  • Seems pretty good if you manage to play a Murloc on turn 1 (and it doesn't die). Murlocs definitely need to hold the control of the board now that Warleader leaves and this seems like a good tool for that.

  • Do I even need to point out that 2-mana SI:7 is nuts for any tempo deck?

  • Together with the 1/2 Deathrattle summon a Murloc Tinyfin, which is really sticky, this will really secure the board!

  • a very powerful card !

  • Murloc Shaman is coming back and better than ever my fellow Mrrgls. I probably will just stick with secret mage myself.

  • I see that shaman murloc decks are getting some control tools.

    I like it

  • This one is great. There should be no trouble activating it early, and it will make for great tempo.

  • Cheaper than SI:7 and as easy to combo with a cheap murloc.  Seems like Murloc shaman is coming back strong!

  • Strong card, will certainly see play in murloc shaman.

  • Oooh I want to try murloc shaman again (at east in wild)

  • Seems like a good card that will be in a lot of shaman murloc decks

  • Good merfolk but not meta defyning

  • If murloc shaman becomes a thing this will be played in it 100% of the time. That said I don't know if the cards that we've seen push the archetype enough to bring it to an even footing with other aggro classes.

  • Good murloc removal without having to trade in your whole board

  • This could not be better in my opinion.  The class itself has a lot of Murloc synergy, give it the ability to shoot things as well?  Totally worth it

  • Remember Blowgill Sniper? This is him now, feel old yet?

  • 5/5 one of the best murlocs in a long time, super strong.

  • a somewhat replacement for that rotating murloc with charge.

  • Notably, can go face.

  • Aggro Murloc shaman. Here we come );

  • Looks super good. Who doesn't want to add 2 face damage to a murloc deack?

  • What a cute fishy chieftain!

  • Fun little murloc/shaman card. There may be enough support here to see some actual play on murlocs this year.

  • Nice for murloc shammy

  • Very good murloc. Very sticky

  • It reminds me of Murkspark Eel. The condition is super easy to meet and 2 damage is not insignificant in the early game.

  • good card

  • murlocs are back on the menu

  • I don't think murlocs will be played at all in this expansion

  • More murlocs for an already great archetype

  • Miss the charge keyword

  • better si agent

  • 2 mana 3/2 murloc that deals 2 damage. Case closed, amazing card.

  • MRGL MRGL MRGL? MRGL MRGL MRGL MRGL MRGL!!!! ("GUYS? WE ARE BACK!")

  • very good murloc for murloc decks. nothing else

  • Very nice for aggro murlocs

  • Nice

  • decent

  • Great in a Murloc deck, allows you to wrest complete control of the early board to snowball your lead.

  • Shaman is getting some real Murloc pushers in this set, and this isn't even the most powerful. It's really good for the kind of deck a Murloc Shaman wants to be. Allows for board control to protect your other minions, or face damage. Gonna be a lot of Murlocs on day 1.

  • Very strong card for Murloc Shaman.

But that's of course dependent on Murloc Shaman existing, and the fate of that deck is not too clear.

  • Another cute murloc, will be an auto include in the new murloc shaman, if it's any good

  • ok. i give in. i will want to play this murloc deck. just so much support added

  • Thanks for this one, Blizz.

  • Yes.

  • Thank god for anti-aggro

  • Great card and it's a murloc

  • Murloc power!!!

  • That's fierce and aggressive, even by Murlocs' standard
That'll see play in some form of Face Shammy

  • Solid. Goes into every Murloc Shaman going forward.

  • I hate it when Murlocs are strong.

  • Solid Murloc.

Since in wild Shaman got tons of murloc generation, it will be an easy addition to do face damage.

  • Good card

  • Fishy but good.

  • A staple for Murloc shaman.

  • 2 mana SI:7 Agent in a tempo deck. Seems crazy powerful.

  • Bad card.

  • Murloc shaman mrgl seems overpowered tbh with all this support

  • murloc shammy is back and this is good for boardremoval

  • Wow

  • Very good and will defenitely see play!

  • Good if playing murlocs in Shaman is good again.

  • AnonymousUser's Avatar

Spawnpool Forager makes that card playable on curve.

    Really strong card.

