Fabulous post, you have denoted out some fantastic points, I likewise think this s a very wonderful website. I will visit again for more quality contents and also, recommend this site to all. Thanks.IPTV EN LIGNE
While the story and atmosphere of Tainted Grail are indeed excellent, mechanically it has some issues, in my opinion. As you start, the combat system is relatively complex and a lot of combos are impossible to trigger because your characters have insufficient stats. Maybe this was intentional to emphasize that the player characters were a choice of desperation, but it doesn't feel great to play.
Combat gets better as you progress in the story and unlock stat upgrades, skills and useful items. But as you progress to later story chapters, the encounter decks become more monster-heavy, which has the side effect of providing more XP but less food, which means you'll have to fight more often to gather enough food and will get loads of XP. So where the early game was difficult and slow to progress, the mid-game is grindy but not as tense.
We also had an issue where we took a wrong turn on the map: we investigated an area where we could only discover things in later chapters. However, this wasn't clear until we had spent all our resources and were stuck in a place where it was impossible to recover them. So we had to revert back to the start of the chapter and explore in a different direction.
That said, when the game does work, it is awesome, full of gritty descriptions and difficult choices. We will likely finish the game for its story, although I don't think I'd be up for a second playthrough. Maybe other people feel the same way, in that case getting a second hand copy for a more reasonable price might be an option for you. While the game has legacy elements, that's implemented as deck building and one double-sided paper record sheet, so it should be easy enough to reset a game to its starting state.
The four-player limit is a hard limit though: the player characters all have dedicated story content, so even if you could mechanically fit in a fifth player, they would just be a sidekick without a story line.
I'm pretty confused by this game getting a remake. I know it's already been 7 years, but imo remaster should happen for really old titles or after you've at least launched a couple more games and you've got a really killer reason to do so.
I don't want to take anything way from the developers, but it feels kinda lazy.
It seems "Awakened Realms", the publisher of the Tainted Grail board game, have a particular mold and plan to stick to it: games that are 1-4 players only, expensive, well-made, and well-written. The latter half of that description is great; the former...not so much 🧐
I looked into their other games, namely the "ISS Vanguard" spaceship cooperative campaign, and whatever else appeared on Amazon: all the best looking ones tap out at 4 players. Not to mention ISS Vanguard is $160 on Amazon! I can't justify that, even with my family's liberal board game purchases in the past.
The Season Pass is also 67% off until the 13th, and it includes Venom, Deadpool, Storm, and The Mighty Morbin Power Ranger Morbius. Might be worth it at about 16 Euros.
Marvel's Midnight Suns is a great game; one of my favorite Marvel games period. If you can just get over the fact that the heroes use cards to activate abilities, you'll find a cool, tactical experience. It didn't bother me at all, but I know some complained about that in the past.
This is such a great resource that you are providing and you give it away for free. I love seeing blog that understand the value of providing a quality resource for free.link alternatif resmi iosbet
For reference Elden Ring itself is 48 GB. that's about a 1/4th of the whole main game as dlc. Waaay bigger than just Limgrave. And this isn't counting reused assets.
Still going with AC. Brotherhood incredibly, had really no time for games with work this last two months.
Today I am planning on checking out Hogwarts Legacy's mini summer update.
If everything goes well, this coming week I should be able to play a little bit more and if possible will include some NFS Unleashed, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure All-Star Battle R and Minimotorways into the mix as playing mostly just Hearthstone and Pokemon Masters on the way work and AC Brotherhood is getting repetitive.
Still hoping I finish AC:Brotherhood and delve into horizon zero dawn
Edit before posting: Forget the "Mini" on Hogwarts Legacy. Content wise it will be little but size wise....
I just finished T.H. White's The Once and Future King for the first time. Disappointed that I took so long to get to it; it's really freaking good. The Sword in the Stone is the best of the four books, but they all hold up and incidentally serve as an introduction to Arthurian myth. I also really liked two newer books from Adrian Tchaikovsky - City of Last Chances and House of Open Wounds - they're epic fantasies with some rich worldbuilding and a sprawling cast of characters (for real, I think City didn't repeat a viewpoint character for the first third of the novel) and I saw that a third is coming out (or is already out) so I'll have to check it out ASAP.
For classics, in the past couple months I read (and adored) Les Miserables. It's very long, but the minute-to-minute read rarely felt like a slog. I also got into Crime and Punishment, which is also (obviously) very good. If you haven't read it and have a chance to check out the translation by Michael Katz, I would recommend it - he made the book very approachable.
Right now I've checked out from the library The History of the Hobbit by John Rateliff; it's a deep dive into the various manuscripts Tolkien put together in the two-ish years he spent writing The Hobbit and breaks down not only how the book itself changed throughout the process (fr/ex: Gandalf was originally the name of the lead dwarf and the wizard's name was Bladorthin) but also Tolkien's many real-world influences from Norse myth, Old English lit, etc. Very cool, but very very long.
By my calculations I have a few more months before I want to start a full re-read of the Stormlight Archive in preparation for Wind and Truth. It might be excessive, but I know there'll be some references or things I've missed in the earlier books that I'll catch this time through. I've got a few books I want to read in the interim, so I'll get cracking on those.
With TTYD in the rearview, more or less, I've realized I need to flex my Elden Ring muscles again in time for Shadow of the Erdtree. I am very rusty, and that'll be no-bueno heading into a new environment that's expected to be even more of a challenge from the outset! Need to decide soon how I want to proceed:
Start over and get ready that way: probably means I won't be "on time" for Shadow of the Erdtree, but it could provide some buffer time for patches and general information to spread around the interwebs.
Just be more thorough on my current playthrough, collecting stuff I'll presumably want for the DLC.
Not much to contribute on my end, but I did read something lately so I guess that counts: "The Worlds of Borderlands", an encyclopedia-esque book about the Borderlands video game series. I guess I would classify it as "nonfiction for a fictional world", but it's got humorous descriptions on brand with the series at large and that's a plus for me. I hope to use the information with my Bunkers & Badasses rulebook to make more authentic tabletop adventures set in that universe!
I don't doubt it in the slightest: the DLC is supposed to be the size of Limgrave - the large starting zone - but packed with even more stuff. Over 100 new weapons, too, plus other gear and whatnot!
Yeah they’ve got a ton going on! I hope the next league rocks because necropolis definitely hasn’t felt like a “I want to play this the whole time” league and the population generally agrees.
I'm a bit thankful they delayed the beta though because stuff is way too chaotic right now lol

Dashing into enemies via a shield-slam before blasting them with a faceful of shotgun? That's like two of my favorite things! I am all about this lol

Civilization VII to be Officially Announced Soon, Accidentally Leaked
I don't care about another Civilization! I wanted Borderlands! Boo!
Kinda crushing, to be honest. Civilization always feels like more of the same, to me: I own 4 and 5, so do I really need 6, let alone Civ 7? No.
