How many hours of play does it takes to grind full collection

I am 15k shards away from obtaining all 3 copies of every card, it will take around 600h of play over 2 and half months.
I played mostly ranked games and only spent expedition tokens from chests.
I believe the same is achivable by playing around 400h-500h or maybe even less then that by just focusing on quests, first win of the day, weekly chests and expeditions, but gaming less means it will take over a longer period of time to complete (5 months+)
i'll let you know once i get there, but i am planning to slow down a bit from now.
TLDR; Full collection = less then 600h of gameplay.

idk about full collection, but considering wildcards and shards for crafting all the top decks of the meta or at least every good card ( the bad cards are pretty obvious) i wouldnt even come close to those hours. ive been playing since day one and im sure that my average of time spent per day is around 90minutes.
so if im not mistaken, for around 90 days playing an average of 90minutes it means 135 hours.
Always expeditions only once per week with the free token im sitting at 40k shards with damacia region on lvl 20 and all others on lvl 16, around 60 common wildcards, 25 rares 10 epics and 2 champion wildcards still available and the top decks of the meta i might only be missing a couple of champions and around 20 cards from the others rarity which i can easily craft if not for the fact that i dont want to craft stuff from regions that arent maxed out.
I think you can do it in lot less, if you are good at expeditions, well, maybe not now since in a few days, the xp from expeditions will be nerfed 2nd time, but could have done it, i guess. Also depends on many other things, one person can max out on daily XP with a slower deck and win 80% of their games and another might max out with a faster deck where they win 50% of the games and do it faster than the first person.
I have no real idea how relative 600 hours is in this scenario, but i guess CG to a full collection anyway, lets hope you still like the game and can have fun. I know many ppl get fatigued out, if they grind just for the grind. So, good luck to you ;-)

Well, i just thought it would be nice to have a reference for how long it takes to compare it with other games, not that i was aiming for it anyway.
I am sure i played Hearthstone for at least over 5k hours (i believe its much higher then that), from open beta without ever missing any quests, 4 years straight. While i could craft every deck i wanted, i still missed a lot of legendaries and never, at any point, got close to own every card in the game.

LoR is meant to be fair for free to play players and it actually lives up to that promise.
However i feel like it supports staleness if everyone can play tier 1 decks on the spot and everyone who wants to play meta can do so.
Maybe its just my disgrace about netdeckers but I am up for any barrier that prevents people from copypasting the best decks.
Maybe I am completely wrong on that end since it is also easiert to build non meta decks without giving up the opportunity to build t1 decks.
All I know is that I wont be the netdecker and that I like to have access to any deck I want to create.
I hear you, mate. It just feels bad when you craft your own unique deck and then get matched up with an opponent playing a super optimized list copied from an online source. I'm not sure that there's a feasible solution to this problem (If you even look at it as a problem, which many people don't). Guess the most we can hope for is Riot continually working on balance and preventing 'broken' card combinations as much as possible.
I am currently 3 champions, 6 epics, 48 rares away from the completed collection. I am down to basically just weekly chests from Riot. Which makes it nice since I have only grind maybe 15 hours a week to fill the vault. It took my around 150 hours to get to this point. To be fair and full disclosure. I had my friend and myself go into private games and FF every day for the experience. It made for fast XP collecting. Riot has nerfed this. Unfortunately.
Mission complete!
Full collection attained, 3 of every single card!!!
2k5 shards left + 3 champion wildcards + 36 common wildcards
Start: January, 25.
End: April, 19.

Congrats Helicopter, congrats you have 11 days to enjoy before you collect more cards. Took me around the same amount of time 10 weeks.
It's kinda of an awkward metric, since going 90% -> 100% probably takes as much time as going from 0% -> 50%. Using myself as an example: I'm pretty casual (~10 hrs/week, always hit Vault Rank 10 but usually not much higher), and most of my capsules are ~80% duplicates, yet I discovered last week that I'm still 1:3 on Assembly Bot and Shroom Peddler.
But then again: I've been playing HS since Boomsday and before this no-duplicates change I was 0:2 on Flame Imp, so /shrug.
Same here, collection complete last week,
5k4 shards, 5 champion wilds + 2 rare + 21 common
-started on Feb 4th
Didn't pay anything, (except for time of course...)
