Hoping for Riven so I can invoke the young tryhard in me and play Yasuo and Riven in the same deck.
is it just me or are they releasing new expansions way too fast?
This is simply the next part of the last expansion. They are releasing it in parts rather than as a whole. As you may notice Demacia and other regions got little to no cards. This will fill in some of those regions but over all will be much smaller.
Edit: I will admit that this post worded the title in a bit of a confusing manner on that front.
You can blame Riot's own phrasing: according to them, Call of the Mountain is a three-part "set", with the "expansions" coming in August, October, and December. August's expansion was simply called "Call of the Mountain" - to confuse things further, I guess - but apparently the other two will have unique names.
After that, we'll start another "set" of three "expansions".
That does seem rather strange to me. I feel like they should make it clearer that it isn't as big as the others. Might lead to a bit of overhype otherwise.
They made it very, very clear when they released the first expansion. There was a whole big infographic explaining exactly how many cards would be in each expansion and when we could expect to see them released.
Making something clear to the people playing it isn't making it clear to everyone. I knew this and so did you but with a game that is in its infancy as this game is I just feel it could be clearer given that many players will be new and not fully follow the system they came up with 3 months ago.
The infographic was at the top of the CotM patch notes provided in the game client. Short of showing up to your house with a singing telegram, I don't know what more you expect from them.

From the trailer, it seems like PZ, SI and Freljord and only region i can see her fit into is Frelojrd, but that is a stretch, isnt it?
Shyvana is from Demacia, and will be their champion. SI and Freljord already got their champion for this set, so I'm a little confused about why they highlighted those two :/
The god-beams are showing where the Landmarks are -- the new card type.
