HSReplay recently posted a list of the most expensive decks (they all require more than 14.000 dust) between those who better perform in this early Scholomance Academy meta. If you're sitting on your dust and you don't know what to do with it or if you simply devoted your wallet to Blizzard, this is your place!
Like Bob says: "spend wisely, but you know, spend!" - after all, whales are people, too.
Highlander Mage
Despite being around more than a whole year, Highlander Mage keeps getting carried by its standalone powerful cards like Malygos, Aspect of Magic, Reno the Relicologist and Kalecgos, but let's not forget about Zephrys the Great and Dragonqueen Alexstrasza.

Highlander Priest
Priest is not the favorite class in the game right now (has it ever been?), but it performs really well, with a wide variety of good matchups spread throughout almost all the other meta decks.

Highlander Hunter
Dinotamer Brann on curve is one of the best feelings ever: turn 7 King Krush will hardly be not good enough to justify the one-of restriction, and Zephrys the Great is still legal.

I've had a lot of fun with a similar version of the priest and mage highlander decks. I'm tempted to try the one for hunter because I have all but two of the cards, but I have never played a great deal with hunter, so I'm kind of wary of it.
As expected, I don't play any of these decks, despite having most of the legendaries, and if I only went back and started disenchanting past legendaries starting with Naxxramas I'd probably have them all before I was even done with TGT. If you'd call me a hoarder you;d be on the spot, as I never even play wild.
Despite all these except hunter featured heavily in GM, you can have playable, competitive ladder decks like Paladin (a class that haven't seen actual play for the past few years- and no, Shirvallah OTK doesn't count) for half the dust.
But i loved shirvallah otk was jamming it until April
Yeah I do miss 2 of the legendaries (jandice and Illucia), kinda expensive
Thanks for the lists!
That highlander hunter looks suspiciously last expansion, mind you. No Lorekeeper Polkelt, Ace Hunter Kreen, Adorable Infestation, Demon Companion, etc. I'd say it's a good few thousand dust shy of being pimped up for the SA meta :)
If you include those cards, you need to remove Frizz Kindleroost, Dragonqueen Alexstrasza, Siamat and Nagrand Slam which makes the deck cost less :)
So that means I can say I'm running the budget version then? :P
I have yet to update my HL Hunter list and it’s still pretty good without any SA cards, honestly.
I think Hunter needs to play more aggressively in order to be competitive in current meta. I tried playing the AoO Highlander Hunter but it looses to much. After making it more aggressive, I don't feel so hopeless and can stand a change. I'm at rank 4 atm, but I don't think HH is good for climbing legend. On the other hand, face hunter could be the one to make someone reach legend quickly..
