Your face is already dead
I lost a bet. So i had to use for game tags the name of an awful player from one of the top teams in my country's football league. I use too for this website
Mine is a weird one. It started with Club Penguin. It was an awesome Kids mmo, a shame that they closed it.
Anyway, when I created my account I had no creativity so I took the name from my buddy the showed me Club Penguin (Pizza035) and simply put a 2 at the end. I used that name a few Years before I had to create a new account for a website because I forgot my old Password.
And since I play a lot of games I swaped the "Pizza" with Suchti wich is the German word for addicted but I still kept the "0352" Part because playing Club Penguin was one of the best times of my live
I watched JJBA and then signed up while eating a bagel

I wanted YourPersonalNightmare on YT, but it was already taken so I settled for the next best thing.
Being an edgy preteen was fun
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
My Username is my rl Nickname.
Some Kid in Elementary Schools tried to bully me for my last name, so he came up with „Kötti". Didn't really bother me, so he repeated it as much as he could to get a Reaction, which then lead to others using that name (not to annoy me, they just thought thats my Nickname).
And now, more than 10 Years later, it feels weird if someone DOESN'T call me Kötti!

An amazing X-Men Villian in the first Movie :)
When I was a kid, I got called Tadpole a lot. After I got into college, I studied a lot of ancient cultures, especially ancient Greece and the Hydra was my favorite monster. Since I grew up from a Tadpole and I love Hydras.... Hydrafrog
Was a fantasy nerd, loved Griffins, still do. Played Dungeons and Dragons Online: Stormreach, made an elven mage, and played around wit the word until I came upon Griffior.
Twitch for those of you who care.
It's what the classic murloc noise is called in WoW's soundfiles - murlocaggrob to be more specific. I downloaded that for a video I was making when I was ten (it never left my desktop, so don't go searching for it), and I liked the ring it had.
A man is lying on the street, some punks chopped off his head
I'm the only one who stops to see if he's dead.
Hmm. Turns out he's dead.
Well my name comes from my WoW days :)
I created a Gnome and wanted to name him FieserFritz (German for Nasty Fritz) but the name did not work or was taken - can't remember so i messed around a little and came up with FieselFitz.
That name also sounded perfect for a Gnome and even if i use other Names on other platforms this Name is usualy my Username in any type of fantasy game :)
Challenge me ... when you're ready to duel a god!
Well, I got my username from here and here and here and here and here and here and from a couple of other places which are all just as amazing.
Carrion, my wayward grub.
I played Pokemon way too much, and Shuckle is one of my favourites. I love how stupidly polarised its stats are (insane defenses, terrible everything else), and liked the idea that even if it gets angry it is so pathetic at attacking that it cannot really do anything about it (the move 'power trick' notwithstanding).
I use the username as a reminder that no matter how angry I could get playing HS, I cannot do anything about whatever caused it, and nor can it actually do anything meaningful to me.
Then I made it super nerdy by using the nickname of the gift Shuckle from Cianwood city in Gold and Silver. 'Shuckie' is so thinly veiled that anyone who knows the Pokemon will know what I meant, and anyone equally nerdy as me will know what I really meant.
Nearly 20 years later, Valkyrie Profile remains one of my top 5 favorite games ever. Arngrim was one of the best (play and story-wise) einherjar, plus teenage me was really interested in various ancient mythologies so finding out there was a "real" Arngrim who was boss as hell (wiki below) cemented him as my go-to user name.

I enjoy Pathfinder in Apex Legends and Widomaker in Overwatch. They both use grappling hooks, which are awesome in my opinion. Although I've never played it, the art for the video game Shovel Knight is pretty cool. So I decided to combine my favorite video game weapon with an awesome title and there we go ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Gosh dang it, cards bad.
Pandaren is my favorite race in WoW because of their neutrality (they can choose to join Alliance or Horde, or even stay faction-less) and of course because of Po, the Kung Fu Panda. Combined with my favorite letter 'V' that can stand for both 'peace' and 'victory' and you got my name.
I dont like having the same name as other players so I combined two words to make this one. Shotgun + Resupply = Shosupply. First two talents I used in a game I played back then called natural selection.
O, that this too too solid flesh would melt
Thaw and resolve itself into a dew!
First character I ever made in WoW. Name stuck. Human Paladin.
Quick! Someone give me something clever to write here.
I think mine is pretty obvious.
I used other username but a friend at school started calling me Lemushki for some reason as my surename is Lema (in 2006) and since then i started using that name, as I really liked it and is Unique.
