  • Good card

  • Good but probably not good enough. 1-damage aoes just aren't that great if you don't have follow ups

  • I feel like it will be solid. Not a star or anything but good enough to be played as a board ping and a wall to keep aggro back.

  • after playing with that 2 mana 1 whirlwind elemental, I can tell this iwll be good.

  • I think it will not be impactfull enough

  • Not good enough, cute though.

  • Decent, good defensive tool for control oriented decks.

  • With the potential for people to play Frenzy, why would you want to play something that would trigger it?

  • Strong card

  • Amazing card, that be pretty good against aggro. I like it.

  • not that exciting...

  • Solid card, but something to consider is that it may activate frenzy too easily.

  • Sandstorm Elemental, but bigger and with taunt. The whirlwind effect feels a bit weak by turn 4, but this card still seems strong with taunt and the elemental tag.

  • good elemental with "new hex" synergies

  • Good value in arena, not in standard

  • week stats

  • good

  • Soft board clear and taunt! Very good!

  • seems good

  • Nice BC minion

  • Uncondential Arcane Explosion with a good taunt body.

  • Dealing 1 damage may seem slow for turn 4, but this could be in a tempo deck and help with the trades.

  • Control Elemental. Kill all the murlocs.

  • Good body, but it can trigger a lot of the opponent's frenzy effects for free

  • if elemental decks pull of, this might see play. other than that, weak card imo

  • Loving this cards that help slow down the game a bit

  • Shaman's gonna be stomping on all those aggro decks out there, I like it! 😎

  • seems decent body and damage perfect

  • Very nice defensive card

  • Nice

  • Decent but not decent enough to see competitive play

  • opponent deck with frenzy will be happy to see this.

  • Elements, schmelements.

  • Decent card in slower Shaman decks, hopefully they manage to exist. Also slots nicely in elemental decks.

  • Seems nice as a decent Taunt body with a "free" Arcane Explosion.

  • Looks very good. Solid stats with taunt, plus a bit of AOE, plus elemental synergy.

  • Big boy here to protect from aggro .

  • Anti token/aggro card with subpar stats.

Still, better IMO than Sandstorm Elemental, the taunt sells it.

  • It's OK. Decent defensive body for Elemental Shaman, but if this is the best you can do for Elemental Shaman then maybe that archetype won't work.

  • One of the reasons you'll consider playing Elemental Shaman. Might be wanted by general Control decks.

  • Good effect - check
    Good stats - check
Immediate impact on the game - and check
    Verdict: Should see play

  • oh right elemental shamman is a thing now, ok

  • Seems strong. Unplayable maybe with all these frenzy card

  • It's perfect for its intended purpose -- halting aggro. Whatever else you may want out of it is asking too much.

This minion is a dream come true for midrange Elemental decks.

  • Decent card, but if frenzy is a thing this expansion, it will never see play for fear of triggering ut

  • Good enough to see play, I think. Yes, it'll most likely need to be combo'd to fully remove minions on your turn, but because it has Taunt, it may finish some of them on its own when they attack.

  • This guy has enough bundled effects and synergies to see some play.

  • Looks like the new shaman will have two main archetypes - Elemental and Murloc.

  • Sandstorm Elemental 2 0, and without Overload

  • very solid arcane explosion on a state to eliminate some pesky tokens - good for control shaman. dt this is enough for elemental shaman to take off

  • nice wall and aoe

  • Initially, I didn't think Elemental Shaman would make it, but looking at this list I'm actually quite hopeful. I'm not as sure about Earth Revenant as about Arid Stormer and Lilypad Lurker. He just might be cut in a refined version.

  • Enemy frenzy enabler.

  • Nice but too expensive

    Neat antiaggro tool! :D

    • Weak in Frenzy world

  • Its an elemental and its a decent minion with a nice 1 damage AoE. Its not the AoE that's really making it for this card, its the fact that its an elemental that curves into Lilypad Lurker and a decent stopper with 6 health.

    I think its fine.

  • Good card, mana cost a bit high.

  • Great anti-aggro taunt, and it synergizes with Elementals. Not OP, but decent.

  • Well at first it seemed like a good card but with Frenzy being a thing this expansion this could also backfire.

