I missed the update where you are being forced to play exclusively Rogue after you aquire Legendary rank. Seriously, is there anyone in Standard Legendary NOT playing rogue?
very weird, while in my case, it was like 7 out of 10 games with Pirates Warrior. And trust me when I say I had enough, so I went full Freeze Shaman to counter it. Maybe next season climb I get to face more Rogue then.
Is this some kind of rants? Because I read this and felt something happened in your games, that you immediately tried to objectified everything here.
I mean, it's a different kind of fun for everyone else. I'm having fun when I played a decisive match because some aggro can't no longer 'aggroing' their deck against my heavy taunts deck.
So, if you think you're the only one having fun, I must say, you're probably wrong.
Compared to all the filthy things meta decks are slinging right now they aren't that strong. Trust me they don't help a lot.. try it before you say it.

No, rank 3 and above is full of rogues too Got like 4 in a row
Region identity is not based around a single mechanic but rather strength and weakness :
...
Finally it's not a realistic expectation to think that every champion is going to fit withing the confine of region identity, Demacia for example is supposed to be a anti magical, combat oriented region but many of their remaining champions are mages ( Sona, Sylas, Morgana )
This is exactly what I thought Riot believed, and is fundamentally the problem I tried to highlight in my original post. Regional identity takes a backseat to champion identity, which in turn leads to regional pair identities to ensure each Champion has enough support for their gameplan. It dilutes the unique feeling of any given region and weakens deck-building.
I'd also like to challenge you a bit on this idea that these remaining champions can't fit their regions simply because there's some surface-level clashing of themes. Demacia is all about nullifying magic, the righteous pursuit and striking down of their enemies, and winning on board with challenge and smart trades. With that in mind, consider this design that I just threw together for Morgana:
To be very clear, I didn't make much of an effort to think about balance here, I just wanted to flesh out how you might translate her LoL abilities to a Demacia card that's still honest to the region's identity.
Her Black Shield power becomes a Support SpellShield. There's not much SpellShielding in Demacia, but it's thematically relevant and clearly splashes in a bit (Captain Arrika, and sort of Towering Stonehorn). It fits the anit-magic themes and pushes the player to enter combat. Her Soul Shackles ability becomes a Grant Vulnerable for champions at Level 2. Vulnerable is another keyword that doesn't show up in Demacia, but since it's the inverse of Challenge and focused exclusively on champions it's still suitable to fit what Demacia does (i.e. targeted trades), and it fits better with the behavior of the LoL ability. Finally, her Dark Binding causes an enemy to strike itself, fitting with the fantasy of the ability and Demacia's common keywords (on the LoL website, it's described as "forcing them to feel the pain they've caused").
So, this is a mage/support card in Demacia that still highlights an anti-magic theme and pushes the player to engage in board-based combat, but is different enough to feel special/different from the more hardcore combat champions of Demacia without being so rooted in its own arbitrary abilities that it can't function without tons of specific card packages. It's not a perfect 1-to-1 translation of Morgana from LoL to LoR, but it does a good job without muddying Demacia's strengths and weaknesses, and it's a card that has broad enough application (by virtue of being a Champ killer) that it could see play in a variety of decks/archetypes.
I second the comments above, please keep this series going! I love reading the deck analysis and game plans and feel like it helps me be a better player. There’s still plenty of Wild players out there trying to be creative and try out ridiculous things
I'd like to make a Xavius Prime, but I'm too busy now to come up with good 'Prime' effect.
Sorry, I'll try to leave feedback tomorrow.
EDIT: no, I'll make feedback now. From last to first.

About new version. .. So nightmare Ysera still summon treans? IDK. Previous version which destroy all minions was better imo. But leave new hero power.
AeroJulwin
Card is nice and clear. One thing - maybe it is not so flavorful in terms of the emerald nightmare.
Wailor
While you can Silence or just trade Xavius with minions and evade damage from its ability, you can do nothing with this spell. And what if it was played twice? Double damage when spend mana? I think minion is better. I'm right, isn't it?
BasilAnguis
Two turns Immune minion is OP imo.
TheHoax91
Its not clear. Dormnant hero can play cards or use hero power? If not, then this is too OP. If yes, then … never mind.