  • Murloc shammy is happening, bois!

  • Its just a good card. Good stats, with a good effect that will stay relevant even in the late game. If you're playing murlocs this guy will always be an auto include.

But of course, you got to be playing a murloc deck. And that's not exactly a 100% tier 1-2 deck, so this card suffers from that.

  • Must include in Murloc Shaman.

  • Another great murloc, though I didn't miss those.

  • Murloc hyyyyype! Good tempo and easy enough to trigger.

  • Murlocs lost their big kahuna in Murloc Warleader. While they can still be very aggressive and, therefore, able to win some games because of that. So, and considering Murloc Shaman is in a rebuilding phase right now, I feel that, aside from maybe a small package of murlocs in a non-murloc heavy aggro deck, South Coast Chieftain probably won't see too much play and even then, the package won't come into the deck because of South Coast Chieftain but rather because of Spawnpool Forager.

  • finally good murloc :0

  • Great card for muloc shaman! It can go face too which is prety huge.

  • The problem with chaman murloc always has been to deal the final damage if the opponent manage to destroy our board. with this we can play a little murloc then do 2 face and finish the opponent. it also allow to trade one taunt minion or take the advantage vs an aggro deck. Probably the best murloc common murloc ever printed.

  • 2 damage, a 3/2, AND a tribe for 2 Mana sounds really great!

  • Solid murloc. Murloc shaman looks like it will be a thing.

  • good

  • Just wow, way to have board control with a murloc deck is a huge deal

  • This is pretty good and not hard to activate.

  • Strong card thank to Spawnpool Forager. U can trade early on or even go face if need some extra damage

  • AnonymousUser's Avatar

Pretty great, one of the key Murlocs for the deck probably. Luckily Spawnpool Forager exists.

  • I see a Murloc deck forming and this card will definitely be in it

  • Another murloc card for Shaman, and one of the better ones, I approve of this insanity :)

  • Good stats for its cost, and the Battlecry makes it that much better. Murloc Shaman making a comeback?

  • Nice murlock removal, new verions of murlock shaman coming

  • Pretty sure you won't have much trouble triggering this one in any Murloc deck.

    • Very good way for Murlocs to continue board dominance without making trades. Super easy to trigger with the new Shaman 1-cost Murloc.

  • Great new Murloc support. I've never really got Murloc decks, but this expansion they are one of the things I am most excited about.

  • I like murloc options. This seems like a decent piece to help them stay on board and/or push extra damage.

  • When they said "nofin can stop us" they're serious then!

  • Such a shame they're pushing Mur Shaman

  • SIMurloc Agent.

  • good card

  • "Murloc sounds"

  • Spring Rocket, costs less with more stats. Amazing card.

  • Insane tempo for Murloc Shaman and the new 1 drop allows it to be played on-curve pretty reliably.

  • Would have been better if it was more expensive but damaged all enemy minions but it's fine this way also

  • if murloc shaman exists, this card will be pretty good

  • Strong Murloc.

  • Perfect combo with the 1-drop, since it'll likely leave the 1/1 behind even if the 1/2 is killed straight away.

  • AnonymousUser's Avatar

A great tempo play, okay stats, just amazing!

  • As someone who enjoys playing murloc decks I like this a lot.  As someone who dislikes facing murloc decks, I dislike this a lot.  The versatility of being able to hit minions or go face is always a good thing, at least for the player playing it.

  • Decent support for murloc shaman

  • Nice tempo tool for Murloc decks that want to go fast and win the board.

  • Combos nicely with Murloc Tinyfin and is a good follow up to a one-drop murloc. My only concern with Murloc Shaman is that they may not have a great ability to reload and can burn out on tempo fairly quickly. Even if Murloc Shaman doesn't work this expansion, South Coast Chieftain is a good tool to help the archetype in the future.

    • How about trying the quest for wild to reload? Unite the Murlocs

Also I am playing murloc shaman in the past few days in wild to get insight into the deck before the expansion launches and you often win without having to reload just by your early board tempo and buff snowballing so I think the non quest version is actually better to not skip your turn 1 but the quest for reload might be a tech if you’re seeing many control decks. Plus you have Underbelly Angler for reload.