Ok Card but right now i think this is not good enough to be played over other cards.

  • Good for anti-aggro. Stealth rogue will be seriously crippled with all the wide pings coming in.

  • awesome control tool

  • Depends what the 4-mana pool looks like, but could be a solid drop.

  • Elemental synergies are clunky and outside of that effect is just meh

  • 1 damage is not really good and it will trigger opponent frenzy effects. Plus stats are weak.

  • Great for elemental shaman and for control taunt and board clear with decent stats in one card pretty good!

  • Simple solid card. Continues Elemental chains.

  • good

  • This is a perfectly reasonable card, elemental tag, damage, and taunt. Very effective.

  • Not terrible but neither super strong. Probably it's only good in a agro meta

  • Nice taunt + arcane explosion package

The Taunt is what makes this a great card, I can see this showing up often when the meta settles and becomes aggro.

  • Weak attack but a lot of durability plus the aoe damage. Decent card on control shamans

    • Agreed

  • Seems like a very solid card.

    ...

    Pun intended.

  • Not bad, elemental tag and taunt helps a lot.

  • Effective aggro stopper

  • Looks very strong, given that the new 1 drop Elemental can reduce its cost by 1

  • Another autoinclude to Standard Elemental Shaman if that becomes a thing. Might see some play outside that as well, it's not a bad card.

  • Another card for elemental shaman, but not enought good in my opinion

  • Looks like a decent taunt minion. Maybe throw it into an elemental deck. Curves right into Lilypad Lurker too.

    • Real good against swarmy decks and a good Taunt body for defending against most forms of aggression.

  • Decent option for some early control against aggro. The battlecry essentially gives it three attack against  anything that was on board when it was played. It also gives you a chance to activate any unused frenzy effects from your opponent if you choose. Although, I can see situations where that turns into a negative as well.

  • Aside from allowing Shamans to have an answer to Stealth rogue, it's an answer on turn 4. By then, their stealth minions hae already been revealed and punched your face twice. Sandstorm Elemental was just much better than this.

  • Decent card but the attack stats are pretty weak for a 4 cost

  • solid card, aoe on a beat stick PLUS the elemental tribe? nice

  • At least elemental Shaman is better than murloc shaman.

  • That's a solid card if I ever saw one. Good inclusion in any midrange Shaman deck. Mini-AOE on top of a thicc body for a 4-drop is pretty good.

  • Nice card, not amazing though.

  • good card

  • SOLID

  • With no legendary support, elemental shaman will not be viable

  • It's a good card, although not particularly exciting.  It's like a Stegodon with Arcane Explosion tacked onto it.  Neither card is amazing by itself, but stick 'em together and it's not half bad.

  • Will the 1 damage ramp up with spell damage?  If so, might be a good card for Spell power shaman, if that becomes a thing.   Otherwise,  will have to see if elemental shaman is a thing, in which case this is ok for filling out the deck with elementals.

  • the solidest of solid cards

  • Great all around card, and a solid elemental to boot. The damage can be nice to clear out some aggro minions or leftover stuff, or to wipe out some divine shileds.

  • Elemental Shaman is back? Nice!

  • Seems good. My only concern is this activating Frenzy effects for the enemy. Sometimes this may sit in your hand and that's never good.

  • I like it! It's a big elemental with taunt.

Ironically it triggers other frenzy lol

  • a fine card, nothing more

  • Frenzy activator?  Seems good with the aoe, body, and taunt.

  • Just a solid card. I don't know if Shaman wants this right now, but as an Elemental there might be something there.

  • Because of frenzy, the battlecry might be a downside as much as a benefit.

  • Solid anti-aggro card.

Also great counter to 1 health stealth minions.

  • Decent enough

  • AnonymousUser's Avatar

Seems better in wild, where frenzy wont be as impactful. Seems decent tho.

  • decent for elemental shaman

  • Great removal on a stick

  • While this isn't as flashy as the other elementals, it will probably be needed to curve into the insane midgame tempo swing of Lilypad Lurker, which is basically a Rotnest Drake for elementals. I also wouldn't underestimate the AoE ping effect that will make the 2/6 body a better one to trade.
