It got fixed after 2-3 days. Probably lost a few quests, but no big deal.
I've heard the new exp launched, but why I don't see refreshed rewards screen? Just nothing new to progress there.
If you mean the region roads, they won't be updated in the future anymore. They talked about it in the patch notes:
"We’re adding more free nodes to Event Passes (without increasing the overall time required to complete them), and we’re no longer going to be extending Region Roads. This change should allow established players to continue earning free rewards during events, and newer players can benefit from both the existing region roads and the expanded selection of free nodes on Event Passes."
I think it's a complete rework of how the node works; in other words, Portal, Sabotage, Spud and Stranger will no longer appear.
Now you'll have a 50/50 chance of either getting a slight impairment (probably a negative version of the boons, e.g. "-5 attack to your fighters"), or bonus coins (I'm guessing similar to how the Stranger currently gives you coins when you're full up on tasks).
Overall, I feel this new version is better, because even the 'beneficial' results of the current version could complicate your run significantly (an early Portal could leave you underpowered for the final encounter, for instance). Of course, if you don't want to take any risks, just try to avoid Mystery Nodes from the start.
I do wish the game would give you the option of skipping over the Mystery Node altogether before its effect is revealed -- that would satisfy everyone: risk-averse players could just ignore it, and those who want to gamble could take a chance on gaining extra coins for their team.
They already confirmed 8 new mercs, which is only a fraction of the total mercs they are going to release with this patch. That you are even thinking that they are only adding 2 new mercs this patch shows how terribly Blizzard communicated that this is the major merc patch of the expansion.
The Mystery Node rework described above precludes the Mysterious Stranger being available unless the description was inaccurate. Mysterious Stranger isn't a bonus that appears at the end of the Bounty as that description holds.
Sounds fun! Glad I've been saving up Mercenaries packs (currently have 45) to bag those new Mercs and, hopefully, plenty of their coins. This seems to indicate that only those 2 Mercs will drop this week, while the other anticipated Mercs will follow in the coming weeks or months? If that's the case, how many packs should I open vs. how many to save for the next drop?
To be fair, Clownfish's art does not seem to the too Warlock-y, but at the same time it doesn't change the fact that Gul'dan should receive more fishy support.
Reading this prediction article now (from the future) I chuckled with the fact that Clownfish was dead on aside going to Shaman but Avalon did said it doesn't look like a warlock card, well he was right 😜
Realistically, HearthStation was more of a beta test than anything and while I have addressed it in the past, I do consider the official birthday of Out of Cards to be when Out of Cards first came online.
I'd love for us to have a larger focus on MTG. The reality is though we just don't have anyone that is able to cover it from a news perspective. I'd love to change that of course because there's a lot of content that happens with that game from just the news side of things, nevermind the wide variety of decks thanks to so many different formats.
Our forums are going to receive an increased focus though across the board in the future. We just need to improve sending people to a place to have discussions and the forums are a great place for that.
Wow, time flies! It's cool to see your excitement for the future of OoC and OoG. The new logo looks great, and I hope Derpcorn remains... as the favicon. Here's to many more years until we all run Out of Time!
There would have to be a new way to trigger the task chain for a given character -- otherwise, one would be forced to rely on daily random procs, which is practically impossible. That feature is the most important one that we'd need to know about.
It is possible to do this with a Murloc opener and few losses.
I stumbled upon this solution when first determining that if you get the Start of Game Murloc stat bonus treasures and stack them, you can possibly kill the cart on round 1. This was a poor plan. First of all, Murky has absolute shit treasure design and his selections are full of awfulness, while several other Murlocs also have bad treasures, meaning you'll have to retire several runs a quarter-in due to simple bad rolls. Second, summons don't get the bonus, which makes hitting the requisite attack values extremely difficult.
But this leads us to the actual strategy here: fill the board. Use the Murky item that lets him Battlecry Murloc summons and give him the treasure that reduces cooldowns -- or give it to Old Murk Eye. Either way, summon something on Round 1. None of your attacks matter -- just don't lose any units.
The cart will attempt to switch sides -- then immediately shatter because your board is full.
I had no idea that switching units suicided rather than smash one of your minions. For one thing, that makes Hot Potato actually very rarely useful, which is shocking. But here, it means you instantly jump to phase two of the fight.
I used Murky, Old Murk-Eye, and Morgl the Oracle. Murk-Eye needs to have the Divine Shield while attacking item. The rest of my comp was Nature: Malfurion Stormrage, Guff Runetotem, and Cookie, the Cook (4 Murlocs were used because, again, I was originally fishing for that stat-bonus treasure and needed to maximize the number of instances.)
On turn two, since the cart is smashed, Cooler will go into murder mode. Use Murky to divine shield-up your minions (Nature combo with Morgl) and Morgl to keep Murk-Eye healthy as he is your only real damage. Morgl can, and likely will, fall to Popsicooler. Malfurion comes out to entangle Popsicooler, giving you more time to beat it down. Confection Cyclone is your next target.
(If you're using a different method to lock down Popsicooler for longer than just one round, destroy Confection first -- it stacks Frost damage.)
If the new addition to the mysterious node is true, then it makes it even less sensible to ever want to go get it. Now that stranger grinding is near non-existent, what further motivation other than masochism to even bother about the node anyway? The reward bonus has got to be really extraordinary, otherwise there's no sense risking a cursed treasure - or even worse still, hot potato.
Book of heroes would be interesting. Wished they released this much earlier when the meta was stale.
Interesting. Should I read "impersonating" as something that gets muddled up in translation, and really just means you have a choice of hero to use? I assume the 3 characters would be Faelin, Ini and Finley so the story is effectively the same throughout, just with different decks. Though I'd love it if we actually got genuinely different perspectives of the same events through the eyes of VttSC's 3 faction leaders: Faelin, Hooktusk and Aszhara.

I think it's probably the least useful card of the three, but I love the concept and art for K9-Otron
