  • Now that Hex is gone, I think this can be included in even non-elemental decks, basically a 1-mana 4/5

    • Quote From Psychopomp

Now that Hex is gone, I think this can be included in even non-elemental decks, basically a 1-mana 4/5

      but Hex is still around...

  • that alone might be good enough to push Elemental Shaman. If you can guarantee this on turn 5 (or even 4) this is a huge tempo swing against an minion based deck

  • I'd rather just play hex.

Elemental synergy is the most boring and inconsistent mechanic in Hearthstone

  • This seems strong at first glance but I'd rather use Hex. This requires you to have played an elemental the prior turn and Hex's effect is one that you usually have a rather specific target for. If there were easy low investment elementals still around like Firefly I could see this being worth it but since most elementals are reactive in the current pool I don't think you will be able to afford to just endlessly tempo them out to keep this ready.

  • Another good piece to make elemental shaman even better.

  • conditional Hex on a stick. Looks fun. I hope elemental Shaman will be good. But most likely we will see a flood of murloc shaman

  • That's basically a card I designed last year! So cool to see it!

  • Hexing elemental, nice.

  • Will help cause chaos against rez priest

  • Great value here

  • Looks like they had a card leftover from Uldum and had a spot to fill now.

  • 4 stars just because the "Last turn" effects turn out to be not so effective, still incredible.

  • Hex with legs... totally worth it

  • Hex on a stick, AMAZING. This will 100% see play in control shaman, this is amazing. Also very good after a turn 4 Earth Revenant.

  • Very good, if elemental shaman becomes a thing

  • I like it. It reminds me of Vilespine Slayer only elemental instead of combo, and it also can't be resurrected which is nice. I like the idea of elemental shaman but it was never very good. I do think the tribe should be more prevalent as it is kind of shamans whole thing. Hopefully this card helps make that deck better.

  • hex with a body ... very good

  • excellent value

  • this has potential, but play an elemental last turn mechanic is wack

  • good

  • Finally a good elemental shaman support!

  • Elemental time. Nice effect

  • who doesnt like a hex wtih body

  • Murloc shaman looks way better.

  • Reeeeaaly good, but need more support from elementals in general to be played

  • Nice flavour, but Hex hasn't been played in a while coz it's been too slow. This is 1 mana more, so we'd need a control/midrange meta for this card to see play, and for elemental shaman to be good.

  • Amazing, if Elemental Shaman is a thing.

  • Hex on a stick. Going to even see play in wild I think

  • Transform removal elemental? Finally some support

  • I know several other people already said "Hex on a stick" but ...

I think this is actually pretty good though. The condition should be easy to meet.

  • Perfect!

  • This is strong enough to make Elemental Shaman a thing for sure

  • HS devs: if we keep throwing elemental cards ..  amazing synergies must emerge!

Players:  .......  (stare back with suspicion and doubt in their eyes)

  • If any card enables Elemental decks it's this one. Hex on a stick is just too nice.

  • could be good but slow setup to hex a minion

  • It's a Hex with a 4/5 body for 1 mana, although it's more awkward/inconsistent to use. If you need to Hex something, then you'll want to do it right away and not rely on playing an Elemental one turn and then this. Although it still might be good for Elemental decks.

  • Body + spell together has nearly always been good

  • Value 5/5 .Hex with a body and shaman can play 4 hex in the deck now.

  • Hex on a stick for Elemental Shaman. Good board control tool, if you have enough Elementals to keep it active. Maybe Elementals is a mid-tier deck for Shaman. I don't think it'll be doing too much in the coming meta.

  • conditional frog with a body for 5 mana, I like it

  • Nice payoff for playing elementals.

  • In an elemental deck this could disrupt ress mechanics, deathrattles, a lot of annoying stuff, but... Is elemental shaman worth it?

In wild not much, but it's nice to see support for the archtype.

  • The Hex effect is going to be extremely important all the time now. Even if you're not a full Elemental Shaman, you might consider running a bit of an Elemental package just for this. (But seriously, why would you not be a full Elemental Shaman? EDIT: Oh, right, stupid Murlocs.)

  • Good hex for elemental deck

  • Hex on a stick, and it curves out well from Earth Revenant. Seems really powerful for a control deck.

  • So hex is rotating next year then?

A good card but conditional use as you have to know when your opponent will play their big threat guaranteed so you can play a trigger first

  • Hex and elemental minion? Will see play for sure.

  • Potentially nice tempo swing, but I don't know if Elementals are good enough to play.

  • So on top of Hex, now you can also run Hex on a stick - it fits perfectly into Elemental Shamy!

  • Hex on a stick - but is there still enough elemental synergy? Likely get swallowed up in the tide of murloc decks (and not placed with them as per reveal stream LOL)

  • Initially, I didn't think Elemental Shaman would make it, but looking at this list I'm actually quite hopeful. Lilypad Lurker will no doubt be in a refined version.

