Its probably the strongest card rogue will be getting this miniset.
It value trades above its cost, presents a threat of 4 damage to face that cannot easily be dealt with, and has stealth - which means your opponent has to actively play around this until its either removed or de-stealthed.
The only problem is where to fit it. In weapon rogue, I suspect, would be the best home. Its negligible in mine rogue, and you'll never mulligan for this in thief rogue. Pirate rogue is the next best guess, but Im doubtful.
Honest to god, this is a bad card. Clever Disguise is basically its superior predecessor and even it didn't push thief rogue up the top, and that was at a time where Bazaar Burglary and Vendetta existed
The one thing this card does that is of any value would be that it guarantees big spells, which may or may not be decisive (imagine getting Rune of the Archmage out of this thing) and then combining it with either tess or Contraband Stash.
But for its lack of consistency, rogue's poor stability options, strong burn options, and the fact that this card practically does nothing, its really very, very low on the priority list. Not even Swiftscale Trickster can elevate this poor card - why'd you play trickster in thief rogue is yet to be established.
Its a core card in deathrattle rogue, but the problem now being is the lack of good deathrattles.
As it stands, the best targets would be something like Burning Blade Acolyte, eggs, or anything with larger deathrattles than the original minion. But as we all know, these are hardly good cards on their own nowadays, so what is this card actually trying to accomplish?
Its not even a good fit in mine rogue, because you dont want to pop your mines without having first played Snowfall Graveyard. So like many cards in that deck (too many in my opinion) you're holding on to cards in hope of drawing specific combos. Never a good thing.
Still, as a core card in a hypothetical deathrattle rogue, it must still be respected. But for now, its just a bad card. You cant even play this on turn 1 because most rogues are currently running Wildpaw Gnoll. Sad.
Meh, combo decks that win by doing a specific amount of damage never last in a world where Armor Vendor and Druids exist. If all it took was playing 32 something damage from hand to win, then Malygos Druid would be a tier 0 deck. Besides, that deck absolutely crumpels under any amount of early pressure, which the format is filled with ATM. I do not expect it to last long.
Edit: After beating nearly every Mine Rogue I came across, I decided to try the deck out myself to see why it suddenly got so popular. I love it. It is absurdly good, as long as you don't queue into a Pirate Rogue lol
Mine Rogue is also present in Standard, although it typically kills you in 2 or 3 stages rather than all at once. I don't know if a 1 mana reduction will be relevant in Wild, but the insta-proc could enable some lethal combos.
Herald of Light - Inherent combo with Northshire Cleric, but in my opinion its just not worth it because Gift of the Naaru plays that role better. Perhaps it'll see some play in quest or highlander, but in most other cases you'd just play gift of narru.
Disarming Elemental - Im not entirely sure why'd anyone be playing this card. Seems like a highlander card, because its disruption but in a way that's simply too inconsistent to ever be good enough in constructed play.
Drown - It may be a cheaper Entomb but its also 4 mana to remove a threat, where Shadow Word: Death only costs 2. Probably get it off discover effects more often than actually included into a deck.
There's a deck that's been floating in wild recently called Mine rogue. Basically, it aims to burn down your opponent by triggering Naval Mine Deathrattle multiple times.
Shattershambler does everything that the deck wants, cost reduction and a way to destroy your mines. It has the potential to break wild so I'm kinda worried. Maybe it's not that good since you don't always want to destroy your own mine so that you can activate it with Necrium Blade.
Drown looks very strong. And as it's a shadow spell I can put it in my raza shadow priest deck. I really missed entomb in that deck, so drown will fit the spot very nicely.
The dredge for your opponent looks like and interesting mechanic, but more than an anti-agro tool I really can't think of anything else. Well maybe it's nice to know what kind of cards your opponent has, but as most ppl play meta decks it's typically pretty obvious anyway...
Pirates are finally getting some casters. Jolly good. I doubt it's practical, but it would be neat if there was a way for Hooktusk or Patches to interact with Eudora's cannons somehow, since both characters are affiliated with cannons.
I'm also keen to see what Maestra ends up doing. There's no way they would include her if she didn't have some weird disguise mechanic again.
Some much-needed love and support for Control/Questline Priest. The deck has been sorely lacking early removal since Hysteria rotated. It's also thankfully a Shadow spell and not a Nature spell, so Spirit Guide can pull it unlike stupid Whirlpool.
It's definitely comical how hard this creeps Entomb, but that's fine. People don't often play one big threat and leave it there like they did frequently back in the day. You need something a bit more reactive to compete.
Does this go into Naga Priest or not. Healing for 6 is strong, especially on this mana-cost and it should be fairly easy to activate. Naga Priest is already really good at just stacking stats that can't be killed in a ssingle turn and this invalidates any poke damage.
It's a better Entomb (which wouldn't see play today, but still) and it's the only single-target removal spell Priest will ever need for the forseeable future and since it goes to the bottom of your deck it won't even mess up your draw if you have to remove something useless (like Nellie's ship).
ONce again though, it only really fits Quest Priest, which is a terrible deck, but at least it sets up future control decks for success.
Both of those rely on not running many spells though, so it would be difficult to make a deck that both benefits from Front Lines and doesn't completely fold after only being able to play weapons in the first few turns.

All for memes, zero for wins.

No quests
It got fixed after 2-3 days. Probably lost a few quests, but no big deal.
I've heard the new exp launched, but why I don't see refreshed rewards screen? Just nothing new to progress there.

Seriously. I get that priest is struggling right now but why can't they print strong cards without them being annoying.

Like I needed more reasons to hate Priest lol. Not sure how drowning constitutes being a Shadow spell, but sure.

Yeah...they might need to un-buff Serpent Wig..

Really strong. Fucks up their next draw and potentially removes one card from play by making it ureasonably expensive.
Unfortunately it doesn't go into any deck except Quest Priest which is probably still bad.

To be fair, it has been almost 7 years since Entomb was printed. Considering everything else that got power creeped since then, I'm not surprised.
