Meta Changes No One Will Talk About But Me

The big problem with having mobalytics curated by essentially 2 people is that you can run into issues where personal bias plays a big role into how tier lists are designed.

I'm speaking specifically of thr Poppy Swarm style decks currently listed on the tier list.

They aren't registering on stats meaning they either loose so often you can't find the stats or nobody is playing then for much the same reasons.

The reality is there are much strong Poppy Swarm style decks as soon as you realize you can cut bandlewood.

You can run Poppy in scouts with 1 cost synergy and its actually very scary when there isn't a lot of wither whail or avalanches

You can run her in demacia so you can take advantage of elite synergy

Like dont get me wrong lulu into fleet feather tracker is strong but thats a one trick ponny and it basically stopped working after a week.

Experiment, evolve try new brews!

  • Mobalytics only tracks the statics of players who use the app if you don't see Poppy deck on their meta states is doesn't mean that they loose so often or that nobody is playing them, it's just mean that the player who use the application aren't playing said decks.

    If you look at statics from Dak who actually use the Riot official API you will notice that Poppy decks have both solid win rates and play rates.

  • I dont know if I can trust that website its saying pirate aggro is winning 60% of games which would make it the best deck in the game for ladder and I actually belive pirate aggro has never been worse.

    Now bandle tree Swarm I can find stats for aka tristana poppy and it's at 54% but Poppy Lulu I know it's seen a huge drop in play and there's gotta be a reason for that.

    And I think that fleet feather tracker into lulu is easy to counter so people stopped playing it.

    • Pirate aggro is the most straight forward deck in the game, it's always going to have a high winrate because people are less likely to make mistakes with it. It can also win unfavorable match up if your opponent don't have a good opening hand. That doesn't mean it's the best deck the game.

      The deck is also played a lot in Master because it has a favorable match up against Nami/Zoe who is the most popular deck at that rank.

    On a serious note it's a bit odd that someone provides statistical site evidence and you dismiss it completely out of hand with nothing more than baseless opinions.  I'm not saying you can't have an opinon, but it's a unique type of person to dismiss stats completely when presented with countering evidence and statements like:

    • "I dont know if I can trust that website"
    • "I actually belive pirate aggro has never been worse"
    • "And I think that fleet feather tracker into lulu is easy to counter"

  • Yes and I provide mobalytics stats that directly contradict what is being said. Also I'm honored you made a meme about me not sure if that speaks to your abundance of spare time or my influential nature in the community.

  • Man these "bad" poppy decks I made sure do win a lot just started my climb after meeming hard easy gold. Then on to Plat and we'll see if I have the patience for Diamond again depending on how busy I get with RL.

    All without a single meta deck 😝

      Nobody said your decks were bad. And nobody cares which decks you use climbing through gold. The "conjecture" has no connection with how your personal climb was on the ladder, but it does connect with how you ignore the winrates of certain decks and just say they are bad anyways. 

  • Actually I'm a diamond player mostly and I do it over my phone in my spare time.

    With zero meta lists only my own decks.

    And I'm free to play

    Anyways let's talk about worlds.

    What do we see, we see Nami, we see Catlyn, we see Sivir.

    We dont see poppy strongly indicating the current poppy lists dont perform well in tournaments.

    The reality is building decks being original is hard  and so is climbing while being original. Criticizing others because youre bad at the game is easy...so keep on doing you guys.

      Nifty, how good you are as a player does not change statistics created by analyzing multiple players. They might not be as good as you. They may be better. That’s how you create an average. 

      As well, I think I can speak for a lot of us and say, you may be a good player; but we could care less when you are shoving it in our faces. Saying that other players are bad at the game because they disagree with you does not help you either. All it shows is arrogance. 

      For me, I would rather talk about game mechanics than personal accomplishments and berating other player

        Pretty much this, 100%.  

        Nifty, creating discussion threads is not a bad thing, even if you do come off as over-eager.  But people generally don't care about what rank you are at, barring specific meta circumstances.  But the last thing we need or want is for you to purposefully misinterpret replies, and then continue to not only misuse terms ("So much conjecture" --- what?  That's not even  proper use of the word) and embarrass yourself; but lowers the ability for you to be taken seriously by others when making discussions about metas.  In addition we don't need you shoving your rank in our faces.  It really doesn't matter.  And then the icing on top of the cake is assuming that because we disagree with your postulation we are bad players.  When it couldn't be further from the truth.  

        In short: You don't seem to want discussion, you want an echo chamber.  And when people disagree with you, or call you out on your theory to provide backing/proof... you insult them, call them names, and generally turn into an infantile keyboard masher.
