You put that extremely well, link. The lack of real guild content in the game didn't give us that extra bit of engagement! Seasons are definitely boring and the weekly rotation of families does have its flaws. I was very lucky when I had started that I picked the right hero because my shop rotation worked out well and I was able to scale power quickly with that and the dungeons. Not to mention the thousands of gold I received for server problems that went right into the primary army.
I really should have touched on passives. The mechanic is super shitty and I've been lucky enough that I don't feel like I've bricked any units, but it's clearly a problem that people are having. I was thinking the game might have a heavy Pay to Win element with you getting all the abilities at the same time once you leveled up enough, so I suppose I'm a little thankful that is not the case.
I still have some hope that more might happen with it. Until then though, yeah I'm just not feeling it anymore.
Seems slow. But could be really good if you can trigger the Deathrattle two or three times on the same copy, thereby increasing your chances of drawing it again with doubled stats.
Set the Health of some big minion to 1 and get whatever Health it had? Cool. High-Health Taunt minions are usually good, and this only costs 4 Mana, so it won't take your whole turn.
Because "Honorable Kill" was a Fractured in Alterac Valley keyword. So this draws you a card if you can trade this into something with exactly 4 Health, then you can draw another card if there's something with 1 Health to trade the Mini into. I'm not sure that's all that great, or how long you would end up holding this for that opportunity on average.
There will probably be some decks that can play this for free by turn 10. Can't feel bad about throwing down 8/8 worth of stats for absolutely nothing.
Most you'll likely get out of this is a board full of random 4-Cost minions, then it dies next turn because it only has 3 Health. Maybe your board doesn't get wiped along with it, and you can buff it for a win the next turn.
I think I quit the game without leaving the guild or telling anyone, which is usually a big No-No in my book lol :/ It's pretty rude to take up space in a guild while they await the return that's not happening...but I made the guild, so I guess I felt bad for stopping.
Ultimately, I spent way too much to fuel my enjoyment of Warcraft Rumble, and when I finally said "No more!" to that front, it became stale *super* quick. As far as I know they still don't have Raids in. I wanted a new objective to work on, something to engage with the other guild members, and Raids could've been that; instead, it's just one forever "Coming Soon!" message that'll never arrive in time to salvage things. The Seasons are boring with only one new addition every six weeks; if the effort spent unlocking the new mini doesn't align well with the family of the week, you're screwed from improving that new unit for a long-ass time. Not to mention the whole "I picked the wrong passive and thus bricked this unit" bullshit.
Between Hearthstone, Marvel Snap, and Warcraft Rumble as my "log in, do missions/quests, log out" games, Rumble was the clear loser on that front in regards to my interest levels. I barely play the other two as it is, so...yeah. I pruned Rumble from my life so I could play other games without feeling compelled to play something I wasn't enjoying anymore.
I was so excited for Skyward Sword since I didn't finish the original one, I even bough the special Zelda Joy-Cons they released for it. But I never ended up getting to carve out enough time for it. Zelda just isn't one of those games I want to play for half an hour at a time so it got tossed aside. Sigh.
That's good to hear the motion controls are easy to recalibrate should stuff get wonky. Nothing better than slicing your sword at enemies!
Congratulations to Lemushki, sule, and anchorm4n for winning the giveaway! You have all been sent emails and private messages with instructions on how to claim your prizes. Here are their winning entries:
This is interesting: The first half of Tarim is obviously going to be used as a buff for a smaller friendly minion, and the second half as a debuff for an enemy minion. A neat little two-for-one for aggro pally; I think there's a ton of gas for that archetype so I'm fairly certain we'll be seeing this guy around. (sidenote: one of the great tragedies of Baku-era standard was that Odd Paladin was so good that the obviously busted 6-Cost Tarim was close to an afterthought).
Since we can't preview the vote, instead, here's anchorm4n's comment!
Weird stats on this one. Obviously a hand wide buff can't be too cheap, but why not skip the Lifesteal and give it Windfury instead? Or just reduce the cost a bit… I'm not sold on this one.
Also, fun fact! Anchorm4n is one of the only people who has contributed articles to the website as a non-staff member. Graveyard Deathrattle Rogue was a hell of a deck. We really need to bring back wild Wednesdays.
I am dumb. Didn't read the instructions closely. Took a couple of turns to figure I was missing something. The names of the offered minions are on the spell cards. Match the spell card name with the minion. Some I could do from memory, others I had no idea so I used Google and searched the name which, generally, brought up the image. That let me complete it in just enough time before the rope expired. Might be difficult to do on tablet or mobile, though. Would be fun for those 'old hands' who have been around since the beginning; not so much for newish players. Still, something new for the Tavern, which we have been asking for for a long time. Good job.
Thanks for keeping us informed - twice this week I passively accumulated loot while at work thanks to you guys' heads up Can't wait for expansion launch already!!
New Neutral Minion - Card Grader
Seems pretty nice. Easy to activate in the right deck, and you can probably get a card that will help you. If not that turn, maybe soon.
New Neutral Minion - Clearance Promoter
Discounting two spells. That should be pretty good in most spell-heavy decks.
New Neutral Minion - Giggling Toymaker
More Annoy-o-Trons. That's what we need. They might be a little annoying to remove, but probably not much more than that.
New Neutral Minion - Forgotten Animatronic
At 5 Mana, I'm not sure how many minions with less than 4 Attack anyone cares about losing.
New Neutral Minion - Origami Frog
The twin of Origami Crane. Find something with more Attack than a minion you want to kill has Health, then trade.

Seems slow. But could be really good if you can trigger the Deathrattle two or three times on the same copy, thereby increasing your chances of drawing it again with doubled stats.
What Switch games has everyone been playing recently?
Been playing Super Mario Wonder. Still gotta get those Wonder Seeds. Wonder and Odyssey are both super great games for the system.
As for other games, I have recently beaten Bomb Rush Cyberfunk. So much fun and definitely a worthy successor to Jet Set Radio.
New Neutral Minion - Origami Crane
Set the Health of some big minion to 1 and get whatever Health it had? Cool. High-Health Taunt minions are usually good, and this only costs 4 Mana, so it won't take your whole turn.
New Neutral Minion - Nostalgic Gnome

So this draws you a card if you can trade this into something with exactly 4 Health, then you can draw another card if there's something with 1 Health to trade the Mini into. I'm not sure that's all that great, or how long you would end up holding this for that opportunity on average.
New Neutral Minion - Nostalgic Clown
Shouldn't be too hard to activate the Battlecry on this. It will be nearly impossible not to with the Mini version.
New Neutral Minion - Playhouse Giant
There will probably be some decks that can play this for free by turn 10. Can't feel bad about throwing down 8/8 worth of stats for absolutely nothing.
New Neutral Minion - Li'Na, Shop Manager
Most you'll likely get out of this is a board full of random 4-Cost minions, then it dies next turn because it only has 3 Health. Maybe your board doesn't get wiped along with it, and you can buff it for a win the next turn.

New Neutral Minion - Giftwrapped Whelp
Welp, this is going in every dragon deck from now until rotation.
New Neutral Minion - Scarab Keychain
Probably not that great. I'm not sure about the chances of you getting a good card to play from this, and the body is terrible.
New Neutral Minion - Tar Slime
This might be decent. I think Tar Creeper was pretty good, and this is much like that.
New Neutral Minion - Tar Slime
A decent Arena card, but that's about it. Too defensive to be used anywhere else.
