Really happy with the daybreak cards, nightbreak was underwhelming but some daybreak cards seem borderline broken
I'm certainly happy that Leona is a card now, but...no Tough? She's one of the few champions that didn't come with a basic keyword in either iteration, like Tough or Overwhelm or Challenger. I'm happy she has Stun, at least, but the Yasuo synergy is barely present; we'll need more than just the champion card to pull him away from Noxus, with their plethora of Stuns.
Don't get me wrong, I really like the card. It's just missing something to make it 11/10.
It's interesting to me that so many of the new champions (Leona, L2 Nocturne, and to a lesser extent Taric) really want you to develop rather than open-attack. I wonder how the new meta will develop since so many popular cards (Riptide Rex, Yone, Twisted Fate, Sejuani, The Ruination, Swain + nexus damage) severely punish developing in the late game.
Well I am hoping a few of those cards (mostly Riptide Rex and maybe Sejuani) get knocked down a notch in the same patch as these release in.
Sunburst is a silence that hits champions? *mind blown*
I wonder if a Daybreak and Nightfall deck could work. Play one daybreak unit then nightfall one each turn, getting both effects.
Let's wait for Diana. I think it can work.
Zenit's Blade: *exists*
Nautilus: Drown in the light!
XD You know what, I questioned this before with the Trundle card as well, but I'm gonna let you dream.
The first question I ask when I see a new set of cards is "Which one of them synergyses with Nautilus?".
No, "How viable is it?" isn't a question worth bringing up :p
Hey I shouldn't judge. I do the same thing but for Lux.
Anything good for her yet? I imagine she might actually work well with the trolls if they get more spells like Icequake.
Sadly not. She is pretty weak with things like Sej and Nautilus on the scene, her spells don't do a lot so she needs either a buff or a lot of solid support to make a come back. The meta getting a little slower might help her as well. Sunburst is a great spell for her though, and I am hoping Soraka will be a strong partner for her though we have yet to see any good healing and I suspect it will stay that way since they seem afraid to make good healing. Icequake you would think is good but with Lux being rather fragile two sides aoe's can be pretty awkward for her, especially since playing it while she still has her barrier is next to impossible.
not so excited ...
Leona seems pretty easy to level up, then if she is levelled up on the board and you have another couple of daybreak units too, playing morning light is basically going to stun the whole opponent's board and probably win the game
Also, would be sunburst the only card that can silence champions too?
We need a discussion thread for (non-Leona's) Morning Light.
The video never showcases the card in its regular version (that we can readily see, anyway), so without information like its rarity gem we're gonna leave it alone for now. Needed a showcase like Taric's where we got to see all of the cards outside the video.
Surely the details can be filled in later. We need a place to discuss the card now. The whole point of these forums is to be able to discuss the game in an organized manner, so specific discussions can be easily followed. You're cutting off your nose to spite your face by refusing to make an official thread for a card we all know is coming just because an image didn't appear in a promo video.
I think all the cards are solid all around. It can be punished by fast action, so it leaves room for counter plays. Let's see when the exp coming out..
Leona seems solid, always a fan of a slightly less aggressive champion. Sure she can be aggressive, but the very nature of Daybreak makes you want to play your cards slower to get value from the effects. Big fan of Sunburst, solid removal and a way to get rid of nasty effects like Commander Ledros or Anivia. Guiding Touch is yet another weak source of healing, but it might see some use just because it is so easy to play without too much cost to your deck since it cycles.