  • This may fit in elemental decks. Die, Rez priest, die!!

  • A healthy body with hex

  • Hex on a stick that requires a condition, but shouldn't be too hard if that's what you're building your deck around.

That card is a worth 8 mana for 5. I will try an elemental shaman for sure.

  • The question is , would you play that over Hex ? I guess in an Elemental List for sure, otherwise i think not so much. Still pretty decent.

    • Hex power creep

  • If you can get the elemental train going reliably, this is basically Vilespine Slayer.

Tempo shaman? Perhaps, its not entirely out of the question. Shaman can gain and keep board quite well, and there are tools available for midrange shaman to do well.

  • Hex on a stick.

  • This might just be the card that makes Elemental archetypes viable again.

  • Hex on a stick, sooo good! Yes, you need to play another elemental, but that should be easy enough.

  • Powerful effect but dear lord, it's so inconsistent. When a threat arrives, you will most likely want to deal with it immediately, not one turn later. Aside from prediction plays (which even those can be countered by not dropping your big guy the turn after Shaman plays an elemental if you fear Lilypad Lurker), this card is just way too slow to be good.

When it hits, it's amazing. But its clunkyness might be too crippling.

  • awesome card but other elementals aren't good enought

  • You need to have played elemental, and also to have a target for this to ge good, so janky, no thanks

  • Thats near the value of a legendary, an actual 4 mana spell with a 4/5 body. Others elemental seems meh but this one could actually make us want to play the archetype.

That said, we need to anticipate the turn we'll need to play the frog so its too complicated to read the opponent playstyle it wont see play

  • If elementals are good this is insane if not it will never see play.

  • Hex on a body. Elemental synergy isn't hard to do. Great card!

  • good

  • You need to consistently put down elementals to make this work

  • Not a terrible condition to meet to get a Hex with a decent minion.

  • This card is a 5 star for sure, but right now I can't see an Elemental Shaman. In the next expansion this can card be super scarry with some support

  • Hexing a specific minion is very good. Dependant on if elemental shaman is good though

  • AnonymousUser's Avatar

Likely an amazing card for a bad deck. We'll need more support for this to shine, and I think there could easily be some support throughout the year.

    • Agreed

  • Damn, with this, Devolving Missiles and Hex itself, Shaman is the anti-deathrattle master.

  • Looks like a good value, Hex on stick, not hard to pull of.

  • Great tool for Control Shaman

  • If Elemental Shaman becomes a thing, this will be there for sure. Not that many other decks wanting this, I'd imagine.

  • Good. IMHO just hex+

  • FUN FACT*: Frogs in Azeroth cannot actually reproduce. All frogs are actually other species that have been hexed.

    *that I just made up

  • Good stats and great removal, will see some play for sure

    • That is a very strong payoff card for Elementals and will probably push some form of Ele-Shaman into viability.

  • Better Hex in elemental shaman. But will elemental shaman be a good deck?

  • Is good to have a third hex in the deck, but the frog still have taunt, better have something else to kill it

  • Good card for particular builds i guess

  • Very, very good and even has potential to make Shaman a lot better in arena.

  • good card

  • Even if the hex was random this would be good

  • Hex on a stick is pretty good. The requirement to have elementals in order to get value makes me think twice about i the though. Sure it keeps some hard removal for Shaman, but it requires two cards to enable with one of them almost needing to be prescient in being played.

  • Elemental Shaman will never see play without legendary support

By the way, the frog art is so cute.

  • Great value, provided you're playing elemental shaman.  Not sure if there will be enough strong elementals for that to be a thing though...

  • Uh... Hex on a stick?  If you're playing elemental shaman and don't include this, I'd have to say you're probably insane.  Fantastic value for the cost, and pretty easy to trigger if the deck is built right.  To quote Buddy, the Elf: "I'm in love! I'm in love! And I don't care who knows it!"

  • I think in a vacuum, this is AMAZING. I think with the elemental trigger this is still pretty good. If we get even better elemental support in either the mini-set or throughout this year, then this can be a very clutch play.

  • oof. hex on legs. no way this isn't good.

  • too conditional  to see play

  • Is elemental shaman back?

  • There's a lot of Elemental synergies floating around, and I just don't know what to expect from it all. This definitely makes it as part of that deck... but is that deck a thing?

  • AnonymousUser's Avatar

1 mana 4/5 plus a hex. Chillwind Yeti be rollin' in his grave. The value hurts.

  • Reminds me of Rotnest Drake and Vilespine Slayer as another midgame tempo removal that is very powerful. There is a Windfury Shaman that could curve Fantastic Firebird or Earth Revenant into Lilypad Lurker for a monster top end curve. I'm keeping my eye out on this one as well as the other elemental synergies Shaman got this expansion.
