OH SHIT I CAN FEEL THE ELUSIVES
Out of the meme, is Nami the most flexible champion of the game? (Outside of the best follower in the game, Darius) You know, theres no game where you dont gain spellmana, so his Level Up is a warranty, then, theres no deck who doesn't run spells, so by discard (not the game mechanic) you're gonna activate Nami, and his effect is veryyyyyy strong, the +1 ATK can make your opponent change of blockers and mindset, and the we can't talk about the +2/+1, cuz is the same, but better. Also, much important, his effect GRANT PERMANENTLY the stats, who is bonkers. Also x2, the theme of a support-backrow-champion without Support is very interesting and i want more of that kind of design.
Then, we can talk about powercreeping with Marai Warden? cuz Petty Officer is a good card cuz the flexibility of the 1-cost unit or the Keg, but Marai Warden is VERY GOOD... but no SOOOOOO powercreeping over it, idk, it gaves me a good taste of mouth when they do a good powercreeping who isn't truly powercreeping, idk. Journeying Sandhopper seems algo very good, people don't see what a good mechanic is Attune, and Fleet Admiral Shelly give me the Elusives creep, Marai Songstress the same, cuz you NEVER gonna play it without Elusive, like the Lunari Elusive girl. Tidal Wave is like a very fun card-quest thing who is interesting to support in a deck, with Zap Sprayfin or basically Predict. In the other way, Abyssal Guard and Avatar of the Tides seem so bad, idk man.
Out of the Nami cards, The Lady of Blood is discard and Noxus so i love her from the start, and his effect isn't bad but 4 mana is a lot. Curious Shellfolk, Mirror Mage and Tail-Cloak Matriarch are like the classic big-costed-second-rarity-cards-who-are-engines-of-the-archetypes but are a little weird by himselfs, being Mirror Mage the best i think?
So the video pretty much confirmed that prank works on cards in hands and only if the opponent has less than 2 cards in hands target cards in the deck?
It's really a powerfull effect if that is the case
They already confirmed it by a Q&A i think, or Twitter idk, Prank first affect hand, then if is impossible in hand, deck. The worst Prank case-scenario is when you can Prank one and only one card of the hand, and the other comes from the deck, and you Prank the deck-card who is very slow in comparison, who really balances the Prank mechanic i think.
Not my thing, but I can see the potential. I like buffing units, though, so...maybe I'll give her a shot.
Oh and Riot: maybe don't have your showcase video rely on randomness lol. If she wasn't lucky with Ebb and Flow, Nami would have lost Fizz to GP. Just sayin'.
Nami now that's a champion that I haven't see in a while. It looks like she is going to be playing more of a supportive role, not my favorite type of gameplay but it fit's her.
More importantly it looks like Ahri is going to be the Ionian champion.
Looks like Ahri will have some kind of recall theme as well, though one card isn't much to go on just yet.
Man...I wanna try Lux/Nami...but Demacia/Bilgewater is such an awkward faction combo for spell focused decks...If anyone drops a midrange unit you just look at it awkwardly and think of how you wish you had the Shadow Isles.
You really want to combine any champion with Lux don't you?
I mean Lux and Nami both want you to play spells but completely different spells: Lux wants few big spells Nami wants many small spells.
To me Nami would fit way better into targon because when combined with gems Nami looks very scary
Maybe a Nami/Fizz, BW/Targon elusives deck.
I mean yeah I do. I like Lux.
That said Lux doesn't ask for big spells all that heavily. A few 3 mana spells is plenty and Ebb can trigger her in a single turn if you go through the full three spells. Its not that insane an idea. I look for reasons to use her for sure, but I don't think I'm looking that hard here. Lux has rarely ever been played that much but when she does she often sees play without even being alongside the mageseeker crew, so 6 mana spells specifically isn't a hard requirement for her.
Edit: Plus I did say above that it would be a bad deck. I merely stated I wanted to play it, not that it would be competitive.
