions you summon much bigger, and with them having rush you will probably guarantee a kill with them. Outside of their usual ramp to cheat this spell out faster Druids now have access to Lightning Bloom which is a 0 mana gain 2 mana crystals that turn, it might make your next turn weak but if you pull out 2 5 mana minions on turn 5 you'll probably be ahead on the board.
Hunters can also get Teachers pet from this spell, along with their newly printed Krolusk Barkstripper and Bloated Python, but these are pretty weak in comparison to Twilight Runner or using embiggen and then playing this spell. Hunter also has some strong draw for minions they want with rush with the Diving Gryphon or Scavenger's Ingenuity, and while cheating out mid cost minions sounds good Hunter's current hand buff synergy will want them to play minions from hand, not summon from deck.
This spell doesn't target big beasts, tho, only beasts 5 or lower.
Biggest beasts at the time of reveal to slot with this is King Mukla and Stranglethorn Tiger.
There's more options in wild I'll admit but not a whole lot more
I don't think a 5-Cost Beast Hunter/Druid archetype exists, so I don't see much of a home for this card.
Ah, OK I get why they made this now. Pretty good with the new 5-cost beasts!
Now that we've seen the main card this is supposed to synergize with, there might be room for a big beast Druid where this works pretty well. It also helps cycle through the deck so you can reach KT or Mountseller faster.
I think you underestimate how potent it may get in Hunter's hand, and the fact that it comes from out of your deck - not hand - which can also be a huge deal. But it also seems slow for Hunter's needs
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
A niche card. The best combo is probably with Twilight Runner in druid, thanks also the ramp. In hunter i can't see a deck where you want use it since you have too many beast under 5 mana
Pretty much a Druid only card. Beast Druid got some serious push, although I don't think it is good enough right now. I'll still try though.
Rating cards on coolness factor rather than predicting power because I like screwing up rating averages (and because I suck at predicting real power levels, but we'll ignore that LUL)
Wins per class (2/6/22): DH-197; Druid-996; Hunter-91«60; Mage-1056; Paladin-1126; Priest-746; Rogue-961; Shaman-1095; Warlock-871; Warrior-906
I'm just trying to comment in every card and I have nothing to say about this one
Love the flavour text on this one!
Lemushki - The one and only since the 2006 rebranding.
EDIT: I just tested if Embiggen screws the recruit of Guild Recruiter and Oaken Summons and it does, so Guardian Animals doesn't work in Embiggen Druid, which is the only deck I thought this might see play in. RIP.
I see no applications for this in Hunter in standard as it's too slow for most Hunter Archetypes. This might be fun in wild with Witchwood Grizzly though.
For glory, honor, and gold!
Not as bad as it looks, I think Druid has a better shot of running this than Hunter.
Twilight Runner and Lake Thresher gave this card a fighting chance to see play.
The new beasts definitely make this seem better than I originally thought. But I can see Druid making much more usage out of this than Hnter.
definetly more of a druid card, but a bad draw can make this card completely useless.
Might this give Embiggen Druid a new direction? There's a question, does this card work with the original cost or a card's current cost?
We probably will not see this card in any deck.
Seems like a really cool card and nice combo with trundra rhyno
All hail the banshee queen.
That Twilight Kitty card is crazy strong, Survival of the Fittest has great potential and this card synergises great with both. I definitely see this seeing a lot of play.
I stayed up until 3 am for this card to be revealed only for it to be a return of my least favorite mechanic in the entire game. Fairly easy to say I wasn't a huge fan of it. That being said it looks pretty sweet with Lake Thresher and Twilight Runner as a little package you just throw into a deck. It also makes any future beasts printed a lot more interesting as there is a reasonable chance they can be cheated out now.
Cardboard wizard and dog haver.
I initially thought this was going to be the worst card of the set--until the final drop.
Since the addition of Twilight Runner, Teacher's Pet, and Lake Thresher, this card has a lot more potential!
With right beasts a great card
-=alfi=-
Two oughta do it.
With some 5 mana beasts, included on this set, Guardian Animals could see slow, but having recruit and rush it's a big plus.
With those beasts can clear the bord, draw. It is a huge tempo swing
Um....auto-include in every Beast deck. Lol. I see good potential here.
Thanks to denial, I'm immortal.
Really slow, and only summons beast at (5) or less. Need some rightly-costed, amazing deathrattle buddies to work, we don't have them for the moment, so it's a no-go for me.
Ok card with that new 5 mana beasts.
By The Holy Light!
This is a good build around with certain beasts in a druid deck.
Not sure about this one. Maybe if you only run a few, 5 mana beasts. For example, Twilight Runner and Lake Thresher. One rushes in to clear some enemies, the other can also trade to remove a minion while also drawing two more cards. After that, fill the rest of your deck with non-beast minions and spells.
Quick! Someone give me something clever to write here.
Already proven to be busted in the theorycrafting streams. You ramp or play Lightning Bloom in the early game and you just auto win off the good beasts you put into the deck
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
Decent card for Beast decks. Need to wait and see if those will actually keep up with other decks in a competitive setting, though.
Sigh... guess I'll be forcing this deck to work for a few weeks, huh? It's just... so interesting an idea.
