  • Two days is all it took to become an absolute shitshow of playing the same netdecks over and over and over. Two days.

    • You act like this wasn't going to happen. An online TCG made by the same developers as LoL. Literally has so much backing by this huge company, a huge player base will instantly come and try it, and of course, we all immediately resort to all we know from other OTCGs, net/meta deck spam. Besides, the closed beta had given a lot of streamers time to find good decks, and now they're just being popularized on websites to these new players, which means you get more net deck spam. I mean, it's really not Riot's fault either, that's just how all TCG communities will be.

      • I haven't acted like anything, super defensive guy. And I haven't blamed Riot for anything.

I just logged in again and match one: that same bloody Braum deck. I'm not exaggerating when I say it or some variation of it is what I face 100% of the time. For Runeterra to degenerate to a one deck game so quickly is crazy, even by HS standards. It feels very much like Eternal in this regard.

On the plus side, it's got me playing HS again after a lengthy hiatus. So it's not all bad. :)

    • not different from HS or another TCG

  • Well here is what I managed day 1, after opening Lux and Braum in Prologue =)

  • Looking forward to trying this tomorrow but I don’t really know anything. I understand you get rewards geared towards specific regions. My question is, what region would be a good place to start

I asked the same thing before I started, and it prompted a big long discussion.  Here's the thing I discovered last night, though:

      • You need to go through the Prologue, which gives you cards from all regions, before dedicating yourself to a specific region
      • After the Prologue once you are dedicated, you can change you mind at any time--i.e., if you open some good champions for Demacia tomorrow, you could switch
      • You can also adopt a strategy of switching regions as soon as you level (will net you the most total cards but they'll be common quality) versus focusing a single region (fewer cards total, but you'll get higher quality including more champions)
      • Each level requires multiple games, so you'll have PLENTY of time to figure out what regions / decks you enjoy playing and how best to adjust your plans
      • That's a pretty useful list of advices you gave us - thanks

        +1

  • My first refined deck will be this probably because of x2 Elise from starter packs;

    Deck ID Not Found

I hope you will try and like the deck. :)

    • I'm running a similar list.I dropped fresh offerings and some skitterer in favor of Rhasa the Sunderer. He just end games and its easy to trigger in this deck. I also like Ravenous Butcher bc it helps triggering most of the deck and it's a not bad bodie.

  • looking forward to see the busted aggro decks and the control decks AKA no fun allowed decks. i believe theres some OTK decks potential from what ive heard?

    the options are endless

    • If you are going to play a "fun deck" A.K.A. "bad deck" then you are going to have to expect to lose to "boring decks" A.K.A. "good decks".

people just understood badly what i meant. control decks are No Fun Allowed but its for others, not for us playing those decks. I play control decks mostly and im already building the Ultimate Control deck created by swim. my no fun allowed expression was created by Zalae when he built a control warrior deck that could beat pre nerf galakrond shaman and during his streams he would check how many shamans werent having fun cause the deck was specifically tailored to beat them.

        • So, were you genuinely looking forward to seeing new decks? Or was that sarcasm and you are salty about how your homebrew decks are constantly being preyed on by "no brainer net decks"?

no sarcasm. im really looking forward to what decks can come up. i really dont understand how can that be understood as sarcasm. i only said control decks are no fun allowed decks cause thats what they mean for the opponent. i play control decks since forever back in Magic then in HS and now in LoR.

after my reply you seem to be still wanting to create some sort of feud here when there isnt one. let go of your anger

            • Sorry if I came across as angry, there are no ill feelings from me to you.

I imagine that a lot of people interpreted your first post as being like "Oh wow, I am so looking forward to all of the netdecking. All of those kill-you-on-turn-4 aggro decks. Ooh, and how about those you-can't-play-cards control decks. Also, all of those super interactive OTK decks. What fun."

The issue with the internet is that there is no tone of voice or body language or anything, so it can be very difficult to detect sarcasm.

  •

Pretty exited to have fun with this today! Good luck everyone, hope you guys have fun!

  • Ok ok... Let me finish job then I will come up with a deck.