I play decks that take actual thinking like Thief Rogue, Handlock, and Menagerie DR DH. You play decks that take simple computing like Pirate Warrior, Elemental Shaman, and Face Hunter.
I am a human. You are a robot.
What piques my interest when a new set comes out are cards that look enjoyable and can lead to different paths each game. What you care about is which are over-tuned and will lead to 100''s of repetitive games.
I am a human. You are a robot.
When I net-deck something that looks good I'm happy to throw in a few cards I find fun, and I still win. You among millions shudder at the thought of deviating from the list.
I am a human. You are a robot.
When I win with my deck I know that I had a lot to do with it. When you win with yours, trust me it was more the deck.
I am a human. You are a robot.
I play Arena because it's fresh every time and takes some skill to get far in. You play Duels with the same 15 cards every time in every class; playing against other robots and whoever gets the more busted treasures and passives wins.
I am a human. You are a robot.
I put enjoying myself playing a video game above winning while you are a sad android that can't stand to lose.
I'm not sure that's what's going on here. I encourage you to keep the original Battlecry. It turned a strong summon into a perhaps even more powerful destruction. It fits the prompt perfectly, turning the effect around in a evil and (often) profitable way, similar to Circus Medic. I should have mentioned this in my original feedback, but my feedback tends to get pretty long, so I often focus on improvements.
I enjoy cards that are a bit more out there and have unique effects. Those cards do make it to the finals, but in my experience, it tends to be the saver (whatever that means) cards that win. But I don't think you should let that limit your creativity. And most certainly don't mistake your own creativity for ego.
Thank you for your encouragement! I'm doing my best for the time being even if I can't live up to Swizard's standards in creativity. Right now I'm searching the web each week for something interesting that isn't a complete meme to begin with and features a class that hasn't been on the series so far. Maybe someone more apt at deckbuilding might pick up the torch in a more interesting way, we'll see what the future holds.
I wouldn't say the deck as it is is tier 1, but it's definitely working. If you think you can't afford playing the rod just do the alternative combo with Vol'jin or Phylactery. Usually you'll find a moment to sneak it out though, like on a Plague of Flames turn later in the game. There's also an argument to be made that QL Hunter and QL Pirate Warrior play 5 mana do nothings on a regular basis ;-)
Wow, I really have nothing for this one so far. I've submitted a card for every comp so far, and I'm not going to let this one be the first one that I don't enter. For the Christmas comp, I ended up having to submit a card I made in less than a minute without any feedback and I surprisingly made it to the finals with it, so I guess that may happen here as well.
But here's a follow-up to my original feedback.
BasilAnguis
I'm going to have to agree and say that two turns of immunity is quite strong. Druid can easily just choose a meaningless 1/1 token to make Dormant almost completely negating the downside and then buff the Immune minion. Immune in general is a touchy keyword to explore because it can easily become problematic. It also feels a bit weird in flavor as well.
R
I do realize that bending Druid's flavor and mechanical identity is a necessity for this comp, but this definitely steps over the line. I suppose it makes sense flavorfully, but having a card that is very heavily Demon-centric in a class without Demons (other than Imprisoned Satyr), even if it's not requiring you to actually use them in your deck, feels very strange.
Wailor
Solid idea, but I think the strength of these cards can be increased since they're both entirely reliant on your opponent's actions and board state. Sometimes your opponent may simply be able to play around either of these effects by just not spending mana. Both of these cards will require your opponent to spend roughly 7 or 8 mana on their next turn before they become "even", and Nightmare Lord Xavius can possibly be killed before it does anything if your opponent has the means to kill it without needing to spend mana effectively making it winmore-y.
AeroJulwin
I like this. It's a neat juxtaposition of traditional Druid mechanics that work for this competition, and the class can play into the effect perfectly with ramp.
Linkblade91
I do prefer this version. It's more in line with what Corrupt is supposed to do, which I think is beneficial both for consistency and for gameplay.
In the end, I think it's going to be either Mage or Shaman, given that both classes see competitive play and I am close to hitting the 1000 wins goal with both.
Lightforged Uther is another incredibly sick skin (despite that strange, robotic, tubular armguard in the bottom right corner), but 540 wins are a lot...

Does each region have enough of an identity?
