Something about MtG I want to share with you, people.

In just a few days I'm going to celebrate my 33th birthday, and my mom (yeah, my beautiful mother :D :D :D) decided to buy me a Magic: The Gathering 2020 Core Set Booster Box (x36 packs) for it, as if I were still a f...king kid!!! :) :) :) I'm starting to wonder why I need friends and brothers with a mom like this... :P :P :P

Ok, ok, hehe, I know, it's really not something impressive for most of you, but I wanted to share this with my beloved ex-Hearthpwners because I know many here started playing Magic: the Gathering through MtG: Arena and never opened a single real MtG pack on their lives (which really sucks, I know... sorry :( ).

I'm going to post a lot of pics in a few days on this same thread, so wish me tons of luck!!! :D :D :D

Note: the pics are going to be about the cards, not me, neither about my birthday party. :P :P :P

            Well that is one of the options in the spinning opponent wheel thingie so the flavor is there, but it's still missing the O-factor of OOC.

            Also we shouldn't derail Sherman's Magic-al birthday thread, he doesn't enjoy threads that go off-topic.

      Thank you!!! Yeah, I think it kinda is... It's not a super spectacular set, but it has some very interesting cards. :D

        I like that MTG creators are not afraid of making cards like this.

        In Hearthstone lately you can notice that we get good cards but not "too good". For example the new Reno.

          Well, they are going to release Hyena Alpha this expansion, which is a very strong and stupid card if you ask me. Magic: The Gathering is a much more complex game than Hearthstone (yeah, I know, almost everyone knows that :P), so I'm fine with cards like Rotting Regisaur, but a bit angry with Team 5... >:-(

  • I too used to live for the opening of Magic packs when I was a kid.  I spent all my allowance and earnings from eBay on more decks & packs.  Those were the days.

  • It's not my birthday yet, but I have already received my so-long awaited gift!!! :D :D :D Yeah, yeah, I know, the waiting has been just a few days, but for me it has been an eternity!!! :P :P :P

    And guess what? I opened two f...king Rotting Regisaurs (and one is a foil card :D :D :D)!!!

    I really like this set, and of course, I opened many other interesting cards (although only one Planeswalker :( ) but I'm going to upload more pics in the days to come, handling so many cards is a real mess as some of you already know... XD XD XD

  • Quick two questions, before you opened the packs, did you sniff them at all. The other question is kind of a follow-up question of did you sniff the pack after you immediately cracked it. Both of these are two vital steps when it comes to cracking packs and to not would be missing a large part of the experience.

      I love that fresh small after you open a Magic pack! It is one of the main reasons Magic packs are more fun to open than Hearthstone packs.

      Damn, I have been very busy today, didn't really expect this day to be so demanding... I will upload the missing pictures tomorrow, for anyone out there who is still interested on this. :) :) :)

    As for your mom, she is op as a fuck which is only natural as she gave birth to a chaos god! I really wish you the best my dear friend for you and your family! And who knows, we might toast beers you in person  one day! Only an ocean separates us anyway! :D
