- Your "health" will be set to 20 at the start. This is called your Nexus.
- The player that goes second does not receive compensation for doing so.
Round Structure
- Every round you alternate actions with your opponent. They play a card, you play a card

- The player on offence gets to make a play. They can play a card, or attack.
- If they play a card, the defending player gets to play a card. Then they can choose to play a card or attack again.
- If they attack, defending player chooses blockers.
- There was also some sort of from hand buffs step going on during attacking.
Obtaining Cards
- You can purchase individual cards in the shop - no pack RNG!
Types of Spells
There are three types of spell cards.
- Slow Spells - Used before or after combat.
- Fast Spells - Used before, during, or after combat. Can queue up multiple in a row.
- Burst Spells - Used before, during, or after combat. If you cast one, your turn won't end!

Ah Nice there seems to come a mobile version (at least you can pre-register in Android). The only way I would be able to play the game. So curious how this works out...
I'll try it. Why not? Hearthstone will always be my fav though
This is the game that Artifact wants to be when it grows up.
Visually it looks similar to Artifact, but easier to see what is going on because everything is on a single screen. Mechanically, I guess it's closer to MtG, since you can assign blockers and react what the opponent is doing during a turn. It does have a mana curve like Hearthstone instead of lands, but with unspent mana being put into a separate pool that can only be used for spells.
I saw some RNG on cards, but not a whole lot. Probably less than HS, certainly less than Artifact with its random attack directions.
It's F2P, so more people are likely to try it out. You have some control over which region (class/color equivalent) you get cards from, so if you only play a particular type of deck, you can get only cards you need for that. I have no idea how competitive you can be without spending money, I guess it's too early to tell anyway since they can also re-tune the economy during the beta phase.
So yeah, it addresses the main concerns people had with Artifact.
Yeah, I had some interest in Artifact, but never got on board on launch because of the initial cost. And then after the first few weeks I heard all the complaints. The random attacks were also a huge problem for me. I get if characters are lined up against each other in Artifact, have them fight. But when you have an opening ahead of your character, why not let the player choose to either hit the tower or help defeat an enemy in the spot directly to their right/left?
Ultimately, very glad I didn't get Artifact. But any card game with a F2P model is a card game I'm willing to at least try out. Haven't been on it lately, but I was enjoying Eternal for a while, which honestly this is kind of a mix of HS and Eternal or MtG. But comparing one of those to this wouldn't have made for as funny of a joke.
YOU NEVER PAY FOR RANDOMIZED PACKS
Let's see how this goes
Whoa..
It'll be awhile before us common folks can play this game.
