Yea, I was kind of hoping it would focus on sniping or something similar, but as I mentioned in an earlier thread: Ezreal already sort of fits a psuedo "sniping" theme with the way he was designed (In LOR that is). It's understandable why they went this way with her, because any other way would probably feel too close to Ezreal's current theme/build.
My biggest issue with this is that this is gonna propel Teemo and or Bandle/PnZ region duo's even further into S Tier decks. Giving all this draw/removal, I guarantee Teemo/Bandle shroom decks will see more popularity over Caitlyn. I know I'm being a bit "doomsayer"-esque here but this just makes me fear the coming shroom festival and forced card draw.
I've also never been a huge proponent of bomb style/mill/forced draw decks. Player actionability is a more encouraging way to develop good player experiences over giving your players the ability to mess with opponent's cards on a massive scale.
To put simply: When you learn card games, you learn that draw is good. When you play card games, you know that generally drawing is good as it gives you more options and more answers.
"Bomb" or "Shroom" style decks flip that around and make it so "drawing is bad". Forcing discards, draw, and bomb/shroom traps really feels like it encourages a "screw with you mentality" than a "let's see who is more clever at playing their cards well" mindset. At least that's my 2 cents on the situation/topic...
Most Wanted forces your opponent to draw three if you target them, correct? It's designed for the trap synergy, but it's a very interesting effect to have in the game generally.
I really could not tell you. I don't remember anymore. But I always loved WOW universe, although never actually played WOW, and the art style of HS was captivating enough that I gave it a shot.
I do remember my first Legendary tho - Ysera - I used her in every deck back then :D
Lets say that MTG and YGO are very different from LOR in perspective. I very think that the true problem of Prank (as the spell) is his Focus speed, it may be Fast and people will be less concerned. Prank (As a mechanic) seems fun and a little opressive, but the champions being prank-inmune and spells only being pranked at it costs, in LOR where you have 3 extra resources for spells makes it less opressive. Coming back to the speed, i see myself deny-ing Pranks if my hand needs it, idk.
I'm kind of bummed out that they flaked on just outright deleting Battlemaster from the game, because I've been enjoying playing Quest Warlock as a Control build without the Battlemasters and only using Giants for pressure (innstead of lethal).
Since they only love-tapped the giants and Battlemaster is as playable at 6 as it is as 5 as long as you don't need to combo it with a buff spell like Paladin does I don't think there's any reason to drop it from the build.
but then you'd ruin Mo'arg for every other deck as well (especially stuff like Warlock using it quadruple lifesteal off Drain Soul). It's not an overpowered card by itself, it just got abused in a deck that had no business existing in the first place.
Can you explain the point of adding "Including Il'gynoth & Darkglare" to the tile? It's not like anyone is going to talk about the nerfs without mentioning these two cards.
calling darkglare warlock one of the most unfair decks of all time tells me that the person writing this article hasnt played much darkglare warlock. there are definitely unfair games, but you could say the same thing with plenty of other wild decks (e.g. apm mage, malygos druid, pirate warrior, shadow priest, brainlet hunter etc.) and id argue that darkglare warlock (without the questline; havent crafted the questline yet but have a ton of experience with zoolock/darkglare warlock lists) requires more quick thinking and skill on average to pull off insane plays than any other aggro deck in the format. still, this nerf isnt that bad and im sure darkglare warlock will be just fine, but i think its unfair to the people that have been playing and refining this archetype since dg was released to portray it as just an unfair list when in reality the "unfair" plays often come as a result of a really good execution and experience to be able to balance your health out to discount giants while also trying not to get blown up out of nowhere. other than that, flesh giant now being unplayable in evenlock is cringe
