Theorycraft Quest Paladin

This seemed like a reasonable way to go forward. With so much sticky stuffs, buffs for that stuffs seemed like a way to win games.
The deck largely lacks comeback mechanics, but I think the 3x different types of divine shield taunt buffs (Zilliax, Annoy-o, Blessing) should help with that.
Obviously, a ton of cycle to get through your quest completion crap as quickly as possible.

Crystology targets: Murmy, Temple Berserker, Micro Mummy
Salhet's Pride targets: Murmy, Loot Hoarder, Replicating Menace

I think one could consider cutting either Da Undatakah, or some manner of SN1P-SN4P & Replicating Menace in order to have a cleaner deathrattle pool.

There are also some cards that could be great options: Questing Explorer, Siamat, and Bone Wraith.

  • Just like normal mech paladin and the new Hpower has synergy with some deathrattles

  • My biggest concern is that you need play so many Reborn Minions, and you only have this expansion for a card pool of them, so you likely will need to play some sub-par reborn minions to be able to complete the quest in a reasonable amount of time. Otherwise, with both your decks, you only have six reborn minions, which will usually take a long time to draw through your deck to get enough to complete the quest.

  • You can go infinite with Immortal Prelate and Da Undatakah combined with new hero power

Oh yeah - that is the biggest weakness of this quest by far. I don't expect this to be terribly good.

    • Mine has 8 but I agree with you its kind of slow to complete the quest fast, but the idea of mine is to play as a mech paladin at the beggining + the New hero power has synergy in late game likie 7 mana egg+Hpower 8 mana whelp+Hp 10 mana tirion and undertake + Hpower.Thats I chose low cost roborn minions.

I dont know how good this deck will be but I will give it a try.

  • From what I seen quest paladin is worse than the old quest paladin.. It's just too fair compared to other decks. And the reborn minion are mostly just OK or passable...

  •  I'm going to try this deck. It should give you a bit of time to complete your quest and then benefit from the new hero power

I mean, they're completely different in what they're seeking to do. The only thing they have in common is that they're both quests.

  • Na this quest is busted. Watch Kripps video on YT

Kripp's deck works when everyone is theory crafting, and no one is running silence or transform, or even refined deck lists.

I'll admit, his deck was working a bit better than I'd have expected.

      1.he didn't show loses.

      2. he played against zoo priest and highlander paladin those decks are both.. very hard to refine rather than the deck that build itself that is quest paladin.

      3. I mean.. you can also watch kibler playing plot twist warlock and doing well it doesn't say much about the power level of the deck.. some players are just better than others in zooish games kripp is quite good since he is an arena player.

  • I wonder if Body Wrapper is worth a try to get more copies of reborn minions. May be a bit slow though.

  •

Tried to theorycraft it too, got this list, it's not perfect but it's a start

Not sure about kandghor endless army, it has poor synergy with the robotic mummies. I'm probably better off including something else like dah undertakah

  • Quest wouldn't even be so terrible if there were some actually useful reborn minions...but pretty much only Bonewraith is even remotely good and everything else is basically run out of obligation

not to mention that none of the Reborn minions are even that great to use with the quest reward so you actually have to include a bunch of Deathrattles to even make the quest work....also it takes way too long. How come Shaman gets the best reward for only 6 battelcry minions with tons of support, but Pally needs to play 5 minions with a keyword exclusive to this expansion only

there's not even the possibility of it improving, it's just gonna eternally suck

  • Here's my take on it, won everything in Casual with it so far (I know, doesn't say much on release day but I did just beat a Murloc Shaman with it). The Reborn minions aren't all that bad. They can challenge the board quite decently and stall long enough to get your scary stuff on the board.

My take on it aims at copying Mechano-Egg or Mechanical Whelp, as well as having Da Undatakah thrown in for good measure. The rest is defense or Magnetic to make your 2/2 copies even scarier. It also doesn't run Kangor's because it's bad with the smaller Mech minions like Micro Mummy. And your Hero Power is basically a miniature version of it anyway.

It's still an early version. Might be missing some card draw or board clear through Wild Pyromancer but it's worked so far.

  • Found something that worked for me in the end

  • I think this is the most viable and consistent list i have played so far i think for the paladin quest.

Going to write a guide for this later today.

  • Current experience is that quest druids and priests are so strong that they feel OP ... Seems pala is unsuited to beat them....

  • FWIW, BoW has hard carried my last three games against a Bomb Warrior, Quest Rogue, and Quest Shaman. Obviously the smallest of small sample sizes, but I'm really digging what I'm seeing.

Since you are committing so much to the board, it's great to be able to do so without worrying as much about your hand size.

  • Blessing of Wisdom is a good idea. I may try one copy in place of Questing Explorer because i sort of feel like that card is inconsistent in this deck and not valuable after the quest is completed. I like running Acolyte of Pain to maximize the value of Crystology and it has potential to draw multiple times and influences the way my opponent plays around my board sometimes.  As mentioned theres also some synergy with Subdue although the main purpose of that card is to neutralize big minions and make them easy to clear without losing my own. Plus i could occasiinally play a Pharaoh's Blessing on it and then copy it as well.