Lemushki - The one and only since the 2006 rebranding.
My name comes from my need to give a name to an otherwise unnamed character I was playing. I've always been into theater and was in a musical production of Narnia-- yes, that exists. I had the part of the evil dwarf sidekick to the White Witch. Since my character was just called "dwarf" in the script, I decided to give him a name. I had a huge crush on the girl playing the witch at the time and gladly accepted her suggestion that I name him "Goliath" for the sake of fun and irony. Later on, my younger brother talked me into making my steam account, and I opted to go with that name for the heck of it. I rather strongly identify with dwarfs in fantasy since they have great beards, appreciate good craftsmanship, and tend to enjoy singing. I'm also a bit on the short side, so that helps as well, lol. At any rate, I ended up making pretty much all my online accounts with the same name for the sake of easy identification. It's basically becoming my personal brand at this point and may even end up becoming a full-on character in some youtube videos in the future.
Official Lorekeeper and Spinner of Tavern Tales
I'm guessing you went with Grover as your avatar since he has a grapple move aswell

Mine is a combination of various inspirations. One time at school during an IT class, we had a chance to play some games together instead of learning programming. At the time, I didn't really have an online nick, as I mostly played single player games like Diablo 2 where you name your characters, not your account as a whole. So when the game put me on the spot and asked me to make up a name that instant, first thing that popped into my head back then was the name Marcus. A variation on my real name, but with a bit of a Roman flavour as I really dug ancient mythology at the time and Greece, Egypt and Rome were some of my favourite cultures. The name is also partially inspired by the sheriff of Broken Hills from Fallout 2, a supermutant, humanoid so big he could strap a damn gattling cannon to his forearm and carry it in one hand.
Not long after that I forgot the password to my old e-mail account so I created a new one. I wanted to use the name Marcus again but an e-mail address like that already existed, even xMarcusx, and since e-mails don't allow you to use brackets and I really like symmetry, I took inspiration from what we were learing in math class at the time (absolute values) and used lower case L's as brackets around my nick. Have used that ever since, unless that name is taken, in which case I use MarcusTheAbsolute (my YT account for example).
It was just something that popped up in my brain. Demons are cool, x and z are cool letters, and 95 is a cool number (despite not being my birth year number, that would be 99). I go through periods of loving it and hating it. It just reeks "teenage angst" despite myself not being very angsty when I was a teenager.
It's the username that I used on Sploder, which is a game-making website aimed primarily at children and teenagers, and one that I've been a staff member on for quite a few years now. The site is still online, but has been dead for quite a long time now. The community is still together on Discord though, and I'm there every day just hanging out.
When I made my HearthPwn account, I was too lazy to think of a different name, so I just used this one. It's kinda just become part of me. I use it here on OoC too for the sake of consistency.
Well, Neia is one of my favourite characters from the light novel Overlord. Its an inside joke that she’s pretty much the “pope” of a religion she kind of started, so yeah. I put the two words together and it kind of just stuck as my username for a lot of things after that as I liked the ring to it..
This ain't no place for a hero
Was making a trash account somewhere, needed a name, let my mind wander. For some reason recalled a daycare I passed on the way to my workplace at the time, 'Step By Step Childcare'. Removed some letters, moved things around a little... there y'go.
I see you when you're sleeping; I'm gone before you wake
I'm not as good as turn 4 Barnes; But I'm at least a Twilight Drake
I used to go by "suicidor", back in my Counter Strike days, because I always was the one who would sprint ahead, and once I died my team would know where the enemies were. Now I find that nickname a little too "on the nose", so I had to come up with something else.
Teuton now is my go-to name for any social networks. It has a slightly germanic ring to it, so it throws some people off when I go trolling the trolls on some right wing forums. Also it has a little rebel vibe to it, from the historic Teutons fighting the Romans back in the day.
Yep, love that guy too
Gosh dang it, cards bad.
In my old days of playing (and sucking at) LoL, I ran into a Veigar that was called Morky the Fucboi. He is, to this day, the only real entity that I still remember from that game. To me, Morky will always be the least threatening name ever, and I'll always have a soft spot for it.
Wind forward a few years and you'll find me modding Skyrim to become an absolute monster and tear apart everything in my way. The only thing missing is a name. Thus, Morkimus awakens.
Psst! Hey, you want to play a couple of fun (albeit pointless) gamebooks? Become a king here, and a babysitter here.
