  • Worse than the Dryads

  • Great arena card and will totally see play in constructed with aggro token decks.

  • Dryads reprint, meh.

  • good from discover, but I doubt it'll make a deck.

  • not good but not bad and it fills the taunt theme druid have this expansion

  • Seems fine

  • Like the other one that summoned lifesteals, but better

  • Poor turtles they don't seem to enjoy what's happening

  • Here I thought Token Druid might get a slight nerf via rotating Dryads....but nope, this is even better

    Fuck me

  • Seems like the 28th card you put in.

  • another card for token druid. I am afraid of a token druid meta

  • Mediocre

  • Dreamway Guardians basically reprinted. it will be on token decks

  • Great in arena, not so much in standard.

  • It's like Mirror Image only the tokens can actually do things. We have seen that a pair of 1/2s for 2 mana is strong, this has taunt which both makes life harder for your opponent and also has synergy with the rest of druids cards from this set.

  • This is a solid and useful card. Token Druid will love it, but other Druids will take it off Nature Studies sometimes, too.

  • Very good tool for token druid.

  • Dreamway Guardians except way better at protecting your other minions. Very good card for Token Druid, and fits right into Spells Only Token Druid as well.

  • Its fine. Dreamway Guardians was never a star in any token druid decks and I don't think this will be either.

  • Best thing about this is the turtles, of course. They look great.

  • Its a reprint to dryads, but idk whether this is better. I guess lifesteal vs taunt.

  • cheap 2 taunts with one card

  • ok card could work for ramp druid but they usually dont need the taunt block

  • worse dryad

  • Mediocre, to say the least

  • Not just for token decks, maybe. This could be a reasonable defensive/stall option for other decks, too.

  • good

  • Decent but not outstanding

  • Dreamway Guardians saw play in Token Druid, and this feels like it's roughly on the same power level.

  • Not crazy, but good enough to see play

  • Token druid always get the same stuff I guess

  • replacment for the 2 mana spell that rotates cool stuff

    • Quote From bardozan

      I bet Shadows would agree.

Even in addition to turtles, the card seems solid enough to see play in the lovely lovely Spell Token Druid that we seem to get to enjoy for another year (not a fan of the deck if my tone is not clear enough).

  • Those turtles won't make it to the water

  • Its cheap, its annoying, and its turtles.

Sign me up. For token druid this is just magnificent. For everywhere else, its simply unplayable unfortunately.

  • just another Dreamway Guardians for token druid, it's better at protecting your Gibberlings so this will definitely see play

  • Good for low-curve taunt deck, enables Toad of the Wilds and synergises with taunt synergies itself. High potential in token decks as well.

  • Nice

  • Turtles!

  • This is insane. The nature tag is huge with Guff Runetotem. The tokens, the taunts, watch the eff out.

  • I don't know, on its own it's weak, but probably very useful in token Druid, if they can spare a slot. Probably will se play, but not an exciting one

  • I wonder if you can do anything with them being beats in the next standard token druid.

  • Taunt isn't as good as Lifesteal imo, but Thorngrowth Sentries is still the replacement for Dreamway Guardians.

  • Let's see how good Token Druid is.

  • I am scared of token druid ,this and other cards will make my dreams a nightmare

  • good in token

  • In a vacuum, Taunt is generally better than Lifesteal unless you really need to heal.

  • token deck needed a taunt like more that it needed dreamway. paired with the new buff spell this works

  • Good token generator

  • Tokenish synergy.

Not that strong, but could really scale if not answered.

  • Diversity is key to make token deck fun, this is going in that precise direction

  • It's okay, nothing amazing, but it will be an annoyance.

  • Dreamway Guardians was always a solid on-curve play in Token Druid decks and Thorngrowth Sentries will serve that same roll. There is some concern about Token Druid's viability without Savage Roar, but I think cards like Guff Runetotem can help replace Savage Roar.

  • Better taunts exist. It's alright if generated just not enough.

  • I suppose this gets some extra value with Plaguemaw the Rotting, or Mark of the Spikeshell.

