What Are You Playing? October 2023
Skipped September for some reason: probably because I was completely stressed out of my mind so remembering to post about this escaped out the back door lol.
Like I said back in August, I've still been all over the damn place when it comes to partially-completing games. Add Sea of Stars, Relic Hunters Legend, and (sadly) Baldur's Gate III to the list of stuff that has been started but not finished. I might need some ADHD medication - or my life stressors to stabilize at the very least - so I can find the motivation or whatever to play a game from start to finish.
Currently, I am back to playing Hearthstone (sigh), as well as a second playthrough of Elden Ring; this time with a keyboard + mouse on Steam. Blocking feels easier on KBM, so I'm gonna give shields a fair shake - I quickly dropped them on the PS5 and resigned myself to dodging everything. It's been an easier experience so far, although some of that could be explained away via the knowledge already gained from playing through it the first time.
Of course, whether or not I finish this Elden Ring playthrough is another question, with Marvel's Spider-Man 2 coming on the 20th! Super excited to play that, so everything else might end up on the backburner yet-again.
What're you playing currently? Anything new you look forward to playing this month?

Going through all the RollerCoaster Tycoon 1 parks, and I'm getting super close to beating all of them.
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 game looks pretty sweet and I'm hoping to join you on that.... once I find the time to play the first one.
Demon, I am jealous of your playthrough of Roller Coaster Tycoon and really want to play it again. So many great memories over years of playing RCT, I'd love to make even more pending the time to do so.
On my side of what's being played for October:
There's also a couple of titles I want to check out to write about for the site, on top of Zelda Seasons and Ages which dropped on Switch Online not too long ago.

Nothing spectacular from me. A friend of mine recently sent me a template for "your Top 25 games of all time" and I couldn't even come up with more than 10 :D On the plus side, I usually finish them.
Anyways. Here's my schedule for October:
I notice I am confused. Something I believe isn't true. How do I know what I think I know?

Oh wow I am doing the same right now! But nowhere as close to finishing. Got into the first and third one last month.
Finished replaying Assassins Creed 2 right as October Started.
Also Payday 3 came out some weeks ago and I have been playing that a lot too, really enjoying the gameplay. The servers were crap during the first days but it seems to be fixed now. Almost dropped it during those days.
Other than that I have been trying lots of games from my backlog but none stuck with me yet.
"Marvels Avengers" (Felt Repetitive), "New Tales from the Borderlands" (Did not really enjoy the first chapter), "Shadow Warrior 3" (Finished this one, but it is short).
And probably gonna try Shadow of the Tomb Raider next (Got it a long time ago but my pc could not run it during that time)
Lastly still playing my F2P games, Pokemon Masters EX and Hearthstone. Not daily because I did not have much free time, but almost.
Lemushki - The one and only since the 2006 rebranding.
I have started playing a lot more Crusader Kings 3 and Victoria 3 here recently. I have a ton of single player games I should play, but due to school I find I rather spend my time playing other games with a more multi-player focus to them.

Having fun with Charrua Soccer for a while. Still sad about having a burnout on strategy games after leaving JA3 and Baldur's gate unfinished. Thinking about Starfield but i'm afraid it's gonna be a (repetitive) disappointment like No man's sky was.
If you are interested in a new(ish) formula for strategy games you should check out Great War: Western Front. I really enjoyed it and I found the swap between tile based strategy to real time tactical command was really rewarding.

Thanks, it looks interesting i have to say. Haven't really played WW1 games (due to lack of tanks :D ), but i'll really consider it. At least i found some steam keys at 13euros.
How's the replayability? Or is it a one hit wonder?
Its fairly replayable because you can change strategies, change factions, and change scenarios, however it won't be a hundred hours worth of content unless you just love the strategy.
