I have doubts that Landmarks will find a place in the meta.
These cards make me doubt the competence of the design team. For the longest time, I was sure they knew what they were doing. No more.
Legends of Runeterra just went into maintenance mode as far as I'm concerned.
I assume you're talking about the Howling Abyss. I think that it's probably a fine card (it doesn't activate the "When I Level Up" champion abilities, so it doesn't have insane highrolls like Maokai) but it signals a willingness to sacrifice LoR-appropriate card design for LoL references. Rather than going with something that reflects the Lore or Freljord's mechanics, they went with a LoL reference, sacrificing the ability to give Freljord a Landmark that could actually create new decks. I would be more fine with this if it were just a meme epic like Pursuit of Perfection, but it is taking up the Landmark spot for this expansion and using an important lore location. All that being said, meme RNG cards do have a place in LoR (as long as they aren't competitively viable or represent a large part of the meta) so I'm excited to try this card out and have some fun games. 7 Mana for "Round Start: Create a slightly better than average card in hand" is extremely easy to punish with any deck that isn't super grindy control, so it really shouldn't be problematic to deal with.
Would you at least elaborate on your thoughts. What makes you say that based on those cards, doesn't make any sense.

Hmm getting more Hearthstone with that infinite random value, i'm not sure about that.
Voice of the old one can be played as early as 5, will depend on the meta.
More stuns in Targon is welcomed i suppose, and granting overwhelm with a decent body is great too.

I hate infinite value too. But luckily this landmark seems more like a meme than a competitive card. In hearthstone most of the RNG and infinite value cards are very good if not fundamental for a deck, so they see a lot of play, which makes the game a joke most of the time
I'm gonna take the guess and that it's probably Soraka since a bunch of her cards was already revealed so they don't have as much of her cards left.
Probably Zoe, that 5 mana unit looks like it's related to her.