Nickname from childhood. Alfi is VERY unusual name here in Slovakia, but there was a child story about Alfi who learned how to tie his shoes. It stuck.
-=alfi=-
My full name is Nicolae Radu Stefan. Inspired by how my dad named his company.
My name comes from Ferrovax or Mr. Ferro whom was briefly introduce in the third book titled Grave Peril of an 20-something series called The Dresden Files.
My profile pic is Rory Williams as "The Last Centurion" from Doctor Who. Mr. Ferro went to the gathering(that he was introduced to both the readers and the MC of the seris) dressed as a Roman Centurion and Harry Dresden(the MC) gets a very distinct feeling that Mr. Ferro's outfit was authentic and not a costume.
I use Mister Ferro and the same pic everywhere.
I got mine a long way back, around 2006. A friend of mine used the name Fedrion as his DnD Human rogue alias, after our 4th DnD night his character died and he was looking for a name for a Paladin to join the party again, he couldn't made his mind and I said "Hertzeid or something like that, German sounding paladin" he liked the idea and used the name I came up.
He did impressive, his dice were on fire and his freaking paladin was critting every single time... But after that night he left the game and moved to another country with his mother.
So I've been Fedrion Hertzeid / Fedrion / Hertzeid in every game since then, except when I created my second LoL account named "MeatPancake" to break a friends win streak.
Papa Nurgle wants to share his gifts.
It's a tom waits lyric and the way i feel playing most games... "Small change got rained on by his own .38"
I'm a ginger, my wife is asian, and we always joked how funny (and extremely unlikely, though it does happen) that our offspring would be a ginger Asian. It was our name for the little tyke before we told the fam its gender. Still waiting to see whether or not his hair develops to be ginger. :P
Back in the days of WoW Vanilla I was the first on our server to get the Benediction staff. Since it looks like a golden shiny spoon, guild mates started to make jokes about it and in the end I made a ticket to GMs in order to switch name into Lightspoon (since I was an Holy Priest) because it sounds nice and was also pretty unique.
"For what profit is it to a man if he gains the world, and loses his own soul?"
do you mind if I ask what is your profile pic? it make me remember the milleniun eye from yugi-OH .
It's the Eye of Agamotto from the Dr.Strange comic (the original one, not the version used in the MCU).
"For what profit is it to a man if he gains the world, and loses his own soul?"
thanks gonna search for it
Our user story is that one place in Canada is Ontario that provides car related services.
We do heavy towing, flatbed towing, car lockout service, flat tire service, fuel delivery, battery boosting, radiator problem and jump start service.
My name comes from my WoW main (called Zwanezang) (which is now being ignored since I do not play WoW anymore). Back in the days I wanted a name with two ZZs in it and being easy to find your name in lists (its almost always the bottom one) and finally this name is dutch but also understood by a lot of other european languages.
Let me light the way.
Feel like I'm a bit late to the game but my username came from back when I would skype my friends to play games with them. I didn't (and still don't) have an actual headset and so because of that, when someone would talk, there'd be a bit of echo. Granted this isn't my first username, but it's been this way for about 10 years or so.
It's funny in my opinion because although that's how the name originated, it's always been applicable to me in some other way. Like now whenever I'm in a discord call or some other voice program since I still lack any way to prevent echo, I just type in a voice to mic channel. After a couple of times of doing this (and depending on how well I know the owner of the server), the channel becomes renamed to the "Echo Chamber" since it's just a wall of text from me, making it seem like I was just talking to myself the entire time. There's also the fact I don't like how my voice sounds and thus, don't talk a lot, resorting to using soundboard of people to talk when I have to, this being similar to the Greek myth where a nymph named Ekho (not the same spelling but it's close enough) can only repeat what others say to her, like a parrot, or in this case, like me repeating the words of a person using a soundboard.
I also just like how the name sounds, which I guess is important as well.
Edit: Oh and since some people are talking about profile pictures, mine is my dog, Percival. He's a very good boy
Cardboard wizard and dog haver.
I love RPG, Myth, etc. It's a common knowledge Undead is immune to almost anything, but they too have a weakness. Healing factor or holy water.
But what about Holy Undead? wouldn't that make said creature invincible? So there you go.
Knowledge is Power
My initials are D. R., so when I made a hearthstone account I tried to think of something that started with D and ended with R. My brilliant mind came up with “destroyer”. It was supposed to be DestroyeR, but I somehow mistyped it and never changed it.
My avatar is the art for The Twitch King (get it?), the only time I edited an art for a custom card. It also looks absolutely majestic.