  • Well similar spell but with lifesteal instead of taunt saw play and keyword doesn't really matter much, so this is ok for token druids

  • So tired of token spell druid

  • token druid card, but really quite a boring card. Druid has stronger

  • A spell with options

  • Can be good in Taunt Druid as well as Token Druid. The Nature tag is also a nice addition.

  • Dreamway Guardians 2.0, but with Taunt instead of Lifesteal.

    • Hellooooo, Taunt Druid!

Great card, but the art is... scary.

  • Nature spell, plus beast tags...

    Might find its place.

  • A worse baby Spreading Plague. Could be good in token Druid or as an anti aggro tool.

  • Decent enough to see play in Token Druid.

  • More Token support for Druid.

  • Dryads are better and we dont want to play this to activate some taunt mechanics

  • really good token card 9/10

  • Good early stall. Will work just fine in token or slower Druid decks.

  • Pretty good for token or taunt druid will see play.

  • I'm just going to hate facing this card. So it is probably good.

  • Good but not great - fits into a lot of Druid archetypes

  • another add for token druid

  • Barely decent, but I don't think it'll find the support enough to see it played in Standard.

  • Basically Dreamway Guardians with taunt and without lifestea. Good in token druid, spell druid and with Guff Runetotem

  • I disagree with everyone saying this is worse than Dreamway Guardians for Token Druid. You’re basically losing Lifesteal but gaining Taunt. There are plenty of time I’ve wished for some more taunt in my token decks. It’s not a common enough need to justify adding a card for it, but it’s a nice-to-have. On the other hand, Lifesteal rarely matters in the archetype. So this is overall an upgrade to a card that had already been worthwhile.

This expansion has no other cards that support Token Druid, so we may have to wait until later in the year, unless the existing token decks keep working after rotation.

  • Every expansion:

    Summon 2 _____ 1/2 with _______

    Token druid is always present

  • Another brick to token druid via nature studies

  • Not good, dryads are way better

  • Dryads were better, for me - nothing special

  • Good defensive spell, helps with holding out against aggro in the early game

    • I think this is better than the Lifesteal dryad card from RoS. Taunt helps protect things, such as Guff Runetotem, who will continue to generate value in a token deck.

  • Just more fodder for the spell based token druid. Do you get taunts or do you get lifesteal. Either one works out and now you have extra chances to get one of them.

  • Never discount tiny taunts for token decks! Voidwalker was played for years, was it not? This doesn't seem amazing, but I think it'll definitely have a place. And that's before I even think about the taunt synergy that's coming along.

  • Solid card, I like Token Druid so I like this.

  • It's maybe not useless...

  • fine card

  • an interesting card for token deck

  • Very good stats for the cost

  • Good card for Token Druid. It's not gonna be one of the best cards in the deck but I see no reason why you wouldn't include it.

  • Like so many, I prefer the utility of life steal on the dryads, but this at least replaces the 2-mana generation of some tokens for Druid.

  • Decent Token generator for druid. Will see some use for sure.

  • Much worse than the dryards but atleast taunt druid van use it

  • Not very exciting.  Decent value, but strongly reminiscent of Dreamway Guardians.  If token druid is still a thing (which is almost always a certainty) this will probably see play somewhere.

  • sure. solid card if you're trying not to run minions

  • AnonymousUser's Avatar

To me, it's better than Dreamway Guardians because the healing rarely made a difference (but sometimes it did), while Taunts can sometimes protect other minions. In reality, it will be pretty much the same card.

  • I think this is actually way better than Dreamway Guardians as Druid can actually use Taunt minions. At the very least it's a good final defence tool.

  • Not better than Lifesteals, still ok tho.

  • Token/Beast druid support.

  • The synergy with Taunt Druid is not that big an upside, but the stall potential against aggro to allow such a deck to get to mid/late game is what's important here.

  • It's a staple for the taunt archetype

  • They know just what I like, huh? Pretty good for token decks, especially to combo with the new Legendary as a Nature spell.

Ehhhhhh, not that good. 1 mana seems like it would be fair.
